That said, it is never my first choice due to the issues we have had with customer service, including getting snarled at for an honest, documented return and encountering clueless help in the small engine parts department. Last year, in the middle of growing season, we went in search of some vegetable and flower seeds in this FARM store only to find there were none. After many minutes and much discussion, we were lead to some closed plastic tubs full of mixed seed packets and told we could dig through them if we wanted. Since the packets were not grouped or ordered in any way, it was frustrating to stoop over and try to find anything, but we managed to locate a few things, which we were charged full price for even though by all appearances the seeds were on the way out. Overall, this is a fun store to shop, and if I thought they wanted my business I might spend more time and money here. ****Update 5/8/25**** I dropped one star based on the experience we had a few days ago. We were greeted as we walked in by an employee I had not seen before (common experience here). He then proceeded to "tail" us as we went around the store; I haven't had someone follow and watch me like this in 45 years. He appeared on every aisle we moved to, and pretended to be straightening racks that were perfectly straight- never approaching and asking if we needed help. So I guess we look like oldster shoplifters. Very creepy and a real incentive to shop elsewhere.

I would give zero stars if it would allow me. I purchased a 4' x 8' x 6' tall pet kennel made and…read moreadvertised for dogs from this location. It is constructed of 12 welded wire panels that have to be bolted together. It comes with a gray premade tarp that fits the 4 x 8' footprint of the kennel. The primary purpose was to keep a 55 lbs. dog in it. It lasted less than 48 hours. A medium size dog was able to chew through the welded wiring. After further inspection the welds on this cage are lacking. I have stored the same dog in multiple wire cages and kennels over the years and have never had this issue. I would not recommend this product to anybody. I would not recommend anybody doing business with this store. It took several days to finally get somebody to answer me on the phone as to what they would do to help me with my situation. By the time I was able to get an answer I have missplace the receipt. Without a receipt they're not even willing to take it in for exchange. I asked them to at least look for my credit card number I used. They claimed they did not have a way to search for purchase since I used a credit card. So I'm suck with a worthless pen. I'm disgusted with the lack of resolve and the lack of willingness to rectify the situation. They're not even willing to entertain anything. Thanks for taking my 300.00 bucks Orscheln's! Now, the repair and parts counter area I have visited a few times and they did get what I needed but they tend to gravitate to the old timers and regulars to visit about Aunt Bea and Opie before acknowledging the more unfamiliar face. We were poised to purchase several gates and panels however there were no prices to be found on the products and the website is of no help whatsoever as far as pricing of said items go.
