I researched several tree companies and had a few estimates. Then I called Stuart at Amber Tree Care (who I found on Yelp.) Stuart came out within a day or two to check out the tree and give me an estimate. The experience I had with him was amazing and totally different than with the other arborists. He was totally taken in by our property which is in a valley on a small stream with enormous trees. He walked the property and checked all of our trees. I have never met someone so passionate about what he does. He actually got really excited about a few of our specimen trees. He was open, informative and even fun to listen to and be with. His knowledge is extensive and he is a true professional. He offered suggestions for work that could be done in the future for the maintenance and health of the trees discussed, but was never pushy. His estimate was the most competitive of the three I got, but I would have hired him anyway because of his knowledge, confidence and passion. Stuart and his coworker came back 3 days later and dropped the dead very tricky tree with precision and expertise. It was not an easy feat! Stuart also made sure the property was cleaned up afterwards. NICE! He attempted to cut back a large Stewartia, but when it began to weep at one cut site, he stopped.
