It was conveniently located near my office in DeWitt, so I became a regular--and was thrilled when they opened a location closer to home in Utica. It definitely did not disappoint! My go-to is the hot pastrami on dark rye with Russian dressing. But don't make the rookie mistake of ordering a whole sandwich unless you have an exceptionally hearty appetite! These sandwiches are HUGE. I'm doing good just to make it through half of one. The Utica location occupies a turn-of-the-century warehouse, and the beautiful exposed brick walls give this already great deli a ton of character and a real sense of history. The staff is friendly, helpful, and more than happy to put together whatever sandwich masterpiece you can dream up. They also have a great selection of homemade sides, although I'll admit I've never gotten around to trying them. Between the size of the sandwich and my appetite, I'm lucky to get through half! The homemade pickles that come with every sandwich, however, are absolutely to die for. Parking can be a little challenging given the location, but don't give up...there's additional parking in the back, and the front lot tends to fill up quickly.
