Inside is nice and has everything you could need as far as drinks, snacks, and beer. Ice is available here. Gas prices are reasonable and it is Top Tier gas.

The inside of the store has a nice selection and friendly staff. We stopped by to get some ice cream, which was good, but not my favorite in the greater area. If you are looking for a drink or food you'll find Burger King, Starbucks, and Panera Bread for chains. Otherwise they have the convenience style store Applegreen. Lastly if you want more of a self-serve non Starbucks coffee when you walk in they have a self-serve coffee area. They also have a limited amount of seating options to enjoy your food/drinks while taking a break. Prices for any of those places and gas are higher than you'd like to pay but not surprising since your options are limited to this spot. It is the best option to avoid having to leave the highway system.

I do feel this is one of the better ones, and maybe lessons were learned from feedback on the first ones. This plaza has a lot more space for folks to sit or enjoy something to eat and drink. It's also nice that all the restaurants in this plaza are open on Sundays (which is currently not the case for many of the plazas westbound). The combination of Panera, Burger King, and Starbucks works well. I think the "U" shaped men's room is also an inefficient design, but I'm also satisfied to see multiple "family" style rest rooms available. I think a lot of other folks prefer this plaza, as it seemed busier than a lot of the other plazas eastbound on the Thruway.

Wow!!! A FULL SERVICE gas station! Unbelievable now-a-days!! The attendant was polite, asked which…read moreblend of gas we wanted, and commenced to do what the station advertises - full service. While the car was being filled he washed and dried the front and rear windshields. He then checked the oil; he showed us the dip stick, said it was at a safe level (didn't try and sell us an un-needed quart of oil that would over fill crank case causing more problems) and said the oil looked clean. I knew he was truthful because I had just had the oil changed about 2 weeks ago before we began our journey from Ohio to St. John, NB, Canada. This service station is easy to drive to with easy on and off of the New York Through Way at the Utica North/Downtown exit. I highly recommend this service station if you want FULL SERVICE or want to relive a nostolgic part of America's traveling past.
