Copper River - Lunch in Pueblo with my love! 805 draft and an Angry Orchard! Perfect addition to a crispy fried chicken sandwich!

Copper River is an excellent place to bring your family! Really delicious food, great atmosphere,…read moreexcellent service. The escape rooms are lots of fun, and we love Trivia Night (Sundays). This is a location that has had a couple of businesses there in the past that had issues, so I was a little hesitant to try them - but is under new ownership and management. Trinity, Kit, and their staff are truly fantastic. Highly recommend. I love the burgers, flourless chocolate cake, and oh my goodness, the Kickin' Bourbon Wings are my favorite! my son loves the arcade. Now that it's getting warmer, we will have to try the miniature golf. Not sure why Yelp is blocking positive reviews? says "3 other reviews that are not currently recommended". that's kinda weird.

As you read this you will see it is a mixed review. I will start with the positive. When you visit…read morethis restaurant you walk into a warm and inviting venue. The staff is friendly and they have a lot of space for parties and gatherings. They offer bowling, live music, and assorted activities out side. It was raining so I was unable to see them all. Our Server Morgan was wonderful, we were her last table of the night so we got the best service. I recommend asking for her when you visit. The Band was wonderful, not to loud where you couldn't speak at the table. Great music and a huge dance floor which was full. Will go back for this half of the restaurant. Now for the mixed side, The Food!! We ordered two specials (Loaded potatoes with soup) a Club sandwich and their Smash burger. The Burger, I asked for the Fries to be cooked extra crispy, they came out cooked normal. I picked one up and it sagged. I showed our server and she did not hesitate try tomake it right. She came back in a few minutes and started the cook (kitchen manager Ben) said they came out crispy and was not going to fix it. Morgan offered to just put in another order and see if she could get it cooked right. Putting another order means some is paying for it.she said she would take care of it she wanted us to enjoy our visit. She should not have to pay for it. I asked for a manager, Kayla (the lead server) came over. Kayla was very professional and I showed her the fries. She went back to talk to Ben and he said they cook them for 3 min, crispy is 3:45 minutes. I asked for 5 min. He refused saying he would not send out food that was not cooked right... All this just for crispy fries! Kayla again very professional and should be promoted to a Manger position! She got Ben to cook the fries, they said 5 mins but only a few on top were crispy the ones under still soft. This all took 20 minutes going back and forth. The Burger itself was very good. Get the burger but don't ask for crispy fries! Now with this being said both the potatoes were lukewarm warm as well as the soup! Having the issue with Ben on fries they decided not to say anything and took most of the potatoes to go. The Club, I was told was good. To the owner: I understand standards for cooking food but If your patron is asking food to be cooked a certain way it helps if the kitchen Manager tries to accommodate. Like if a person wants a steak cooked well and the cook says no he only cooks it medium. Not good! If you have read this far I always want to end on a good note. This is a nice place I will go back to. The Beer is cold the music is great and the wait staff is excellent. Ask for Morgan or Kayla when you go in. They have other servers who we do not interact with but watching the floor looked like everyone was happy with a Rayleigh, Kaylee and Abby!

For a hotel in a historical district, the room felt comfortable. Of course it was just the basic for room but without a refrigerator or microwave. I believe we could have asked for one but it was only one night so I didn't bother. One downfall was the bar was not tended regularly as I couldn't find him half the time and also not once did I get asked for a drink while I was gambling either.

I have always struggled with the fact that they have no cocktail waitresses and only one bartender for two floors and the 400 machines they boast except on Friday and Saturday when they have 2 bartenders in total and discovered that on Sundays over long weekends (like Labor Day), there is only one bartender as it is not a Friday of Saturday. These poor bartenders have to go to the floor to take orders as well as the bars. Good luck getting a drink. Now they have changed the rules for their Premier Club so that they only comp your rooms if you go to the desk each night and ask them to in spite of earning enough points to get it comped. Their site does not say that and I received nothing in the mail nor in my email noting this change. My rooms were always automatically comped. I travel with a small dog and when I went in February, I was still able to use my points to pay the $100 pet fee as I aways have now you can only use your points dollars for food and, even at that, the money you transfer for food expires in 24 hours. All of this intended to keep you from cashing in on your rewards. I only found this out when I checked out and they charged me for the room and pet in spite of earning nearly 6,000 base points during my stay worth $600 in rewards. When I was justifiably mad and voiced my frustration, a security guard got in my space and told me to leave "Now!". I asked him, "what, I am not allowed to get upset?" he replied, "no, leave now!" and stepped within reach of me to intimidate me to leave. Clearly he had no training in de-escalation or customer service. When I said that I will never come here again, he replied, "we don't want you back, leave NOW!". I left and will never return again. During my stay I heard numerous patrons complain about the casino changing their rules one of them was a very loud and upset self-described platinum member. I note that they installed a new computer system while we were there and shut down the casino playing from 1:30 AM to 6 AM two nights in a row. After the change, we only lost and lost big. Too much of a coincidence for me.
