My problem came in with the car show that me and my wife decided to attend with her 1972 Grand Prix. Number one my wife and I both have COPD and they placed us on the entire other side of the building which is at least a half a mile long if not a little more walking distance to the bathroom which at first they only had one bathroom open Not only was it on the other side he had to walk him walk to the right, and then almost to the front of the building they opened up another one, but on the same side they would've been more smarter to open up a bathroom on one side and open up a bathroom on the other And this is something that they should've learned the first time around that they did this cause. Evidently this is their second year running one. My second complaint is the fact that their food vendor was only selling hotdogs. Yes, they had soda and water and a variety of chips, but only hotdogs what vendor only sells hotdogs what person in their right mind only sells hot dogs this is just wrong on all levels you at least have Brotz and hotdogs or Brotz and burgers you have choices don't come at me with food And you're supposedly selling food for a cause with only hotdogs that's an insult to your public. There are people who don't like hotdogs who prefer the other or at least Brats. Come on now you're supposed to be smart people.... We also felt like there should've been more prizes for other cars Especially when you advertise more than just hotdogs on your advertisement. Number three They clearly had cones catering to one specific car club saving parking for a favored club Is kind of dishonorable amongst clubs No one particular car club should have first dibs unless they are the ones that are putting it on and I don't think MOB was... We were not impressed... We are not sure we're coming back again hotdogs? We're not two years old.

When asked what happened the director Nicole Armstrong has to investigate - meaning staff are not keeping track and documenting accidents. My father had visible marks on his forehead so clearly he hit his head.... Yet it's taking days to figure out what occurred. When I arrive he has been seen in the hallway bare assed on a hallway couch - with staff down the hallway chatting amongst themselves. And he almost always smells of urine, feces, or body odor. They work with people suffering from dementia but don't know how to work with these people. There is no dignity, no understanding, ZERO COMMUNICATION, and serious lack of record keeping. FUCK LAYTON TERRACE. PS- do not believe any reply from the company - they DO NOT CARE. All they care about is money lining their pockets, continuously raising rent but never improving the quality of care. They won't take initiative to investigate nor to call me. Just like previous negative reviews, they will reply with a number for me to call. When I do, they won't answer and I will NEVER get resolution.

I have had several family members that lived in our communities. I was always happy with the care they received. My father-in-law lived in Spring House (Memory Care) at Layton Terrace until he passed away. I feel the staff really knew him and did a great job of re-directing him when he became agitated. They knew what he liked to eat. They would listen to his stories. Our family appreciated all they did for Norm.

Have to admit, first impression was concerning. BUT they quickly won me over. From the nurses,…read moresocial worker, therapist, to nutritionist, every single person was kind and caring, advocating for my mom. Are they understaffed? Yes, but who isn't. The most telling was when my mom was able to come home, she said she missed her friends (staff) there and said she loved every single one of them. My mom is a glass-mostly-empty person so this is truly of the highest compliment.

As a prospective employee who dealt with a ton of issues during the hiring process and was given…read morethe run around by HR for a month before having my offer rescinded, I would strongly recommend that you reconsider working for or residing at this facility. Ultimately, it became clear to me that VMP does not like staff who speak up and their primary goal is to better cover up issues rather than actually fix them. They are currently under corrective action from the state and have a one star rating. The HR manager slipped up today when I pressed her and admitted she had conversations with the CEO, COO, and therapy director and that they were concerned that I would be one to report issues that I saw and that was the primary reason that they decided to rescind my job offer. Prior to this conversation, I was given a bunch of other conflicting reasons and lies were made up, including claiming that I refused to accept the pay they offered me even though I only learned in that conversation that they actually got exactly what I asked for approved. Holly (HR) and Lisa (HR manager) were the two people I've been dealing with for the last month and I would recommend that you get everything in writing or record your conversations with them in particular to protect yourself (WI does not require you to let them know you are recording them FYI). Holly said so many lies it made my head spin and the few times I had hard evidence that she was lying her story would change entirely and she would say that she "made a mistake" and "misspoke". Lisa said that Holly followed company policy, even when I pointed out that Holly was even caught in a lie in a conversation we all had on the phone together. Lisa also claimed that no one has ever said Holly is unprofessional, implying that I was the issue, but in the exact same sentence said that Holly admitted to being unprofessional with her lack of communication with me and follow through of actually calling me when she said she would (for reference, on several occasions she would tell me she'd call me on Friday, and then we didn't speak again until the following Thursday only because I would call her). Ultimately, the therapy department is understaffed right now, they told me how desperately they needed my help, and offered me the job on the spot, but they would rather operate understaffed than risk having an employee who advocates for the residents. I am passing this information along to the state too since they are still under corrective actions, but feel it's important that potential employees and residents are aware of the depth of problems here. Other past employee reviews on different websites also echo that anyone who speaks up about treatment of residents is fired, so be prepared to file a whistleblower claim if you take a job here. As someone who rarely reviews places, it really means something that this place made me concerned enough to warn people on several review platforms. I knew that VMP had high turnover in staff, but now I know why.
