She made her feel very comfortable and was fun to work with so it allowed the personality of my daughter to shine through the many beautiful photos we have to choose from. All with a unique flair. In addition to the amazing photos, Leahana has great suggestions for locations, provides a packet of information prior to the day with tips for wardrobe, and is SOO good with kids! I highly recommend Shawnalee Studios! She did my daughter's senior pictures and I was so impressed…read morewith her work that I joined her "Women over 40" Project and had my own photo shoot. My photos turned out incredible! So much so that I couldn't narrow them down to a select few- I had to invest in the entire portfolio. The end product you get too, the albums and portfolio boxes, are simply gorgeous! Even if you think you're not photogenic and don't know how to pose for pictures and prefer to be the one behind the camera (not in front of it) just go for it. You won't regret it. I was super nervous and stiff to begin with but Shawnalee does a fantastic job helping you relax and feel safe so it all feels natural. It's so important to document our lives as women and show others (and most importantly ourselves) that we are beautiful and sexy at every stage of our lives.

I hired Powers Studios, and fell for their marketing…read more I had good engagement photos, but I didn't like the wedding photos. I was sold on the extra photographer because their explanation was one would be aimed at us, and one at guests for the same events (to get a fuller picture). Nope, many of our shots were two photographers from different angles. We did their online form and hired them just a few months before our wedding. Somehow they told us the two we selected as our top photographers were available. I kinda feel like it was not true and just propaganda. I just wanted a few photos that I can print and show around my home. I spent $500 after the wedding to take more photos. Also, part of my anger is that my family is latino, and dark skinned. Nearly all of the photos did not include my family. I gave them a list of 4-5 people that were important to us and to get photos (my dad, my aunt). I have one photo of my aunt where she's the focus (she was my mother figure growing up) and she's looking from the side, and I have I believe 3 of my dad. I'm not sure how this happened, but I do have one of my dad that I just love. I asked for about two dozen to get edited one way or another and they tried to charge me just to do that thing you see online where only one color is highlighted in a photo and the rest is greyscale. I couldn't believe the audacity that to do that to just two photos they would charge me. There's free online software, but when you spend around $1k for photographers, you'd think they could spend a short amount of time. Pros: quick turnaround on engagement photos, good engagement photos, friendly Cons: treated me like they were doing me a favor, second photographer was not noticeably adding a benefit, poor photo quality (I'll attach some of the ones they sent me), did not take photos of two of the people I asked to be highlighted, didn't take many photos of the dark skinned people at my wedding. This is one of the most expensive photographers we sought a quote from, so I expected better. In response to my post, Seppi wishes I had reached out to him sooner. I emailed him multiple times regarding not the quality and costs. No offer for reshoot, refund were offered. His response is dose genius. After posting this a coworker told me her friends had the same experience of disappointment with this studio.

Creative. Dynamic. Portland. Three words to describe Powers Photography, as I've been very…read moreimpressed with all they've had to offer thus far. There are certainly a dime a dozen photographers who specialize in all sorts of special events, but many of them aren't in the same league as these pros. Capturing the moment is a skill best practiced by the photographers of PPS. Like many before me, I took part in a series of wedding shots (as one of many groomsman) during the summer time and the results that came of it were simply spectacular. Initially I didn't think much of the photographers as they didn't seem to be extremely demanding for our poses, have a vocal sense of direction, and they weren't lugging around much equipment. But after seeing the photos they took post processing, it really is about the person behind the lens, as opposed to the lens itself. They were organized, flexible with large groups of folks, great at composition, and even had a plan for an itinerary of photo taking throughout the day. Not all of us were made to be models, but they did a stellar job of showcasing everyone's best sides. If it were simply about the portfolio, they'd get the job any day. But what made the experience complete, was the fun loving, professional attitude that they managed to incorporate throughout the entire process. Bravo Powers!

Stop looking for photographers and just book The Willinghams aka Drew and Angela. Don't keep…read morelooking. Don't meet with other photographers, just book them. Why, you ask? Where do we begin? 1. You are actually dealing with Drew and Angela. Not their secretary. Not their big gigantic company. You get them for every mundane question you have. They own the company and take pride in themselves. You talk to Drew and Angela whenever you need something. So, on the wedding day, there is no doubt about who is showing up, it's them. It's been them all along. And I don't know what else you could ask for in regards to your photographers. 2. Their professionalism. From the day we reached out they showed us nothing but impeccable professionalism. They were timely in every email response (usually less than 24 hours), on our wedding day, they were early, and literally stayed with us until we were walking out of the venue ourselves, and then, getting our pictures to us. I have heard nightmare stories from my friends about chasing down their photographers, but not Drew & Angela. They had our photos to us in less than a month, and all we can say is WOW. They also worked seamlessly with our videographer. There was never an issue or needing to re-do anything because they are just the kindest and nicest people to work with. 3. Them. My husband and I are awkward. But we knew that Drew and Angela would make us feel comfortable. They spent the day quoting movie lines with us, talking about our beloved pets, and we never felt like we were being forced into awkward poses. We had shared our vision with what we wanted, and they made it come to life and even better than we could have ever asked for. 4. The feedback. Even as the wedding was happening, we had our guests coming up to us complimenting us how amazing they were. People were telling us how they were "everywhere, and yet not there" never making people feel awkward or that they were intruding on a perfect moment. But, they captured them. They captured all of them. I can't even begin express how happy we are with the pictures. They found cute moments, people raging, and even got an entire group of teachers to look in one direction for a table picture, which, up until now, I thought was the impossible task. We wish we had another major event for them to photograph for us in the near future, but sadly, we can't bring them on our honeymoon to Italy with us. However, we will leave with this: if you are looking for artistic, beautiful and genuine photos, book the Willinghams. They will capture everything and more about your wedding day. From a quick fireball shot with your girls while getting ready, to the laughs you share with your soon to be husband, and every small and intimate moment with your guests in between. You are dealing with wonderful people who truly just want to make you feel amazing on your day, and they will. They are one of kind and they make you feel that way as well. Don't keep looking. Book the Willinghams. You will not regret it!

She recommened some really great group shots that ended up being my favorite photos of the entire event. Like most women, I've got some problem areas, and I was very upfront with Rayleigh, telling her to adjust my poses if I didn't look perfect, or to position other people around me so I looked my best. She wasn't afraid to take my advice, and worked some total photo editing magic on my less-than-perfect arms! Woo hoo! I've seen her work on other weddings and portrait sessions, and she is amazing! She recently began doing boudoir shoots (ladies: if you aren't familiar with this, look it up!) and her work is phenomonal. She'll make you look amazing.
