We used Fritz for our wedding this past July and they were amazing!!!! From our initial reach out/inquiry to the final product, we were impressed. They were quick to get back to us on availability , cost, options and followed up after to make sure all made sense. We got super lucky w our actual day of photographer , Shelby, he was incredible! We didn't meet him before the day, but we had some good chats with him prior, and he went above and beyond. He was so chill and comfortable, we felt like he belonged in our weeding. We had a lot of kids of various ages as well as older family members with language barriers and he worked so well with all of them. He listened to what we wanted, and added his own ideas and our photos were incredible. We wanted lots on candid and all the family photos, and they did not disappoint!! He never made us fee stressed or unaffordable, took his time yet was efficient. Our guests were even talking about how friendly he was after the fact!! We had a pretty low key vibe with no cake cutting, bouquet toss, first dance, no speeches etc.... And as the evening continued we changed our minds a bit and he just went w it and didn't even hesitate!! At one point I needed my step dad to sign papers and he himself went to look for my mom to locate him, not his responsibility, but was so appreciated, and he just made it seem like no big deal :) We had expectations of a few decent photos as we were on a tight budget, but what we got was so much better!! We spent one hour with Laurie, who was our photographer. She was flexible, sweet, and creative with our active toddler during our holiday photo session at their studio location in NW Portland. I have nothing negative to say about her or our experience taking photos. Sadly, the cost of digital photos is a lot more than our family can afford. We have worked with some wonderful photographers over the years to capture life events such as engagement, wedding, pregnancy, and baby milestones. Fritz Photography's pricing is the most expensive by a landslide. Perhaps their usual customer base has the luxury of spending over $1,000 on a few holiday pictures for the purpose of making Christmas cards. Pricing is not clearly stated on their website, so for the sake of transparency: -$375 for the session alone (no photos included) -$800 for high-resolution digital images (whole gallery) *although I'm not sure who needs 70+ holiday photos* -$400 for web-resolution digital images (whole gallery) -$100 for EACH high-resolution digital image -$45 for EACH web-resolution digital image -$160 for 25 Holiday Cards In the end, the whole experience just left me feeling really sad and disappointed. read more

Have photos done. Buy only digital photos you really love and go to shutterfly. It would of saved me thousands! My daughter just graduated June 2021. We had our booking in late November 2020 and with weeks we received our order. 2500.00 for the sitting fee, 4 wall pics, 5 images (100 a pc) and a photo book. Loved the wall hangings. Couldn't believe we had to pay 100.00 each for each digital photo to have prints done. The book was terrible and I immediately told him I was dissatisfied. He refused to take any blame saying I refused to add more pictures. And if I want he could try to add a few more. the book had several Blank pages, single photo on each page that had different margins that looked not proportioned. I ended up in the emergency room not long after our back and forth and his no solution of my dissatisfaction. So I let it go. I decided to hide the book and show a few people. She had her graduation this last weekend and EVERY SINGLE person I talked to said I could of done better on shutterfly! That is why I am doing the review now. I used Shutterfly for her announcements and they turned out great. Fritz was professional, although be didn't use the full time slotted. He said I have what I need plus you don't have to walk more. I am disabled but my daughter could of gone with him to fill the time - it had nothing to do with me. He did do a good job setting my daughter at ease, I am thankful for that. I am not happy with the book, bound in leather that will now be hidden again or tossed. Totally disappointed. As a business owner there should of been a resolution. First blaming me for photo selection, not explaining gap pages where he could if condensed several pages to have a full book....it doesn't make sense. read more

He really is an amazing photographer. My boyfriend and I are super awkward when it comes to having our pictures taken and we were really nervous about the photoshoot, but he made us feel so comfortable. It was an easy choice for us to select Fritz to be our wedding photographer--one of my friends' used him for their wedding this summer and the photos are spectacular (chances are you have seen some of them around town!) Since we were having a small wedding (less than 20 people) I wanted someone who was not only creative, but also artistic. I did not want our wedding photos to look like a yearbook! He did not disappoint! All of our guests found him fun and pleasant to work with. We were able to take photos outside in the streets of Portland which were fantastic. It was fun and we felt like models! We also have some of the best family photos my family has ever had (my Mom and the camera don't have a great relationship). My son just had his senior photo session with Fletcher and it exceeded all of our expectations. My son asked for an urban setting and Fletcher directed us to an area in NW Portland that was wonderful and diverse in a 3-4 block area. We used FritzPhotography (specifically, Kyle and Jennifer) to shoot our wedding in Seattle this past August. We are so happy with the results! We have SO MANY good pictures to choose from (nearly 1000 from our 8 hour day). There was so much that we would have missed just having one photographer, I'm glad we went with two. The whole experience, from an initial website inquiry to our last meeting where we picked up the cd of images and picked our images for the storybook album, was great. Totally relaxed, no high pressure to buy prints or additional books. Kyle was a true professional and captured our day exactly as I want to remember it. I appreciate his style and that he was able to get shots that I didn't even think to ask for. We also opted to add the photobooth and it was a hit! I wasn't sure if people would use it - but we have the gallery to prove that they did! It was such an easy add-on (we added it at the last minute) and I'm glad it was an option. As part of our package, we also got our engagement photo session. Kyle suggested that we head to Powell's and then maybe hit up a bridge for the quintessential Portland experience. We were so comfortable working with him, and never felt like we were posing or being unnatural or not being ourselves. Kyle really captured us being "us"... The book of our engagement photos is fantastic. Fritz puts them into order himself, and he has a great eye. We loved everything and would do it all the same if we could. We need a photo for our wedding invitation. And we made an appointment with Fritz after a little research on Yelp. We paid $220 for the simple portrait session along with makeup, which is rather reasonable. But the high resolution digital photo will cost you $100 EACH!!! I bet you can find a better deal from other photographer, assuming you need the high resolution digital copies. Our photographer Kyle is great. He did a good job and was cheerful to work with. But we can only give two star because I HATE my makeup!!! The makeup artist had no workstation at Fritz but came to the studio with a toolbox. They let you sit on a window side chair and you had no idea what you look like during the makeup. You got to take a look at yourself using the restroom mirror, at the end when it was too late to make any changes! Another tip is that the $125 for $95 voucher only works for the photo session. Fritz won't accept it for the photo order. This is NOT stated clearly. read more
