They did our wedding photos and we seriously loved HUNDREDS of the photos. No one even noticed them taking photos yet they took the most stunning candid and staged family photos. I am so happy we chose them for our wedding. We have so many moments to remember, and they captured so many people beautifully at our wedding. They have a real skill- you will be so happy you decided to go with them. read more

We used Fritz for our wedding this past July and they were amazing!!!! From our initial reach out/inquiry to the final product, we were impressed. They were quick to get back to us on availability , cost, options and followed up after to make sure all made sense. We got super lucky w our actual day of photographer , Shelby, he was incredible! We didn't meet him before the day, but we had some good chats with him prior, and he went above and beyond. He was so chill and comfortable, we felt like he belonged in our weeding. We had a lot of kids of various ages as well as older family members with language barriers and he worked so well with all of them. He listened to what we wanted, and added his own ideas and our photos were incredible. We wanted lots on candid and all the family photos, and they did not disappoint!! He never made us fee stressed or unaffordable, took his time yet was efficient. Our guests were even talking about how friendly he was after the fact!! We had a pretty low key vibe with no cake cutting, bouquet toss, first dance, no speeches etc.... And as the evening continued we changed our minds a bit and he just went w it and didn't even hesitate!! At one point I needed my step dad to sign papers and he himself went to look for my mom to locate him, not his responsibility, but was so appreciated, and he just made it seem like no big deal :) We had expectations of a few decent photos as we were on a tight budget, but what we got was so much better!! I'd recommend Fritz to anyone who asks, and would highly encourage they ask for Shelby :) thank you for being a part of our day and capturing it perfectly!! read more

Laurie did family photos for us and drove all the way out to Molalla for our session. She was friendly and easy going and the photos turned out beautiful. we loved our experience! read more

We spent one hour with Laurie, who was our photographer. She was flexible, sweet, and creative with our active toddler during our holiday photo session at their studio location in NW Portland. I have nothing negative to say about her or our experience taking photos. Sadly, the cost of digital photos is a lot more than our family can afford. We have worked with some wonderful photographers over the years to capture life events such as engagement, wedding, pregnancy, and baby milestones. Fritz Photography's pricing is the most expensive by a landslide. Perhaps their usual customer base has the luxury of spending over $1,000 on a few holiday pictures for the purpose of making Christmas cards. Pricing is not clearly stated on their website, so for the sake of transparency: -$375 for the session alone (no photos included) -$800 for high-resolution digital images (whole gallery) *although I'm not sure who needs 70+ holiday photos* -$400 for web-resolution digital images (whole gallery) -$100 for EACH high-resolution digital image -$45 for EACH web-resolution digital image -$160 for 25 Holiday Cards In the end, the whole experience just left me feeling really sad and disappointed. read more

The photographers were so friendly and our wedding pictures turned out amazing!! Guests commented on how nice they were and they captured so many moments so artistically that I, as a bride, missed. And now we have so many beautiful pictures to remember our special day. Thank you Desirea! read more

Laurie and Amanda were the photographers for our wedding and they did an amazing job. We ended up with over 700 incredible photos. They were great to work with and I'd hire them again in a heartbeat if we ever need professional photography. read more

Fritz was so amazing for our wedding photos that we hired him again when we wanted to have some keepsakes made with some multi-generation family photos. Fritz is an artist and his work now is a keepsake that I will hand down to other generations. His work is a treasure. read more

Fantastic! From booking to shoot experience to final products they are super professional, friendly and high quality!

Disappointed in out-of-pocket costs for prints. $20 for a single 4x6 print. $700 for high-quality digital gallery. Recommend asking for printing fees prior to booking as I was VERY surprised and unable to afford my photos. Beautiful portraits, but lack in candid creativity (personal preference). Not what I had hoped for but I appreciate the refund for my unhappiness. read more

Have photos done. Buy only digital photos you really love and go to shutterfly. It would of saved me thousands! My daughter just graduated June 2021. We had our booking in late November 2020 and with weeks we received our order. 2500.00 for the sitting fee, 4 wall pics, 5 images (100 a pc) and a photo book. Loved the wall hangings. Couldn't believe we had to pay 100.00 each for each digital photo to have prints done. The book was terrible and I immediately told him I was dissatisfied. He refused to take any blame saying I refused to add more pictures. And if I want he could try to add a few more. the book had several Blank pages, single photo on each page that had different margins that looked not proportioned. I ended up in the emergency room not long after our back and forth and his no solution of my dissatisfaction. So I let it go. I decided to hide the book and show a few people. She had her graduation this last weekend and EVERY SINGLE person I talked to said I could of done better on shutterfly! That is why I am doing the review now. I used Shutterfly for her announcements and they turned out great. Fritz was professional, although be didn't use the full time slotted. He said I have what I need plus you don't have to walk more. I am disabled but my daughter could of gone with him to fill the time - it had nothing to do with me. He did do a good job setting my daughter at ease, I am thankful for that. I am not happy with the book, bound in leather that will now be hidden again or tossed. Totally disappointed. As a business owner there should of been a resolution. First blaming me for photo selection, not explaining gap pages where he could if condensed several pages to have a full book....it doesn't make sense. read more

This is the perfect place to book your senior pictures! Laurie was so great to work with! She was fun, easygoing and so helpful with everything. My daughter was feeling very unsure and uncomfortable with the whole idea of a photo shoot with just her, but by the end, she was laughing and having a blast! I had explained that my daughter was unsure of what to do and how to pose, and she helped so much and had her in the cutest poses ever! Because of the wonderful experience, her pictures were just perfect! Her smile is genuine and not forced. Laurie was so patient with me and explained my options to me until she was sure I understood. I was so happy with this entire experience and so was my daughter. I will tell everyone looking for a photographer about Fritz photography forever! read more

Laurie was an absolute dream! She was so much fun and helped make our day so much easier. We're so glad to have worked with Laurie.  We're from L.A. and I wanted to surprise my fiancee with an engagement by the waterfalls for the weekend.  I arranged it and shared my plans with Laurie.  She was so kind and patient with my ideas.  I sent her a picture of my fiancee and I so that she could locate us in the crowds and capture my proposal.  It was such a great and thrilling moment for us and my fiancee was super surprised.  Laurie was so friendly and chatted with us as we walked up the rest of the trail posing and taking pictures.  She provided such a great touch that made the moment extra memorable.  I'm grateful for our easy communication and execution.  We're so happy with the results that captured our personalities and energy! Thank you! read more

We had a wonderful experience with Laurie, who took our son's senior portraits in Forest Park. She quickly put him at ease and chose beautiful spots. Our meeting selecting the photos was low pressure and there were many many excellent photos to choose from. We would highly recommend Fritz photography. We will be back for family portraits soon. read more

We have had the opportunity to work with Fritz twice and both times were AMAZING! He is professional, open to creative suggestions, and easy to work with. This review is a long time coming. Kyle photographed our small wedding and was a champ the whole time. He had to navigate my family, our dog, and the streets of Portland during protests to get our photos, but he was incredible. He was definitely a wonderful addition to our day. Also, he managed to dress totally on point for our aesthetic, so kudos to him on that. I love our photos. read more

Fritz was fabulous to work with!! We have a crazy schedule due to competitive soccer and he helped us find a time for my daughter's senior photos. She wanted outdoor sunset pictures because she loves to watch the sunset. Fritz had the perfect location. We showed up with 5 outfits and Fritz told her what to put on and when according to where he was shooting the pictures at. It was so nice to not have to make those decisions! My daughter really enjoyed the experience. Looking forward to seeing the final product in a few days!! read more

We were gifted a family photoshoot with Fritz Photography and had a great time! Laurie Carter was our photographer and she was wonderful. She was easy to schedule with, fun and engaging with our 10-month-old, and had great ideas for poses. She was willing to come to our house and knew immediately the best locations for pictures. We just saw our images and couldn't be happier with the quality. Take a look at products and digital image pricing ahead of time so you can make the most of your photoshoot. read more

It was an easy choice for us to select Fritz to be our wedding photographer--one of my friends' used him for their wedding this summer and the photos are spectacular (chances are you have seen some of them around town!) Since we were having a small wedding (less than 20 people) I wanted someone who was not only creative, but also artistic. I did not want our wedding photos to look like a yearbook! He did not disappoint! All of our guests found him fun and pleasant to work with. We were able to take photos outside in the streets of Portland which were fantastic. It was fun and we felt like models! We also have some of the best family photos my family has ever had (my Mom and the camera don't have a great relationship). Our photos were available for viewing online in our own gallery within a few days. I think everyone we know has seen them now and the feedback we have gotten has been great. One person even responded that he "is not a photographer, he is a true artist." We feel the same way. Our wedding day was captured in a truly unforgettable way. I highly recommend Fritz to anyone planning a wedding in the Portland area. In fact if you don't book him I think you are making a mistake! My close friend who is getting married this summer in Virginia said if she hadn't already booked a local photographer she would have flown him in for her wedding! read more

Fritz is awesome! He is super quick at responding to inquiries. I made an inquiry on his website and he called me back within 5-10 minutes. He has been really quick at responding to emails as well. He really is an amazing photographer. My boyfriend and I are super awkward when it comes to having our pictures taken and we were really nervous about the photoshoot, but he made us feel so comfortable. We really had a blast and the pictures came out so beautiful. We are so grateful that we found Fritz on yelp as we couldn't have asked for a better photographer to take our pictures. We don't live in Oregon, but if we ever needed any more pictures taken we would go there just to have Fritz take them. He really is the best at what he does and I can't put into words how happy we are about the results of the pictures. read more

We used FritzPhotography (specifically, Kyle and Jennifer) to shoot our wedding in Seattle this past August. We are so happy with the results! We have SO MANY good pictures to choose from (nearly 1000 from our 8 hour day). There was so much that we would have missed just having one photographer, I'm glad we went with two. The whole experience, from an initial website inquiry to our last meeting where we picked up the cd of images and picked our images for the storybook album, was great. Totally relaxed, no high pressure to buy prints or additional books. Kyle was a true professional and captured our day exactly as I want to remember it. I appreciate his style and that he was able to get shots that I didn't even think to ask for. We also opted to add the photobooth and it was a hit! I wasn't sure if people would use it - but we have the gallery to prove that they did! It was such an easy add-on (we added it at the last minute) and I'm glad it was an option. As part of our package, we also got our engagement photo session. Kyle suggested that we head to Powell's and then maybe hit up a bridge for the quintessential Portland experience. We were so comfortable working with him, and never felt like we were posing or being unnatural or not being ourselves. Kyle really captured us being "us"... The book of our engagement photos is fantastic. Fritz puts them into order himself, and he has a great eye. We loved everything and would do it all the same if we could. Now we're just waiting to see our wedding storybook and the parent albums! I know they're going to be amazing. read more

Our wedding photos are absolutely stunning. The photos that Fritz took have heard more compliments than I'm sure even Fritz can imagine. Other friends that have been married within the last year are almost upset with us that our pictures are so fantastic. At a great price, and to have such a great person taking your long lasting memories, Fritz comes highly recommended. read more

Fritz was fantastic. He made our senior daughter feel incredibly comfortable and his talent as a photographer really showed. He caught amazing light dynamics and her senior pics are beautiful. My son just had his senior photo session with Fletcher and it exceeded all of our expectations. My son asked for an urban setting and Fletcher directed us to an area in NW Portland that was wonderful and diverse in a 3-4 block area. Fletcher had a keen eye for detail and knew the perfect places to get an interesting shot. He was knowledgable about poses and made my son feel comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Fletcher was welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic and a very genuine person. The experience never felt rushed, and in fact, it was a treat from beginning to end. I also very much appreciate the preparation and excellent communication by Fletcher, Fritz, and everyone I have encountered in working with Fritz photography. read more

Fritz made us feel like we were the only customer he had in his portfolio. He paid close attention to our requirements and counseled us based on his experience which we found invaluable. He was referred to us by friends who had employed his services in the past. We had high expectations knowing the standards of our friends. I can say unequivocally he exceeded those expectations. "Thank you" for making our special day one we can enjoy forever as a result of your wonderful photography. Sincerely, Tabetha and Vinnie Martorano read more

Absolutely fantastic. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer than Amy. She was a huge part of what made our wedding day perfect. Highly recommend these guys!! read more

We need a photo for our wedding invitation. And we made an appointment with Fritz after a little research on Yelp. We paid $220 for the simple portrait session along with makeup, which is rather reasonable. But the high resolution digital photo will cost you $100 EACH!!! I bet you can find a better deal from other photographer, assuming you need the high resolution digital copies. Our photographer Kyle is great. He did a good job and was cheerful to work with. But we can only give two star because I HATE my makeup!!! The makeup artist had no workstation at Fritz but came to the studio with a toolbox. They let you sit on a window side chair and you had no idea what you look like during the makeup. You got to take a look at yourself using the restroom mirror, at the end when it was too late to make any changes! Another tip is that the $125 for $95 voucher only works for the photo session. Fritz won't accept it for the photo order. This is NOT stated clearly. read more

I rarely post yelp reviews but our experience with a family portrait by Fritz photo was perfect! Amy our photographer truly understood how to keep our 14mo engaged and the pics as a result were incredible. Last summer, I went to Fritz for my senior portraits, and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer! They turned out beautifully, and working with him was great. He was easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable throughout the session. I didn't want my senior pictures to be the same old cliche poses, and Fritz didn't disappoint. His ideas were very creative and interesting. The price wasn't too bad either. Overall a great experience. read more

Highly recommend! Fritz met us on-site to accommodate my daughter's request to incorporate street art for her senior photos. He asked for my daughter's input which, to me, shows that he appreciates and respects all his clients. Truly appreciate his professionalism and we can't wait to see the finished product! read more

Best wedding photographer ever! Being a photog myself I spent a ton of time researching wedding photographers in Portland. Fritz exceeded all of my expectations. Technically he is superb, he's totally happy to go out of the box if that's what you want, super likable, and he flawlessly blends in unless he can help with something, then he jumps right in. Bottom line, we've got the best wedding photos I've ever seen. read more
