There is very little shade. Just a lot of lifeguards on power trips. One day I was there during my kid's swim lesson and they made parents move from one of the few shady spots because "they have to be behind the white line." Why??? They empty the pools 10 minutes before they close, and won't let you in to swim within 20 minutes of closing. The hours are shorter from mid June to mid-August when kids are out of school. None of it makes any sense.

Finally got my kid to be in a swim class and even though I had just had surgery and not allowed in the water...I wasn't allowed to be there because I didn't bring a bathing suit. If attendance increases, they may be a year round pool again this year, so please come out and support the pool. For those over 50 years old, you can buy a pass good for 30 entries for only $25! Ingrid, the manager, has made sure all the clocks work, and that the soap dispensers work in the outdoor showers. These are small things, but they make a difference to your experience there. Hours are 12 to 8 Tuesday through Friday, and 1-5 Saturday and Sunday. It's never been very crowded when I'm there. Come on out, and let's help them build attendance so they can stay open all year this year!
