I've seen these people being very rude and yelling at the staff when the staff are just doing their job. The rules are right on the wall and people like to think they don't exist. Jennifer has been nothing but nice to me and my family all summer. The rest of the staff has been great as well! Matthew and Dakota are two lifeguards that we see often and they always nice and friendly as well. Alex in the office is always friendly and will even lend out goggles for kids who want to borrow some for the day. The entire staff here are so friendly and get treated so poorly by people who feel entitled to everything. Note: I asked why the slide is closed and I was told that they're so short staff. It's probably because people no longer want to work here because people treat them so badly. Keep treating these people poorly and soon you won't have a pool to come to.

When I pointed out that my mom wasn't wearing one either, she abruptly told me that my mom would now have to leave too and that my eight-year-old daughter could stay at the pool BY HERSELF. What?? I understand the facility has rules and policies, and I would have had no problem following them once they were explained. However, these rules were not obvious to someone visiting for the first time, and I hadn't seen them when I looked up the pool beforehand. My issue wasn't simply the policy--it was the condescending way Carol communicated it and what appeared to be inconsistent enforcement, especially when I saw other guests on the pool deck in street clothes. When I addressed Carol about the way she had spoken to me on my way out, she immediately became defensive and called over "Jennifer." Jennifer initially apologized, but ultimately seemed dismissive of my concerns as well and focused on explaining the rules rather than acknowledging how the situation had been handled. I was visiting my mom from out of state and simply wanted to enjoy an afternoon at the pool with her and my daughter. Unfortunately, the way we were treated completely soured the experience, and we definitely won't be returning.

Finally got my kid to be in a swim class and even though I had just had surgery and not allowed in the water...I wasn't allowed to be there because I didn't bring a bathing suit. And on my first visit of the season, yesterday, I learned that they became a year-round pool this past year. If attendance increases, they may be a year round pool again this year, so please come out and support the pool. For those over 50 years old, you can buy a pass good for 30 entries for only $25! Ingrid, the manager, has made sure all the clocks work, and that the soap dispensers work in the outdoor showers. These are small things, but they make a difference to your experience there. Hours are 12 to 8 Tuesday through Friday, and 1-5 Saturday and Sunday. It's never been very crowded when I'm there. Come on out, and let's help them build attendance so they can stay open all year this year!

Yes, different gyms offer different amenities, but the CSUN SRC wins just by its class offerings. You may have seen my GX class reviews on the MindBody app, but the fact that you can get unlimited fitness classes with your SRC membership feels unparalleled. I have been able to take so many different unique classes, but I am quite partial to group dance cardio classes. Other class offerings include yoga, Pilates, boxing, cycling, barre, strength conditioning, etc. My biggest regret is not taking advantage of these classes earlier. Aside from exercise classes, you also get a different kind of crowd at a university gym. You see other students here, but also alumni, faculty, and you could bring your friends or family here with a guest pass.

Tl;dr we're not coming back with our younger children…read more I would give this place 1 star except for one reason. Pro: * Coach Ella is an AMAZING teacher. When we switched from Group to Private lessons, our son improved leaps and bounds every single week. She is fun and smart and helpful, and she should be the benchmark that ALL teachers strive for. Cons: * The Group lessons don't really teach much beyond water comfortability. Instead of helping each child improve individually, the teachers just go through the motions in a systematic pattern each class. * The school shows little to no interest in caring about a child advancing; the school only seems to care that our check clears. We spent 1.5 years at the same Group level without ever advancing because the teachers weren't encouraged to push our child. See the note above re: going Private with Coach Ella. * The front desk staff is horribly unhelpful and very poorly trained. We've experienced multiple issues with bookings, billing, and scheduling when interacting with them. There should also be a "no cell phone" policy because half the time we need to speak with someone, the front desk staff members are texting / using their cell phones. * The showers and changing rooms are dirty and gross by the time we need to use them at 5:45 pm. Maybe instead of allowing 2-3 front desk staff to play on their cell phones all shift, there should be a rotation of light cleaning every 30/60 minutes. A little bit of care would go a long ways.

I've been a member for about 3 months and it's been such an incredible experience so far. Sivan was super helpful and helped me sign up. Her and along with everyone else I've encountered with have been nothing but wonderful. I did my assessment and complimentary personal training session with Jenn. She has such an extensive knowledge about wellness especially when it comes to women's health. She gave me some pointers about rebuilding my pelvic floor strength and put together a plan for me. I've also attended a few mat pilates and spin classes, which were great. Last month, I had a facial in their spa which was relaxing and exactly what I needed after not having a facial for almost a year. On a few occasions, I've brought my son with me and had him stay in the Kids Club. Emme and the others are so sweet and welcoming. Overall my experience at Equinox Woodland Hills has been really wonderful - from the welcoming staff, clean facility, variety of classes, to the positive vibes. Now as a working mom, I don't have as much time to go as often but I'm hoping to keep up with my work out routine.

I have been training with the same coach for 10 years, but he lives outside the United States, so I train with him online. This has been my established training routine for many years. I was told that speaking on the phone while training is not allowed. I understand having rules, but the enforcement felt extremely inconsistent, as I regularly saw other members talking on the phone and recording videos while working out. I explained that I was not disturbing anyone, was not speaking loudly, and was willing to train in a corner. I spoke with the General Manager and explained that if I could not continue training with my coach, I would have to cancel my membership. Unfortunately, I was simply told that I could cancel. After being a member for over a year, I was extremely disappointed by the way this was handled. For a premium gym, I expected much better customer service and a more reasonable approach. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Equinox Woodland Hills. There are many newer gyms in the area with modern equipment, polite and welcoming staff, and much better customer service. In my opinion, Equinox Woodland Hills does not justify its premium price. Based on my experience, I do not recommend it.
