My complex has a pool but it has been closed for over 1 year due to COVID. Living in the SFV, I need two things in the summer: AC and a pool. So decided to take my 20month old here to check it out. They have a wading/shallow pool for the young children and a second regular pool. It has a water side and a water feature but they are closed currently. It cost $4 adult/$1 child. They have outdoor showers, changing rooms and bathrooms. No locker room. They have put up tents to help with some shade. I do agree they should have more trees and sails over the pool. There are lots of rules for the children's safety: no running (can slip and fall), no swimming in the deep end without passing a swim test, no cotton shirts in the pool. One lifeguard in particular was very friendly and even gave me tips for teaching my daughter to swim. Overall it is clean and nice. I prefer my complex pool but until then, I will be visiting.

Few things you should know before going... Very little shade $4 per adult $1 per child exact change. 1 adult per child including infant. Ie you have two kids and it's just you, you may not go in. No running No food As of June 2022 summer hours are at 3pm-7pm. Mon-Friday

Staff enforces mask wearing and wipes are available to wipe down your equipment. AND PEOPLE ACTUALLY DO IT!!? What?! Everyone re-racks the weights and plates properly, and there are plenty of squat racks and benches. They have a track to run on as well as a HIIT area on the upper floors. There is also an area to do abs and stretching. They offer private pilates, Zumba, and yoga classes. Not to mention that they have an incredible rock climbing wall. This place is luxurious and spacious, and I'm not mad about probably ~50% of my tuition going to its maintenance and upkeep. Only thing that bothers me about the SRC is that they have such limited hours around the holidays. For example, this past weekend following Thanksgiving, they were only open from 10-2 pm. They are also closed from Dec 25- Jan 1, which I guess is understandable. But then again they are closed the week before the spring semester starts. It makes me feel like if I wanted to work out during those times, I need to purchase a separate gym membership somewhere else (which I do not want to do). Also, keep in mind that if you want to rock climb, you have to come at certain times as well, when the rock climbing staff are there. They really need to bring back the guest passes! Especially if that guest was an alumnus. And if they are going to charge $180 a semester for alumni gym membership, maybe make it worth it by not randomly closing down a couple weeks before the semester starts.

Oof... I'm so bummed to be writing this!…read more Things started out so great and so fun! Signed up as a racquet member and got xlife. We were told they were going to have a pickleball league and that the pickleball was super active. We were told about a fun scramble style game they played on Tuesdays and that folks were super welcoming. We were told the pool was a place we could hang out with our kid over the summer. Great bait and switch. None of these things happened. It does look like they're starting up their pickleball league this year. We joined at the end of Nov. 2024, only to be met with a pretty significant dues increase in January 2025. No mention of This at our sign up. We went once a week for pickleball and dinner. The childcare during those things was amazing (Fridays only). The ladies there were so sweet. The food at the restaurant was pretty good. The only issue there was the increase in prices. It went up pretty significantly in the one year we were there. The live music on Friday was wonderful, especially when Justin was there. The pickleball was dead. The Tuesday thing was a joke. They were not welcoming and def didn't do the scramble thing that was advertised. I went to the gym 3-4 times a week. It's small and super outdated. For the monthly fee, I expected much better quality equipment. The treadmills were rough and the teen swim team was always taking over. The classes were good though, especially JDs. The pool is for their swim team. That's it. I know that's not true formally, but that's the truth in practice. The family centered events were great (all extra charges). All of this would get them about a 3 star rating. The one star comes from their predatory billing practices. While we were members, there were numerous errors. I diligently check my statement every month. I found errors more months than I did not. I would guess that this is happening to more members than us. If you are a current member, do not trust them. Please review your statement every month. I'm talking hundreds of dollars in errors. In September, we put in our notice to leave at the end of November. Took literally weeks and multiple emails to finally get a response. They offered us the Halloween event for free as a thank you and goodbye. Surprise surprise, they charged us for it. Took multiple emails to get it removed. They have since tried to charge us for a renewal fee, dues for December, and I just received an invoice for January. I truly don't know how it can be THIS bad. I'm guessing a lot of their clientele just don't notice.

It's usually fairly calm when we begin our workouts in this area, the fields are empty and quiet. It's peaceful and the solitude is tranquil. I assume when many matches, games, practices etc are taking place the vibe is different. My son loves this area while I don't typically gravitate towards it much anymore, unless I'm with him. I've grown quite comfy heading right out my front door for upwards of 20mile runs (with out and back routes) but I used to like lapping a place several times. I just don't see the point in driving a car to a place to do what I can do from home. I'd almost rather run here from my neighborhood do a lap or two and run home but I don't typically run West of home. My son and I spend time together here, whether it be running or taking 7-15mile walks (he rucks carrying anywhere from 35-55lbs and I'll typically carry about 20 ounces of water ;) when I go along on these with him. It's a nice area and it gets the job done. I enjoy our time here, its a sensory and pavement change from some of my other routes and we cover a decent amount of ground in one lap (a little over 7miles). If you are looking for a place to get out and long run or walk for hours in a certain area with very few traffic lights I recommend it. It's also a lovely area to just toss out a blanket to meditate, enjoy a meal, stretch or read a book. While there's a ton of greenery and trees there are spots of heavy exposure, so always wear a hat or sunscreen and bring water if you require it. Bathrooms are scarce. Parking is plentiful.

Took them as they rested in front of my feet! Cycling class is solid at this location. They have a separate building for cycling, attached only to the child care room. The front staff is always welcoming and greets you upon entrance. And this location has less teens doing random stuff in the weight room. Altogether a solid gym. The price seems high for an old school facility, but I travel a lot and you can use the membership all over the US! Therefore, my money is well spent here.
