This is the best Christian-based treatment center that we have dealt with. After relapsing…read moreconsistently from a string of lousy treatment centers, our daughter is finally receiving the care she needs for her mental health condition, which drives her addiction. I can name ( but won't out of courtesy) at least 8-9 treatment centers in nearby cities over the past years that not only took our money and insurance money willingly but failed miserably to identify and treat her mental illness condition, which drives her addiction. As a parent with years of experience in the war for my daughter's life, the faith-based approach and expertise exhibited by JC's Recovery Center is the only one who is making a difference. I have been to the center and met all the staff therapists and the owner, and all have been working with our daughter personally. I can tell you ( not assume) that they are the ones who have gotten serious with their faith-based approach and focus on mental illness and addiction treatment that has been able to save her life. Finally, this is an answer to our prayers, and we have identified what we believe is the key to helping our daughter fight back by building her self-esteem, faith, and firm support. None of this existed in the bad treatment centers previously other than one located in central Florida and one in Parkland near Wray and they were very familiar with the work of JCs and its success stories, so it was logical when we obtained objective information from several credible sources that this was the next step. Before that, there were ones skilled in taking, money, failing the client's needs, stressing out the family, and even dealing drugs while painting a picture of success when it was only failure. Anyone has a right to their opinion, but examine the facts, not the fiction. The decision is yours as a parent, but we have had enough of some of the treatment centers I won't bother to name in nearby cities that should be shut down. Last week's visit to JCs to see her was the evidence we needed to know our daughter is finally in a safe place.

I can't say enough great things about Florida Hand Therapy and Rehab in Dania Beach. Diana is…read moreabsolutely the best -- incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and truly invested in her patients' recovery. Honestly, there were times I felt she had better insight into my hand injuries than some of the doctors I saw. She takes the time to explain everything and makes sure you understand the treatment plan. The entire staff is wonderful -- professional, welcoming, and organized. What really sets this place apart is that it's not a factory pushing patients in and out. You get real one-on-one care, personalized attention, and a treatment plan tailored specifically to you. I've come here for multiple hand injuries and have had great results every time. I made the mistake of going to a different rehab clinic for a shoulder injury once, and I definitely regretted that decision. The level of care just wasn't the same. Hopefully I won't need therapy again anytime soon -- but if I do, I'm sticking with Diana at Florida Hand Therapy and Rehab. Highly recommend.

My surgeon recommended this office to me as the best choice for a tough situation - once for a locked elbow following nerve surgery, and once for rehabilitation after a dog attack and subsequent surgery on my hand. The team at Florida Hand Therapy saved my dominant arm twice. Without their care, I don't know that I could have recovered. They really push for the best results possible, and are so kind and careful with each patient. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Worse place ever. Coming from someone in the health care field as a nurse practitioner the fact…read morethat I had to AMA my dad because he was starving. Not only him but other patient are asking if they can get food it's a disgrace to have this place open and even allow half or all of these people to hold a nursing license. The "charge nurse" bukenenye Barbara ukeneye spoke to me as if she didn't have any manners or work ethic. She made a choice of instead providing me with the proper AMA documentation to waste 23 minutes of her screaming at me in front of my husband my toddler my teenager son and my father. Today is thanksgiving but I will be reporting that nurse to the board. I will be putting a full compliant to CMS and ACHA. I not just recorded the place with roaches and how they have some resident on the floor and how patient in room 12 is asking for food I also recorded the "nurse" and have it fully available to show. instead of diffusing the situation she continued to antagonize me because my father was crying that they were starving him. When I asked this nurse for her license number she stated she didn't have to give me that information. We gave my dad $50 the first day he was in there and somehow it got lost. Somehow this same nurse gives me only "$20" that they had from my dad. We provide clothes and when they took the clothes to wash the ones they brought back didn't belong to my dad. This place shouldn't be open and from the argument I had with the charge nurse they shouldn't even work with patients. I will be taking this complaint all the way to the top because it's a disgrace that this place is so crappy and patient insurance are paying for them to get starve treated bad and be little. Not to mention when dealing with a patient that does not speak the language that the facilities speak there should be a correct Interpreter it be over the phone computer or in person. They do not provide this my dad is a Spanish speaking patient who didn't understand and none of the nurses spoke Spanish or offered a interpreter and one of the nurses excuse was "there is a language barrier" well obviously there is as a responsibility for the facility to offer what the patient needed to understand his own care. This place is trash the looks the staff how they treat those in there the food it's literally elderly abuse. I can't believe this place is running and under triple A or CMS

Unethical, Unprofessional, and Unacceptable Experience…read more Our family had an extremely distressing experience with Broward Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. My grandmother, who has Alzheimer's, was admitted for long-term memory care. Within 48 hours, the facility abruptly and unprofessionally discharged her without proper assessment, communication, or discharge planning. The community liaison (Richard) contacted my mother--her legal guardian--in a frantic and disrespectful manner, demanding that she "come remove her mother from the building" and blaming her presence for "messing up his reputation." Shortly after, my grandmother was sent to the hospital without notifying the family in advance, and we were later told she had been discharged from the facility entirely. This is not just poor customer service--it borders on patient abandonment and reflects a complete lack of compassion, ethics, and professionalism. No 30-day notice was given, no medical records were reviewed before admission, and verbal agreements made by the facility's leadership were not honored. We've since filed a formal complaint with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), CMS, and the Long-Term Care Ombudsman. If you're considering this facility for a loved one--especially one with memory care needs--I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. -- Yvette F.
