Millionaire sports club, besides caving to a dozen or so native Americans over their iconic franchise name years ago, decides to inconvenience people who were attending the 4:10 pm game by moving it to 7:10 pm due to wildfire smoke. First, it's understandable to postpone the 17th's game due to smoke. An inconvenience, sure, but then they decide to inconvenience everyone wanting to attend the next days game by moving it to 7:10pm. Brilliant, let's mess with everyone attending that game as well. Of course, they don't want to miss a penny. What if people cannot attend the later game now? Are their tix and parking pass available for exchange? Yes, but only for the 17th's rescheduled game at 1:10. Hmmm, that seems okay, BUT the parking pass is no good if exchanged? Cannot get a new parking pass? Only a credit, and probably will have to park further out and pay more. Due to newly rescheduled 1:10 pm game filling the parking lot! Exchange tixs, sure, but no where near original seats, and could cost more?!? This was to be our second game since the ball club became woke and changed their name. This will now be our last. After waiting on hold and being cutoff twice, the third time was the charm and the nice lady informed us of the policy above. Funny how our AARP status did not matter, just walk an extra half mile, drive home at night with your bad eyes. No, you cannot exchange for the Sunday1:10pm game! Ever wonder why people choose day time games and buy parking passes close to the venue? Morons! If we were Native American we might have been upgraded to the terrace and have VIP parking. Cleveland Guardians Okay so I grew up watching baseball starting in the 1950's. I have been out of touch with most teams in the past two or three years except the New York teams and the Florida Marlins. So here's the playoffs and I'm wondering where this new team came from called the Guardians. After the first playoff game I realized it was the Cleveland Indians. I'm sorry but couldn't they have been a little more creative with a new name. I don't think the Seminoles have changed their name. Regardless Cleveland is having a good year. Maybe they'll win another World Series, but not this year! (I hope) How can I not like them. They won the World Series the year I was born! I finally attended a Cleveland Guardians game on Sunday afternoon, September 1st 2024 with my friend Christina (I got 2 free tickets). I visited again in on September 19th when another Cleveland friend of mine invited me to watch a game with her and her friend who was visiting from Europe. For both games, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the game. I had previously been to the Progressive Field stadium years prior but I was helping out a vendor instead of watching the game (I didn't have a ticket) so it was nice to return as a spectator/fan. I ordered chicken nachos from Barrio, without cheese, during my first game experience on September 1st. It was too much food for one person and I didn't realise that until after I got it so I recommend you split the cost with someone else especially because it is over $10. Even if you don't follow baseball like myself, if you enjoy watching professional sports, then I recommend that you come to a Guardians game. Nice deal. However, beware that the hot dog buns are hard from sitting out and people are touching with bare hands (sanitary?) the burgers are dry, the menu items such as pasta, etc are cold, pretzel bites were hard, corn dogs - cold. The best food items were the fried chicken, mac/cheese, cornbread and nachos. The strawberry ice cream bar had a fake taste. The peanuts were grab as you like (sanitary?) Nice seats, however. My family and I were in town last week for a baseball tournament, and since the Guardians were away in Chicago, we thought we'd check out the stadium! We wandered around a bit, even popped into a really nice looking office to ask about tours. The folks there suggested we head over to the team store. Unfortunately, the person working at the team store (an older lady, but a little less than enthusiastic) let us know that tours were all booked up because we arrived after 1:30 pm. Bummer! It was a bit disappointing, as the stadium looked amazing from the outside I can only imagine how cool it is inside. Maybe next time! We'll definitely try to plan a visit when we can book a tour in advance. I was going to give one star for how the lady treated us and looked down on us but the stadium was very beautiful and deserved the five stars. read more

Nope, no more box office, online only per the rude assistants roping off the entrances to the park. Not helpful or pleasant employees. Had a simply delightful time at a game this season... I was stopping in Cleveland for a break on a road trip and needed something to do. Why not see a baseball game? The stadium is nice. Plenty of good seats and a cool local vibe. The entrance I used had a patio area for food and drink with a view of the outfield. Sort of a party area for folks who wanted to hang out together. One noticeable feature was the reasonable amount of advertising. It didn't distract from enjoying the game, compared to a stadium like Target Field where the advertising screams at you for the entire game. They even had Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy as the seasonal beer choice. The bonus was the dramatic walk-off 10th inning victory... Overall, a fun experience with a great game and friendly fans, in a pleasant stadium. Would definitely go again! It was one of the best games I've ever attended. read more

Pre-game polka, beautiful night game, three free t shirts, 2$ beer, $1 hot dogs, a mascot with an evil twin (We Support Twin Mustard), and the most epically-long musically-themes fireworks show I have ever seen (20 minutes!). And that's not all - this is a real ballpark where you can get right down to the field and see the players, catch errant practice balls, and get soooooo disappointed when Andrew Chafin of the Rangers and his amazing stache-n-mullet come over to provide signed balls ... to the guy just right beside us. My friend is a season ticket holder for the Cleveland Guardians, so we decided to visit when our team (the Reds) were going to be in town. Ticket prices were very reasonable, but the concession stand were way overpriced. This was also the first time we had been there since they rebranded and it was cool to see all the new logos everywhere. It is so convenient that the stadium is right down town and I like that they have a hall of fame section to explore before the game. I visited Progressive Field to watch the Cleveland Indians play the Yankees as part of a stadium-seeing road trip. I was actually incredibly surprised by how much I enjoyed my experience there (even if Corey Kluber pitched for the Indians that night and destroyed the Yankees during the game... sad face). Besides watching the Yankees make ridiculous errors in the first inning, flail against Kluber's pitching, and end up losing the game? (sigh) There wasn't a bad view in the place. Perhaps one of the things I most enjoyed was the variety of concessions with locally-focused menus (or beer vendors with plenty of local/craft options - even if one of the first locations I went to was staffed with folks who didn't know all that much about what local craft beers they were serving). There were generally a number of really great concessions though - food and drink options for everyone (one of my favorites being Barrio, "tacos + tequila + whiskey"... I mean, c'mon!). I actually walked around the park a number of times - alone and then with friends - in order to take in the entire experience. Heritage Park space is a nice little gem, and then there are classics like the Jim Thome statue, etc. Ticket prices are pretty affordable, though I ultimately decided to take in the game from a seat in the Club level. Amenities in the Club level were delightful, with food and drink options included in the price... though I actually got most of my food from the main concourse level. That said, the Club Level even has random barrels of peanuts for every seating section... just fill up a little serving bag to go. :) TL;DR Surprisingly awesome. Would definitely go back. read more

Bad experience on so many levels. Spent over $400 for tickets. Went to get a hot dog and was told to leave the area (meaning I was in front of a trash can throwing away my packets of ketchup) because you weren't able to stand there. Absolutely shocked as a life long fan (and ticket season holder in the past), that we treat people that way. I did report it to a supervisor but it was a total turn off for me. Bought tickets for a Cleveland Guardians game on Friday July 1st and it got postponed due to rain. The game was rescheduled for Saturday July 2nd. Unfortunately for me, I am a firefighter and I had to work my shift day at the fire station on Saturday. I called Stub Hub on Friday after the game was postponed and they told me to try and sell the tickets on their web site. I asked them what will happen if they didn't sell and they told me to call them back and they will see if there is anything else they can do. Decent stadium defiantly was worth the trip we stayed within walking distance and spent some time walking around the area. There was a entrance that let us in 2 hrs before the game and we were able to watch some bp, the only downfall was they only had the right field open during that time so no home run balls and did not open the rest of the stadium up until an hour before. Lousy game day experience. Took some young kids to the park promising them A CHANCE for autographs. Bought em baseballs, a sharpie, and a display for their soon-to-be autographed ball (from the Indians team shop), entered the stadium immediately when the gates opened at 5:30pm, and was driven away by security near the Indians dugout at around 6pm. THAT is what your game day experience for kids is, Cleveland? ZERO player interaction with the young ones? Don't sell Sharpies in your team store if you're not going to make your players available for autographs. I''ve watched a game in 35 MLB stadiums. 29 of the current 30 ballparks (only missing the new Twins Stadium) and 6 that no longer exist (Old Yankee Stadium, Shea Stadium, Old Busch Stadium, The Kingdome, and two parks that still exist but aren't used by the MLB teams any longer: Jack Murphy Stadium and RFK Stadium). I can't recall ever seeing ZERO interaction between the players and the fans (kids) prior to a game. Bad stuff. Now, let's talk about the food . . . I ordered a Wahoo Burger which was labeled as a double cheeseburger on the menu board. I couldn't understand why it was only $5. Seemed awfully inexpensive for a double cheeseburger at a major league ballpark. Then I got my 'burger.' What a joke! The patty was the size of a silver-dollar. No joke! It looked worse than the burger on the old, "Where's the Beef?!" commercials. I brought it over to a hi-top table in the dining area, laid it on the table without saying a word, and my girlfriend (upon seeing how small my burger is) says, "Oh my God! What is THAT?!" We were both laughing at how ridiculous it looked and she asked if I was going to take it back and I just explained it was only $5 for a reason and headed over to the condiments. The condiment station in itself was a joke. There was no mayo or ketchup in any of the dispensers. I went and found another condiment station and -- same thing. I had to search for another before I could get some condiments for my burger. People were just shaking their head in disbelief, pissed, or laughing that all of the condiment dispensers could be empty. Returning to my hi-top table to join my girlfriend in our joke of a 'meal,' here comes the stadium worker in charge of the garbage. In a giant dark gray trash bin he comes rolling up, parks his trash bin RIGHT NEXT TO US, and walks over to some of the nearby trash cans to grab a giant Hefty bag of trash, throw it into the giant bin RIGHT NEXT TO US, and head off to bring back more garbage . . . All the while leaving the giant bin of at least a half-dozen giant bags filled with garbage RIGHT NEXT TO US as we ate. AWESOME!!!!! Then, of course, the Indians lost to the woeful Blue Jays so . . . that was funny. Thanks for that. Oh, and when 99% of your fan base loves the iconic Chief Wahoo logo, don't remove him entirely from your stadium to cater to a few angry liberals. Cater to your fans. In fact, let's make that an internal message in your team office: Cater To Your Fans. If you want to see how things are done right, go take in a Columbus Blue Jackets game at their arena. I'm not even a Blue Jackets fan (I'm a Penguins fan). I hardly knew the Blue Jackets existed. The Cleveland Indians are my favorite team in professional sports. Perhaps not by choice, but here I am today, a die-hard fan. You may ask yourself how a California girl like me could love this Midwest baseball team so dearly. I don't feel the need to tell you my family connections with the Mistake-by-the-Lake, but let's put it this way: a) My birth announcement had Chief Wahoo on it. b) One of my earliest memories is my father telling me that he would name my (now younger sister), Julio (after Julio Franco, who played for Cleveland '83-'88). c) I went to the last three games at Cleveland Stadium. My dad had one of those "movie moment" speeches with me, asking me to remember this stadium: Cleveland stadium had wooden seats that you could rock up and down to make noise when the game got exciting. "Jacob's Field won't have these seats" he said, his expression crestfallen with nostalgia. d) Every kid dreams of this: in 1993, I ended up with a foul ball hit by Albert Belle. Not only did I get the ball, I got him to sign within the same season. e) My most embarrassing moment involved the Indians. We somehow fanangled ourselves into a 1995 luncheon that the Indians were at. My dad gave me a glossy photo of a player we both thought was Wayne Kirby. Wayne Kirby politely informed me that the photo was not of him and that he would not sign in. Thanks dad. f) During a '95 batting practice at the Oakland Colliseum I asked Charles Nagy if he still drove a black Jeep (that I innocently saw him driving during an autograph session in Cleveland). He looked at me like I was a pre-teen stalker. The crazy kind. Other notes: I love Omar Vizquel not only because he's a Giant (My 2nd favorite MLB team) and the best short-stop to play the game, but because he was a former Indian. I also love that fact that he wrote about Jose Mesa losing the World Series for the Indians, and that Mesa will still try and hit Omar at the plate for it. Cleveland will always applaud Omar. They're loyal like that. I remember Manny Ramirez before he was a Masshole. When the Indians lost the playoffs last week, I silently walked into my bathroom, sat down on the tile floor and balled my eyes out. This, I believe, is love. read more

Great Stadium, food was even cheap, which is rare for a ballgame.

We attended the Cincy game...(Red's fan)...everyone was nice, and I even met some fellow Huskers there, which really doesn't surprise me...haha... Good seats and I got a bunch of freebees...an Indian's hat, towel, and Indian's duct tape. Have fun. read more
