Lots of kids on the playgrounds, people walking on the paths, and dogs in the dog park. I enjoy seeing parks full of people enjoying the outdoors. Pros: -Large dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs -Dog park is free for anyone to use (no pass required) -Clean park -Ample parking in lots or along the road -Beautiful, respectful veterans' memorial -Labelled areas and trails -Ample areas to sit -Multiple playgrounds and shelters Cons: -Dog park is open to anyone so the dogs may not be fixed, vaccinated, or well-trained -Most of the driving paths are not paved. This kicks up a lot of dust -Lots of bird poop on signs and benches. It's an outdoor park so this is understandable. Bring a towel if you plan to use the benches

Lots of parking and plenty of space for recreation. There are horseshoe pits, a basketball court, tennis court and a large well cared-for lighted baseball field. They do have a permanent structure with bathrooms. The fenced-in sand-based playground was in good shape, too. Several benches in the shade for parents to sit and watch. It looks like they have updated some of the equipment, which is nice. The location is kind of hidden, its in a residential area, tucked away. They have a basketball court, baseball fields and play equipment including swings. The landscaping is not a neat as the other nearby parks, so its hard to give more than 3 stars. The city does host a 4th of July festival here every year as it has lots of space. Overall, its a cute little park that never gets very busy.

We played on the side next to the tennis courts and it did have some updates. 1 of the slides was repaired, which was nice to see. They have a sizable restroom and lots of picnic tables under a pavilion. There are baseball fields and a paved walking path all the way around the park. They just installed a new fitness center for adults in the farthest field from the SRAC. My personal favorite is the playground with the pirate ship and rubber mats under all the equipment. My only complaint for today was that they had fresh mulch delivered, it looked like it was sitting, waiting to be spread and it was on top of one of the slides so the equipment couldn't be used. Other than that, it's a great park!

I highly don't recommend coming when they are cutting the grass. The people that cut the grass don't care if they hit ur car. I had a guy blowing the grass off the cement with the leaf blower and he would blow the air on my car mind you I was inside my car and he could see me. I had several tiny rock hit my car as he was blowing air into my car. I would think its common since if your using the weed eater or an leaf blower you have the use it so when u cut the grass nothing would fly onto the cars or the people but they don't care about that so there is grass, rocks and stick thrown up in the air which can hit a car or a person!

A decent amount of parking behind the outfield fence (yeah, hope they're not big hitters) and even a dirt jump area. The trail runs around eight miles long and apparently has areas for beginners and advanced riders. Dogs are permitted on the trail. It is maintained by the city's Parks Department and with volunteers from the local TriangleMTB biking club. The park is open from 8a to 11p, subject to daylight. The riding is free. There is a train ride through the park with all sorts of lights and Christmas displays. There are numerous free activities and crafts for kids of all ages. There is even a gorgeous carousel ride that seats many. It doesn't hurt that it is inside so you can warm up from the chilly outside. There is even remote parking with comfy buses that will take you to and from the parking lot and the park. It is a great experience and our grandkids ( and grandparents) have such a great time.
