The team at the Nest are true professionals and we knew that we were in good hands from the start…read more KO and ViviAnne played dual roles as both experts who facilitated the birth and also as caring mentors coaching Mom through her process. One of the things we appreciated most was how they kept Mom in the driver's seat. They guided her, coached her, gave medical care, and created a safe environment. But, they kept her in charge. When we needed to be transferred to the hospital after the birth, the midwives managed our interactions with the medical system, advocated for us, and helped us understand what was going on. This allowed us to focus on baby and not on interacting with the system. During the weeks after the birth, the team from the Nest visited us in our home several times to provide not only postnatal care, but also guidance and mentorship. This helped immensely during the first few weeks. (Also, our Anthem insurance covered us perfectly and the birth center turned out to be quite inexpensive relative to the hospital.) We are 100% satisfied with our experience at the Nest. They are both patient caregivers and guides who treat Mom as the protagonist of her birth. We hope to come back!

So I really appreciate their willingness to rectify the situation and adjust billing appropriately. I'll retract my statement that they do this for monetary gain, as she did express true compassion and regret over the experience I had with them. I would recommend them in the billing and finances department, however I still wouldn't recommend them to any working mothers. We did discuss the other issues that I mentioned in my review, and it seems like their practice is likely just not well oriented for working mothers. (For moms that don't have blue collar/hard labor jobs, this is probably a fine option.)

Terrible experience at the Idaho pain clinic. They require two appointments in order to find out if…read morethey are going to continue you on pain medicine or not. I went to the clinic on the advice of a nurse practitioner who had cut me off pain medicines after prescribing them to me for fibromyalgia and orthopedic pain for many many years. She claimed that this clinic had continued many of her patients on pain medicines after she stopped prescribing them. This proved to be absolutely false. I did not expect only see a physician assistant, a young woman who likely has never experienced chronic daily excruciating pain in her life and thank God for that. They need to have practitioners who are empathetic to the kinds of pain that people who attend their clinic are in. I should not have been required to go in for that second visit requiring me to travel an hour and a half plus my sister had to travel 3 1/2 hours and an hour and a half to get me to this appointment as I have been disabled by being cut off of the pain meds. They could've told me over the phone that they were not going to prescribe them based on information they received from the nurse practitioner who cut me off from the meds in the first place, because she was fearful to continue providing opioids, and she's now promoting herself as an addiction specialist! This group like many others around the country are cropping up due to the fake "prescription" opioid crisis, that is causing pain patients to lose access to pain meds all together. So these clinics are now dangling the possibility of prescribing pain meds to pain patients to get them into the clinic, where they only provide experimental interventional, sometimes dangerous procedures. These clinics are a sham, and should be shut down in my opinion.

Today, after enduring four months of foot pain, I finally called and requested an appointment, and I was thrilled that I could be seen today. The young woman at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful, and none of the health care providers were condescending or impatient. They carefully explained my options and patiently listed to my questions. I noticed a negative review about staff from nine years ago, and all if can say is that the staff he complained about must have all left; the staff I've met with couldn't possibly be better or more professional.
