What clinched it for me was how they treated me the time I realized I scheduled my appointment a week after I was going to run out of medication. I called to amend this and they transferred me to the billing department (wtf). I was told (after I left several messages) that their clinic's policy was to not prescribe meds to carry me to my next appointment and basically that I should go f myself. They said this to a psychiatric patient who was doing fairly well and whose meds have no street value. I had a very bad week off my meds. The withdrawal effects included auditory hallucinations, suicidal ideation, and extreme paranoia. When I got to my appointment, my doc claimed there was a misunderstanding and that HIS patients could get emergency interim meds. But why would I want to go to any clinic that denied any of their patients necessary medications - as general policy? My doctor didn't even make eye contact with me at our first appointment. He became annoyed when I asked questions about my treatment. For example, I noticed on a form that he'd put down a different diagnosis than I'd had previously. So I inquired, in case he'd made a mistake. He rolled his eyes and said it wasn't a mistake, and when I asked further questions about the condition he'd diagnosed me with, he responded with hostility. He did not appreciate patients who wished to take an active role in their care. He also refused to believe my claims of side effects with a new med, because "that doesn't happen with this med." He said that over and over like it was going to magically stop my symptoms. I looked up my symptoms online and found that yes, they do happen with that med. Finally, the front desk treats people like crap. I can't even tell you how many times I was put on hold for over 10 minutes, then hung up on. They play traumatic stuff on the TV in the waiting room and blare it so loud you can't ignore the tales of abuse/violence. In a waiting room in a mental health clinic. I started bringing earplugs so I could wait on my appointment for 45 minutes without being triggered. ETA: Yeah, people go there for suboxone. If you're offended that a mental health clinic has a waiting room full of mentally ill people, I suggest you find a doctor who can extract the stick from your ass and the ice from your heart. Oh, and if you are on psychiatric medications you are "on drugs," get off your high horse (no pun intended). read more

i have never had a worst experience somewhere. if the doctor had not already prescribed me something, i would not be back. the front desk staff is never on top of what they should be doing. i came in for my first visit and they had no idea who i was, who i was meeting with, or where the paperwork was that i needed to fill out. Came to my second appointment and stood at the front desk for 7+ minutes past my appointment waiting for someone to come to the front desk and take me back to the doctor. unbelievable. terrible customer service. read more

I hated this place the moment I stepped into the door on N. Dixie Dr. They charged me 76.00 when my co-pay is only 45.00. They also charged an extra 1;00 because I used a credit card which is illegal.Also they knew my insurance was out-of-network but went ahead and made me an appt. to see the shrink weeks later. I needed an appointment quick as I was having withdrawal symptons that really messed with my mind and I told her but she said there was nothing she could do. I had to wait 20 minutes in the waiting room while the receptionist went outside to have a smoke break. Iknow this for a fact because the therapist told me so. Good luck to you all that decides to have treatment with this company. I went back to my old therapist and doctor who take great care of me. read more

Only because I have to give a star they get one. This place is a joke! Why Kettering would even refer my 13 year old daughter to this place is beyond me! I have had nothing but problems from day 1! The psychiatrist just wants to push and increase medication without knowing or asking if current meds are working. Appts with therapists are supposed to be 1 hour. We have waited an hour for a 5 minute appt. After my complaint about that she gets 20 minute appointments. These people do not care about the well being of their patients. I've tried for almost 2 months to get her records transferred to another dr and after several phone calls it still had not happened. Will now physically (after paying for the records) be transporting them myself since they are obviously incapable of doing their jobs! Unless you are comfortable sitting in a waiting room with current drug addicts waiting for their suboxone I recommend not going there. My daughter is not nor has she ever been on drugs! read more

Are PATIENTS HEALTH Valued at Clearing Paths 2017?? NO! I have been a patient with them for over 5 years. I'm writing in hopes of the owners or policy makers reading it consider professional ethics as your business continues to expand. The working staff/assistants are very pleasant and willing to assist in any way. On the other hand, the policy makers lack common curtesy and business ethics! Moving into their newest south office location came with many on-going policy changes. Although change and restructuring are important, the changes have and are occurring without ANY client notifications of the effective dates for the many changes taking place. Being a veteran patients at Clearing Paths, the reminder calls came like clockwork every month and keeping track of the reminder card was pointless. This month, I was labeled irresponsible for not making my appointment while waiting on a reminder call that never came! Assuming my appointment was the same day I called to check the arrival time. I was told (by the ONLY competent receptionist ever employed by the facility) no reminder calls are being made now and I cannot be seen until 2 weeks later! Totally in shock again, I again questioned the importance of client notification of changes and why it's imperative that updated communication delivery options be established! With technology today sending important information has never been easier. Updating policies should also intel client emails, your new system set up to communicate information changes to Everyone and a patient signature giving permission...click...sent! Because the above is All my fault, I'm left without a refill resulting in crisis and fighting the effects withdrawals.
