This daycare is great, the teachers are very nice and try to make each kid feel special. They know everyone's names and all the parents' names. Every evening after picking my daughter up, I receive a few photos of her with the day's activities and a full report, which is so nice to get and is very helpful. The curriculum is awesome, my 1 year old is active throughout the day, and they are so creative with activities: from art to music to crafts even at this young age. They also go for a walk or play in their outside yard most days if the weather permits. The food at the daycare is pretty good, but is somewhat grains heavy, includes a lot of bread, pasta, rice etc. Of course, kids like it. I try to balance it out at home by giving more meat and veggies.

She witnessed my son standing alone crying. She then witnessed my son being dragged by his arm to a mat and having a blanket thrown over his whole body. My wife could not even see his hair. The worker admitted to the incident. Instead of firing the negligent worker Kids and Co decided to move the worker to a different location. We were offered one month free which we obviously declined because we don't feel like having our child in a negligent environment. I feel daycare workers should take care of your child like they were their own and I would never treat my child like that. My wife is a pediatric nurse and and she knows that if she treated her patients like that she could be fired or sued.

Ultimately, Kidsco did nothing about it, other than tell us they would try to separate the children within the same classroom. We watched on the camera, and on multiple occasions, witnessed our child in physical contact with the child that injured her. We don't blame the caregivers in the room, as Kidsco was not willing to dedicate any additional human resource to the effort. They state they are following policy, which I guess CYA is what we should have expected out of a large corporation. What we had hoped from our childcare providers we have entrusted the safety and well-being of our children with was basic human decency and compassion, but I suppose that is too much to ask for. Communication from them is also poor, border lining on rude and inconsiderate - they don't return phone calls, and when they do, leave messages on our phone at 11:45pm.

To be fair, I am not an alumni as I was only there…read moreuntil Grade 11, at which point I decided to not risk having to return for a fourth year of self-study, which had been going unsteadily at best. Some months I would slay credits like a Viking, others I would spend in a daze of hanging out in the Science area, taking endless trips to Yellow Sub to play Pac-Man, and throwing apples at Chris B's car. Okay, that only happened once. I do not have contact with any of my former classmates from here, so I find that my experiences and memories of this place are very insular, and will probably recede into the shadows my mind as years pass: with no communal chatter, I will likely be unsure if something I can "remember" from grade 10 happened to me, or if I saw it in a movie somewhere. It's kind of a sad prospect, but then it's only high school. Big whoop! If any Carroll students read this, I encourage them to try this social experiment: check in at 8:30, drive up to West Edmonton Mall, ride the Galaxyland roller coaster, then drive back in time for check out at the end of the day. I guarantee it will prove to be one of the most educational days of your lives!
