I am sooooo glad that I left it to the pros! It ended up being 100% worth it. I received so many positive comments about my makeup and hair. My eyelashes were secure the entire night. I was really impressed that the coverage also lasted throughout the night, and that I had minimal shine despite getting super sweaty from dancing at the reception :) I did decide to do a hair/makeup trial. I initially thought about skipping to save time and money, but I'm really glad I did it. During the trial, Alyssa and I were able to discuss my look preferences and experiment with different colors and styles. The day of the wedding, there was no time for any experimentation. At some point, I decided to add on hair and makeup for my bridal party/MOB/MOG and am also really glad I did. It ended up being an indulgent treat for them. They also LOVED the full size lip color they received as a gift! (I'd thought no one would care about this; I was wrong) Alyssa is serious, professional, and an artist at her craft. Katie was my hair magician, and was able to give me the perfect hairstyle to complement my dress! During the trial, we experimented with a few styles and she gave me a great tip to consider adding in a hairpiece. The hairpiece I founded was a game-changer in terms of creating pop and additional dimension to the overall look. To Alyssa, Katie and Melissa, thank you! I am so thankful we worked with such a talented and professional crew!

Linda Holman is an unprofessional and undeniably rude person that has somehow been in this business…read morefor 25 years. I told her that I was doing a special dance with my fiance on our wedding day and that I would need her to make sure that my hair stayed extra secure while I was spinning around during our very intricate dance. She told me that unless I was head banging then it would be fine......?? I didn't know what to think of her after that comment. I walked out of the salon after generously tipping her $20 and before I even made it to my car, the bobby pins were falling out!!! I contacted her a week later to let her know that I was going to have my best friend do my hair now as thankfully she became available and wouldn't charge me. She actually threatened me that she was going to the police to press charges on me for not paying for the trial! I couldn't believe it. She was that bitter that I didnt choose her as my hairdresser for my wedding. This woman Linda Holman thought it would be perfect to again threaten me on the day of MY WEDDING over this hair trial that I was completely unsatisfied with. I already told her I would pay her for the horrible job that she did and the check was in the mail a week before this. She should be fired and never make another dollar in this business. My friends and family were so disgusted that someone would do this to a bride on their wedding day. I was so scared that I called my lawyer just in case she continued to harass me about the $65 dollars. I STILL THINK SHE ISNT THROUGH YET. I'm in shock at how insane this woman could act towards a bride that is paying an arm and a leg for her services. I plan to expose Linda Holman on every review that I can possibly put out there so I can save other brides from a similar fate. NEVER EVER go to Salon Belle Vie becuase they will treat you like a peice of crap from the moment you walk in the door and you will end up with a stalker or worse! Stay away!

Blush is on a quiet block on Elm Street. The entryway is quaint and pleasing. When you walk in everything looks pretty and feminine. It was very typical of what you would expect an upscale salon to be on a smaller scale. My daughter had given me a gift card so I could have a pedicure. I went at the tail end of June to get an appointment before going on vacation on July 13. I thought I had enough time. When trying to make an appointment I was told that each tech/hairdresser oversees making their own appointment...? Ok, that wasn't my experience with Anjoli from Amherst, but hey who am I to tell them how to run their business? One nail tech was consulted, and she said she was booked until the 16th of July, but the girl at the desk took my number saying that the other tech would be given it so she could call me and make an appointment. I said thank you and I left. I waited, one week, two weeks, I went on vacation, when I returned, I called and left a message. No response. Four weeks later and still, I wasn't called. I private messaged them on Facebook and got a quick response with effusive apologies, "it's not a normal practice, we adore our clients, sorry that this slipped through the cracks". I gave my number again and waited a few more days and still no callback. I finally went into Blush again, stated my complaint and requested a refund. Which was denied, because that is not their practice, however, my number was taken again so that the owner could call me. Five minutes after leaving Blush, I received a call. It was from a nail tech. She had an opening that Friday and was able to finally accommodate me. As pedicures go, Ty did a very nice job. It was a relaxing experience. I enjoyed being in a pleasant room having my feet and legs massaged. I cannot find fault in the treatment. As a business, however, I think they need to come up with a better system in order to ensure that potential customers do not "fall through the cracks". Will I return to Blush? Probably not, as a potential new customer, I didn't feel valued, plus I have better things to do with my time than to wait 5 weeks for someone to call me to make an appointment.
