    If giving someone your money and having them talk down to you is your idea of a good time, then…read morethis is the lady for you. I cannot believe how she talks to me. I ask her a question (Which I'm paying her for) and she talks to me like a red-headed stepchild. Tells me to look things up myself and insists that she sends me things and to read it on my own. Thing is, she doesn't actually send the things she thinks she did. I go back through all my e-mails and there is NOTHING that she claims to have done. This happened numerous times. I'm livid on how she treats me and am sorry I ever used her in the first place. Even if she did do the things she claimed to do, there is no need for her to talk down to me. Maybe she's going through some stuff in her personal life right now, but there is no need for her condescending attitude. Also, all the time she spends talking smack, she could just cut and paste the info I'm asking for in way less time, but I guess that wouldn't make her feel so superior.

Layrlynn kept us apprised each step of the way as to what she was doing. Her communication was outstanding. She frequently checked in with us as to the progress she was making as well as the values that she was finding. We feel that Lauralynn and Art Mode are top quality and highly recommend the company to anyone seeking appraisals. Lauralynn is reliable and honest. We found communication with her to be easy. Lauralynn is friendly and professional. Her reports were detailed and thorough. The reports are easy to read and are perfect to share with an insurance company. Without hesitation, we will definitely hire Lauralynn in the future.

We were overcharged for the appraisal by $550, so it costed us $895 for a local appraiser to appraise what was supposed to be our first home, plus she didn't use the right comps and based the comps off of manufactured homes and not single family residence. The listing agent sent in a rebuttal on the final appraisal, and Susan the appraiser said that she used the right comps and would not change the value amount. Now my family and I are out of the home due to this wrongful determination. I have worked in real estate for over 20 years and have never seen such a bad appraiser.

We did a complete remodel of our home from bathroom to kitchen and appliances with upgrades in every room! The appraisal was so inaccurate even the bank she was appraising for questioned its validity and returned her appraisal to correct her major errors. She still refused to correct her appraisal using the appropriate comps in our area. We will be telling our network of realtors and lenders to not use Susan. Buying and selling a home is stressful enough and to have your home you have worked so hard on be valued at an unreasonable amount puts another burden on your side. I hope this review helps and no one else becomes a victim of Susan Kabler.

    Not impressed. We sold our townhouse. It is a community of 72 units of townhome/condos, surrounded…read moreby single-family homes - meaning there are not many like-for-like comparables. However, 2 townhomes in the neighborhood, with the EXACT same layout and extremely similar level of upgrades did sell within the past year: one for 445k, the other for $465k. We had agreed to an offer for $416,150, and the appraisal came back at $410k. Mr. Burke had the wrong square footage, he claimed the 445k lot had open space (it's the exact same layout, exact same corner building, maybe a view of "open space"?... however, ours has a view of downtown Reno...). When our realtors disputed the report, he just told us too bad, and he wouldn't adjust anything even though there was clear evidence he was in the wrong. Would NOT recommend - and this process feels illegal...that one person can set the market and ruin a deal, ESPECIALLY when there is precedence for the price. Burke's Appraisals, LLC, and Bay Equity Home Loans should be ashamed of this appraisal and of themselves.

Had he used the correct square footage as per county records, the value would have come in well above the sale price. He is either incompetent or has purposely used incorrect data. Our agent has tried to reach him but he has not responded.
