Chris is running a ponzi scheme, taking deposits from new customers to pay for what appears to be a gambling problem. I paid him over $30,000 for a 300sqft remodeling job. His framing subcon did a good job. There were some struggles in getting his subcon paid after I paid for the framing phase of the project, but those issues did get resolved. I hired Chris for his supposed Electrician knowledge. Its clear that while Chris purportedly has experience as a Lineman in Northern California, he does not have knowledge of home electrical installation. Once the Framing was complete, the next step was Electrical. Chris had 10 days to do this work, and each day, he was a no show. He had a dump run, or he had a trim problem at a different job, and each opportunity he dragged his subcons through the mud, portraying them as incompetent, unreliable and a problem. Yet he used them anyway. In my opinion, the one subcon (framing) that actually put work in, did a good job, kept a clean site and showed up every single day. Chris on the other hand from job start to job firing showed up for no more than one hour each time, less than five total days. He always "forgot his charger", or "had to go to the store" or simply disappeared or didn't show up. over and over and over again. I gave him every opportunity to be successful. After five days in a row of no call no show (even though he confirmed the day before that he would be there), it became clear that the electrical work, which he had two weeks to complete, was not even started, would not be done for the Sheetrock phase. On Wednesday, I went looking for Chris. I found him at Fat Boys Casino at 130pm in the corner by himself playing keno, drinking a beer. I called him, and texted him while standing behind him. no response. he sent my call to voicemail. Then, I unfortunately fired him. Lots of empty promises. outright lies. inability to assess material needs (windows), an inability to read plans. My plans showed a major steel beam that he didnt take into consideration. An inability to do basic Project Management. inability to show up. You simply cannot trust a word he says. I gave Chris every opportunity to make this right. to refund money for services and materials not provided. To mutually agree to part ways. Unfortunately, Chris has a huge blind spot in understanding who he is, and the negative impact his actions and inactions have on his customers. Do not hire C Squared Construction and High Voltage. I am sure if I allowed the ponzi scheme to continue, the next poor sucker to give Chris a deposit would enable him to either pay me back some or continue to line the pockets of the local casino. This is the guy that gives the contracting trade a bad name. 9/13/2024 UPDATE: Chris paid his subcon. he delivered my doors and windows. We reached agreement on a partial refund of the job. However, I am still out $9k in overbilling for work not done, including a charge for windows that I paid for directly, which I hope was an oversight. Chris has been communicative in stating he will resolve our issues. If/When he does, I will update my review accordingly.

So I had to return empty handed and pay the same truck and trailer to come back the following day. They refused to make the cuts that my carpet installer needed and made us make our own cuts. When we did so, we found that they didn't sell us the amount of carpet we paid for. The workers on the floor admitted the mistake but said it was the fault of the front desk lady (who was not present the second day), and because the carpet was cut, it was our responsibility. The Veterans Administration have strict rules and regulations that this company doesn't meet. After no call back to my outside real agent or me. My poor mom who has a brain tumor went over to Karen and tried to get me a spec home that is available on the Westcraft website. Karen advised my mom and I over speaker phone that the base price is 395k but with additional upgrades it would be around 397k. She gave me the number to the preferred mortgage company. Asking me not to use any other lender. The contract would proceed after being pre qualified. Again she asked your not going to put any money down. I replied no it's a VA loan. I was going to put a deposit down in order to hold the home. I was pre qualified immediately. No response even to the mortgage regarding the contract Red flags went up for me when the preferred lender suggested a generic prequalification letter. I waited for a contract and where to send a deposit. Finally after a week I contacted Karen in writing. Where is the contract? I want to lock in the low interest. The house is complete. All she did was back peddle. The famous Karen words. "I need to put it in for final pricing." Another 2 weeks went by. The stalliing to to say it's a market increase. It's done on purpose in order to up the price.I kept pushing the lender and I need to lock in the rate the loan process takes 45 to 60 days the house is almost done. She advised me I was in first position. I requested that a optional price list needs to be present to the VA to meet appraisal. They don't want to do that because they have to account for the final price and that it wouldn't meet the appraisal. Feb 18, 2021 Karen tells me we aren't going to sell you the home. We are going put on the open market. It's going be 500,000 or over. Mr Bridges 40k is nothing. I requested Westcraft put it in writing that they will not sell me this house. They declined in fear of a future lawsuit. I served my country with honor and integrity. Mr. Bridges please PM or anyone else that has experience the same from Westcraft homes.
