Hoboken Brushless Car Wash

I am very particular about my car and car wash. This is the best one in the Hoboken/Jersey City…read morearea by far. Great spot and the owner Brian is a really nice guy. Drives me nuts when you get a fresh wash and a place doesn't properly dry. Halfway down the street your car looks worse than when it when in. Never the case here! The team is always thorough and keeps things moving so you aren't waiting too long. Also worth noting they have plenty of packages depending on what you are looking for and a great deal on a monthly pass discount.

Thought I lost my AirPods but was alerted by my phone that someone took it and turned it on at the car wash the next morning. Went back to the carwash and told them that someone turned it on 10 mins ago (based on "Find my" app) and at first the lead associate was about to turn me away till I told him some crazy story. Then he called the team and after telling them what I said, one associate basically led us back to my car and said he found something hidden in between the seat in my car (I guess it fell out of my belongings) and instead of leaving it in my car, took it out of my car and kept it in their workstation. Luckily I was able to claim back my tech but I'm ashamed that these people would not leave others belongings where they belong. Beware because these people may take your stuff in your car. Also, terrible job vacuuming, there's still cat fur everywhere in my car... maybe focus on your actual tasks instead of vacuuming someone else's valuables.

On Saturday, October 10, I brought my 2010 Nissan Rogue to this business for an oil change. I went…read morewith my son and was told to wait while they serviced my vehicle. They never asked me what type of oil I wanted or explained my options. Instead, they upcharged me and charged $80 for an oil change when conventional oil would have been sufficient for my vehicle. While waiting, I noticed the oil change was taking longer than expected. When I walked over to check on my vehicle, I was brushed away from the area. Looking back, that is extremely concerning. Earlier that week, I had been replacing my own fender clips and using zip ties where I didn't have replacement clips. Because I have been taken advantage of before, I make it a habit to mark important engine components so I can identify them later. I had specifically marked my alternator, starter, and battery. Back to the day of service: I was eventually told to wait inside while they took my car out to be washed. However, my car was left unattended, and they didn't even bother to move it to the wash area. When I got home, I began hearing a squeaking noise coming from underneath my vehicle over the next two days. After about a week of driving, I inspected the engine bay and discovered that my alternator no longer had the identifying markings I had placed on it. Based on this, I strongly suspect that my original alternator had been replaced without my knowledge or authorization. That wasn't all. I also discovered that my left front fender liner had been removed and improperly secured to the bumper with a screw, as though someone had removed it and failed to reinstall the proper clips. After further inspection, I realized that the loose fender liner was rubbing against the engine belt, causing the plastic to squeak and melt while I was driving. This is an extremely dangerous situation that should never have happened after a routine oil change. I brought my car in for an oil change, not to have engine components potentially swapped out or other parts removed and improperly reinstalled. I left that business trusting that my vehicle was safe to drive. Instead, I discovered issues that could have caused serious damage to my vehicle and potentially put my family in danger. I have three children, and my son was with me that day. The thought that I was driving around with a potentially unauthorized replacement part and a loose fender liner rubbing against a moving engine belt is absolutely infuriating. Had that plastic become caught in the belt or caused another mechanical failure, the consequences could have been much worse. I am disgusted by this experience and deeply concerned about this business's practices. I expect honesty, transparency, and competent workmanship when I pay for a service--not unexplained changes to my vehicle and potentially hazardous repairs. I intend to document what I found, pursue a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and explore my options for filing an official report and pursuing legal action if warranted. I am sharing my experience so other customers understand my concerns and take precautions when leaving their vehicles in this business's care. Inspect your vehicle before and after service, document important components, and do not assume that a routine oil change means your vehicle has been handled properly.
