Betty sells a good story, but her group of ladies that she brings into your home to clean are less than ambitious. Don't schedule a quote..... if don't like to spend 30 minutes putting things back in their place, taking knots out of your drapes, or fixing plantation shutters (which they don't tell you that they had a problem with). And, the best part, they put your dog outside and forget to let him back in when they leave....in a thunder storm! When you are communicating with Betty she plays the "I don't understand" card because English is my second language. However, her communication is very clear when she defending damage that her crew did to your home. The idea of having 6 people cleaning your home at the same time is great at first, until you get the results. The goal for Betty is to get in and get out as quick as possible. DON'T THINK JUST BOOK! Hiring Betty and her crew of ladies was the best decision I ever made. I live in a 2,000 sqft townhouse and got a deep clean. Their team of 6 was in and out within an hour and every inch sparkles. Because they use clean products I didn't walk into a house of fumes either which I was very happy about. What a great service!!! First of all, I have had experience with different maid services and specifically Merry Maids in the past. Many things that Cleaning Better does right that other companies don't is the ease of working with them. We needed a last minute move-out clean for my dad since Merry Maids wouldn't accommodate us, and they were able to come out with just two days notice. They were 5 minutes early which is unheard of for Merry maids, and they were quick to get started and had me walk through apartment to review what should be cleaned. There were 4 cleaners so a three story apartment was done in an hour and a half. The swept, mopped, vacuumed, dusted, cleaned frig, oven and all cabinets. I can't tell you how amazing they made the place look. And the price was the cherry on the cake...such an amazing deal and about half the minimum merry maids would have charged. I was so glad and thankful we found this company and would use them again in a heartbeat. Also the owner Betty was extremely easy to work with and responsive. This team of women did an incredible job. They were in and out in an hour, were very efficient, and thoroughly cleaned my whole home! I expected it to take 2 hours and didn't expect it to be this this thorough. Very reasonably priced as well. Be sure to tidy up before they come though! In the past we have used "non-professional" cleaning people for our residence; those that post notices on bulletin boards or we found through local neighborhood social sites. While they were "OK", they were just one person and took a long time to clean our condo (i.e. 2-4 hours), and they were not licensed, bonded, and insured - meaning we were at risk of liability if they fell or were injured in our property. When our most recent "cleaning lady" had medical issues that prevented her from continuing to do our cleaning, we decided to look for "professional" cleaning services that were licensed, bonded, and insured. I contacted 5 cleaning services in the Baltimore area that did residential cleaning, all based on positive Yelp reviews. I provided each of them a description of our property and our cleaning scope and priorities, including those things they would not have to do (i.e. change the bed linens, wash dishes, etc.). 3 of the companies gave me estimates/quotes via email or "Yelp Mail". 2 of the companies came by to see our condo and discuss their cleaning services with us. One company (Cleaning Better), provided us a list of references of current customers for us to call. Betty, the owner, is very nice, and while Cleaning Better is a big company (due to Betty's son, who has built a large business doing commercial and government property cleaning), Betty handles all of the residential cleaning with her crew of 4 ladies. When it came time for us to make a decision, we were impressed with both companies that made visits to our Condo, but in the end it was Betty's personality, open attitude, and excellent track record as verified by her references that resulted in selecting her to clean our condo. We have had Betty for a little over a month, and she and her crew are amazing. We were so used to other "single person" cleaning ladies taking several hours, Betty has her crew so organized that they are literally in and out in a little over an hour, and our condo has never, ever been cleaner. Each member of her crew has a specified responsibility (i.e. usually by room - one does the bathrooms, one does the kitchen, another does the floors, and one does the dusting and mirrors/glassware, although they interact to ensure everything is clean. I can't say enough about how pleased we are with her services - we have the cleanest home we've ever had, minimal intrusion on our time, they provide all of the cleaning products and equipment, and, well, they just do a wonderful job. Finally, Betty stressed to us that if there was ever anything we weren't satisfied with or that may have been missed, we just had to let her know and she would take care of it. I needed a cleaning service to do a very thorough one time deep cleaning of my mom's house to get it ready to go up for sale. This was a very tall task considering the state of the house. I contacted Cleaning Better because of the good reviews. I met with Betty Veneros (the owner) to discuss what needed to be done and to get an estimate. She was very professional and the pricing was reasonable. She and her crew of five ladies came out with in a few days later and completely transformed the whole house with in 5 hours. It was amazing! Betty requested that I go through the house and helped touch up areas that needed it before being paid and before her crew left. This showed how she stands by her work.
