Rarely does anyone enjoy going to the social office, but having to visit this one for any reason is…read morenot bad at all. First, they have a decent sized car park. On a busy day it might fill up but if you are patient you will find a spot handy enough in a few minutes. It's well within walking distance from the town centre so on a nice day you can even walk here. Then there is the office itself. It's spacious and they have an information desk and multiple hatch windows in a separate area to handle other business. Thanks to the fact everything in there these days is all on computer, even signing documents is done digitally in the office, it makes the queues here very short and very quick. Compared to some of the offices I have been to in other parts of the country, this one is quite a pleasant surprise.

It is inside a closed shop, which gives it an odd…read moreaesthetic, but due to its hidden location the queues are usually small and you can get in and out very quickly. Also note - it was called the Post Office on Clonroadmore Road for a while but now the An Post website has them listed as Station Road, which the road is now known as, so both are the same location.
