On April 28 approximately around 6:15 pm I was physically assaulted , embarrassed , and discriminated against . After a 10 hour shift I decided too make the barbershop my last stop not knowing what it would lead too .
As I walked inside FADES BARBERSHOP at 3230 wrightsboro rd I was instantly stereo typed as the barbers looked at me in a disgusted manner , yet I still kept a short smile and walked over too my seat too wait on a available chair , as I waited for a chair to open I went on my phone and searched up the haircut I wanted . After I found the haircut maybe about 10 more minutes passed by and I decided too ask the barber if he was ready too cut and casually said yes so I pulled out my phone and proceeded too show him the haircut I would like and he took a look and he instantly turnt me away with a hand wave gesture telling me " get out my face go too someone else's chair I don't wanna cut your hair , it's either u sit down or I don't cut your hair at all" as he said this he was very aggressive , disgusting and completely out of line , I felt embarrassed and discriminated against as the other customers sat and watched , some of the barbers even laughed .
As I turned around too grab my belongings out of the waiting chair I asked him why was he always being aggressive with me , he proceeded too say you had a attitude soon as you walked in which I didn't I looked tired if any thing remind you I did a 10 hour shift , I work outside in the heat all day , building retainer walls lifting 50 pound bricks with one break a day on a 4 man team , I was very tired and ready too lay down .
As the conversation continued and I proceeded too walk out the barber shop the barber I initially asked for a haircut followed behind me and as I turned around he punched me in the face , instantly I started defending myself as best as I could . mind u now every barber in there is over or atleast 250 pounds pure muscle standing at 6'0 some at 6'5 as I got control of the situation the other barbers ran over and started punching me kicking me pulling me off of him and stomping me , all 4 guys then picked me up and took me outside and continued too beat me and stomp me until blood starting gushing out of my head , I was out of breath and couldn't defend myself anymore due too my arm being popped out of the socket as the fight took place , I was repeatedly punched on the ground while pleading the barbers too let me up , then I heard one of the barbers say , "YOU DESERVE IT , YOU ASKED FOR IT" sir how did I ask for it if all I wanted was a haircut .
After the barbers got up off me the barber I was initially supposed too get my haircut by continued punching me in the head in the same spot blood was gushing out from , I began too get lightheaded and was very much out of breath again I couldn't move or free myself from under him because of my shoulder , after he decided too get up off of me he then kicked me in the chest .
I finally got up and asked for my belongings and they brung them and threw them outside on the ground and continued too laugh and some walked back inside .
This how AUGUSTA GEORGIA barbers treats their returning customers , I've never been in a verbal argument with any of them we never had any type of disagreement . It doesn't matter if I looked like I had a attitude what matters is that I went up too the barber with nothing but the upmost respect and he shoo'ed me off all because of a picture . I was taken too the hospital by ambulance , given a X-ray and cat scans , I suffered a laceration too my head and a dislocated shoulder and a bruised chest and back . I was brutally beaten by 4 guys for entirely no reason I'm asking that someone looks into this because no one should have too go through this all because of a certain haircut .
