My roommate and I were moving into a new apartment in downtown Toronto and the previous tenants had left an absolute mess of the place. The place was in such bad condition even the property manager informed us that we could hire professional cleaners and would be fully reimbursed for the costs. In the busiest moving time of the year (may) we were very fortunate that Clean and Shiny was available later that day to clean our 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom unit. Alex and Ella (the owners) did an amazing job and fully met our expectations. In only a couple hours they transformed our dump of apartment into one of downtown Toronto's finest. What I liked most about Alex and Ella is how patient and thorough they are. My roommate and I were very passionate when explaining all the areas in our unit which particularly bothered us. Alex and Ella listened to every word we said and took such great care of our place. Something else you may not know is that many cleaning companies actually ask you to provide them with cleaning supplies. Do not waste your time and money with this husband-and-wife team. they are a big fraud!!! they charged 305 dollars to clean my apartment. it was a rental and i needed to get it cleaned for the new tenants. (the building is fairly new) there was not much to be done, just your normal cleaning, dusting moping, fridge, stove etc. when they were done with their so-called cleaning; they sprayed perfume to make it seems like the place was clean. I had to get another cleaning service to clean the entire place. Ella and her husband just use dollar store wipes to clean the surface. the floors were not mopped. the shower still filthy with hair on the walls. it was obvious that they did not even use any water to clean anything. the kitchen sink was discolored and only needed some vim and water to clean and that they didn't even do that. the microwave was still filthy. the bathroom floors was not mopped with water. when the new cleaners mopped the floors, the water was so dirty.....clearly they didn't even clean the floors. these people are not legit!!! they are old and as cold as can be!!!! do not use this service you will regret it.....but if you do, don't pay until us see the work and make sure to inspect before paying...... horrible people. when I confronted them, they had nothing to say, no apology, no I'm sorry you feel that way. they just didn't care!! they didn't even try to defend the job they did..... that said a lot!! beware of these people....beware. the husband is very aggressive and all he cares about is the money. these people if left alone with your personal belongings they will steal your stuff. read more

Do Not Hire This Company ! - Horrible Service, Horrible Cleaning! I don't know where to begin! This is by far the worse cleaning experience that I have ever had to deal with. I wish I had read earlier reviews including some google reviews. This is a husband-wife duo that own and operate the business. I called the wife to schedule a move out cleaning job for our condo. Prior to the appointment I spoke with the wife on the phone and asked her what her rates were and how it all worked. I told her the size of our condo and what needed cleaning. Long story short she said it shouldn't be no more than $300. On the day of the appointment, they arrived late. My husband was present at the time and was in and out of the home. It started to become very fishy as they were taking their time. We've had cleaning companies clean our condo in the past and they never took this long. Eventually they said they needed to eat, and sadly they milked us for the time they had their lunch. My husband was so generous that he drove to metro to buy them tuna sandwiches (at their request). After this it was already hitting the 5 hour mark and we had enough. My husband said that it was going beyond time and it was starting to look suspicious as they were trying to milk us for money. All these people did was clean the bathrooms and cleaned the surface counters (which mind you still had some dust/crumbs). The sweep job was horrible and in the end my husband and I had to redo everything. You'd expect by paying $400 you'd get your oven cleaned ? Nope! Nothing. Things got worse the next day when I text the women explaining we were unsatisfied with the work and that things were still a mess. The woman became furious saying there wasn't enough time to do a thorough job. I didn't buy that for one minute because my husband witness them just lounging around..taking longer lunch breaks (that we had to pay for!). The woman became extremely abusive through text messages saying that she could call children services for messy homes. At that point I was done with this company. That is a low reach for someone to go. My home is maintained on a weekly basis. I have before pictures and in no way is my home in a shape for such a suggestion. I immediately called her as soon as she sent that text and she kept rambling on. I think she regret saying such a thing. Long story short, this company is looking to squeeze every penny out of you. I have never heard of a company that you need to pay for their lunch and that time they eat. They did a horrible job and we ended up using our regular cleaning company to come fix the mess. The only reason we didn't go with our regular company was they were not available on Sundays. We later found out they used some of our own cleaning products and sponges but discretely put them back. Listen to the reviews that others have posted and save yourself your sanity and money! There are far more reputable companies that do a much better job in such a shorter timeframe. These people don't provide any pricing information on their website - that's a redflag right there! They'll come to your home and start making up prices. Besides the horrible cleaning job, I'm appalled at the lack of professionalism and basic kindness to customers DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, COMLPETE FRAUD!
