I learned of Clayton admittedly through YouTube while trying to figure out how to get through a breakup. There are several "experts" who advise and recommend different techniques and methods - and some make sense and are probably worth doing. However, while most of these "experts" say to take time to work on yourself, they don't tell you how. They don't tell you why. If I had to sum up my work with Clayton in one word it would be 'Responsibility'. When I started working with him, it was because I wanted help with my relationship. Or so I thought. What I have come to realize through the process was that what I really wanted help with was myself. This past year has been a real time of personal exploration for me. As many have, I found Clayton after a breakup. I had come to a point in life where everything was seemingly coming apart and my direction forward was as unclear as could be. The best way to describe my time working with Clayton would be, "Not what I expected." In truth, it has been so much more than I expected. I reached out to him as a broken, forlorn, anxious and depressed man who was desperately trying to hold onto a relationship that I felt defined me, that I couldn't live without, and that was "meant to be." I was grasping at any straw that gave me even an inkling of hope that things would work. I had a consultation with Clayton, and while I was incredibly surprised at his insightfulness into my situation, I also wasn't jazzed about the fact that, while he was definitely interested in helping me with the relationship, he was much more focused on coaching me to recognize my potential and teaching me how to work towards a "greater goal."
