During the trial class, my daughter (2.5 years) was participating and connecting with the teacher within the first few minutes. By contrast, she didn't participate much at the other studio even after multiple classes. And it's because the teachers at the dance network are so compassionate and engaging. We have since told friends and family to join us at the dance network! When you walk into the studio it has such a calm, home-like vibe and it's just completely unpretentious, which is hard to find around here. So glad we found this place!

We were going to solvang and then to the beach and only had one day we would be able to attend the show. Luckily they had availability and once I told him they had $25 tickets available My hubby said go ahead and by the tickets...if we don't like it we can leave during the intermission and at least it wouldn't be a lot of money wasted. The show was awesome! We were really impressed, the singing, the acting, the choreography, the sound system and the costumes were all really good. About as good as any Disney production we've seen. Our seats were the cheapest you could get and weren't horrible. They were on the first row and we had less leg room than other rows. Also our view was more at the foot level of the stage but nothing was blocking our view. I ordered the tickets online and received them by email . It was easy to show and scan at entry. The theater is outside and as recommended we brought sweaters and glad we did. They offer drinks and snacks to purchase during intermission but we opted not to get anything. We both enjoyed our evening watching Frozen at the solvang festival theater. So glad we chanced it and went! If we get the opportunity to go again we will.

When I was checking out their Instagram, I really dug the vibes and message shared by the owner. I happened to notice that an Intro to Kickboxing class was being hosted in the coming week and decided to attend! Located next to an old theater, there's lots of parking for the studio. I had seen that the studio was a no shoes policy so I entered, then took off my shoes before walking onto the mat. I got to meet the owner Bridget and she gave a spiel about Awaken and its mission! During the class we were taught some basic kicks and punches that would come up during a regular class at Awaken. She also took time to explain the various types of classes that were offered at the studio. It was a very cool and fun environment that definitely encouraged me to come back. Ever since this class, I purchased a class pack and have been coming back every week! I would become a member but am currently in the midst of transitioning out of university and don't quite have the funds to support a membership at the moment. Nonetheless, I've enjoyed all of my classes I've taken and miss it when I don't go back for a bit. Anyone thinking about checking Awaken out -- go for it! You won't regret it.
