I have lived with Classic Sofas for a lifetime! My first was in my first studio apartment in NYC...where it was not only my sofa but my bed each night. Chosen for its incredible style but, kept for its comfort and well made structure...it was loved and eventually reupholstered when pets and kids and life had taken a toll on its beautiful fabric. It is still in use and beloved by its owner! And in a recent move I needed a sofa for another space. After searching and never finding the quality and comfort I was hoping for I went back to Classic Sofa and found (again!!!) the perfect sofa. When buying a sofa, quality of workmanship and fabric is so important...but, important too, at least for me, is no pressure sales and time to consider options before making a decision. In the sales process I experienced that understanding and patience. Choosing a quality sofa is a big and long-lasting decision. They communicated in all stages, handled the sofa with extreme care, ensured I was happy with the product and placement and left no trace of their visit behind! This company sells itself as a full service bespoke manufacturer. They knock off classic designs at will and up sale beyond a clients budget. They have been known to re-upholster product with the wrong fabric, ignore delivery dates then sue the end user when they complained about the trail of abuse. BEWARE! read more

The two man crew you sent were akin to SURGEONS - they took the world's most CUMBERSOME couch and beloved family heirloom and disassembled it as if it were a lego puzzle and put it back together with uncanny expertise... It is a traditional style and was so thrilled that Classic Sofa could pick it up and reupholster it, including re-stuffing the feathers and bringing my sofa back to life. Classic Sofa's workmanship is just that--"Classic." They made my iiving room sofa, and I was so delighted with the results that I asked them to "re-make" a living room chaise lounge that I had purchased on Amazon. Like many older people, my husband and I had a hard time standing up from the chaise because it was too close to the ground. Classic Sofa re-designed it with beautifully carved higher legs. They also recovered if with lovely fabric. I am jealous of the other reviewers. My experience was not as satisfying. Even though Blake was entirely involved in the process of fabric selection for my four antique chairs, he ultimately blamed the fabric because the welting/piping came out so poorly. This was very disappointing. read more

My sofa, made by Classic Sofa a decade ago, was recently recovered. In addition to reupholster the reasonable estimate included new back and seat cushions and remaking the basic structure so the piece was brand new. The craftsman did a superb job, I went to the Bronx showroom, saw the work in progress. Now the sofa is home I am thrilled. Jacob and Blake were always available, answered my every query. Pick up and delivery were on time, at my convenience ( how rare that is) I cannot speak highly enough of this company. Excellent customer service. Blake and Jacob couldn't be more responsive and helpful. Our sectional is gorgeous and sumptuous. Beautifully crafted right in their warehouse. You can go see the whole operation. It was done exactly when they promised. No complaints. Blake and Jacob did an amazing job of creating the perfect couches for our new office. We showed them a picture and they worked their magic and created exact replicas.
