It is well balanced with a variety of topics of interest to most Kentuckians. Regular departments include Kentucky Kwiz, Across Kentucky, Curiosities, Cooking, Explore 120 Eats (A Quest to Taste Kentucky's Best), People, Off the Shelf, Field Notes, and Calendar. Even if I didn't the Guide to Kentucky's most interesting events at the end of the magazine provides a valuable tool for planning extra activities. It is not only broken down by dates it is also listed by regions (Bluegrass, Louisville, Northern, Western, and Southern). I've read the November Issue but now I'm outlining activities I don't want to miss in November.

If I ever leave Kentucky, and I hope to never do so, my Kentucky Monthly subscription will stay with me.
