We hired Classic Construction on June 28th and as of November 9th still not one project finished.Beware don't hire this company!!!! We hired Classic Construction owner Chris Pesta to do a lot of work on our home porch,gable,trim,stone concret, garage floor service walks.To begin let's talk about their draw schedule which I didn't understand but will share with you.To start with 6800 down payment then 3000 for drawing of gable not cost of drawing just draw payment then permit 7000 collected again by Chris when permit is in reminder no work is done yet Sometime in Aug a junk pickup pulls up two guys jump out with sledge hammers to Demo my porch and yet again Chris Pesta comes over for another draw payment 3333 for beginning of porch.The two guys work about an hour and a half and leave never to be seen again.They left bricks and mess all over my front yard and a half of a porch for over two weeks.After many phone calls about two and a half weeks later another junk pickup pulls up and out comes a guy with his young son my so called professionals that Classic Construction hired to do my porch.They plan on using huge pieces of concrete as my fill for my porch not even crush it just old huge pieces of concrete lava rock from my yard and pieces of brick this concerned my husband so he talks to Chris and is told it will be fine.My husband then goes out and gets rid of concrete pieces so they don't use these massive pieces as fill..They begin digging and now they are off on the footings once again my husband goes to Chris it will be fine well it isn't and what a huge mess.The footings are so messed up concrete all over which will end up lifting because of the way it's installed.It looks like it was the first try of a guy putting a porch in.The porch is 4 brick high on one side and goes to 5 high on the other side it's on a strange slant and a total mess all the way around it.Chris tells us they will acid wash it not done.Now walkway is so bad it was on a huge slope it didn't pass inspection.Again not fixed yet and it's November.Now comes gable and another you guessed it draw check 3333 carpenter gone trim guy here they are good but again not done yet.Now we have stone guy and again another draw check Chris came to collect 3333 he is also very good but again it's not finished but not stone guys fault waiting for our doors to put in stoop,but again Chris has his money no porch rails yet no awnings porch a piece of s... And not done trim not done and our friends at Classic say hey we will help you out and give you landscaping in front of porch you won't see the front.Really new porch and I have to hide it!!!!!!!WTF But yet still no landscaping even though my porch will probably not last anyway the way it's built oh and cap has chips cracks and also looks awful.Now comes concrete garage floor empty garage and here comes Chris I need another draw of 8800 which leaves a tiny balance of about 1500.I flip out so he calls concrete guy and cancels him until I pay him 8800 so I just pay in full to get rid of this horrible nightmare I'm in.So nothing at all finished no concrete even started and to even get to that had to pay all but 1500 of contract.Buyer Beware this is the worst company I have ever dealt with.Classic Construction is really a guy with a clipboard he subs out everything and did you know the general contractor can pull permit and hire whoever they want.Remember the guy and his kid.Most of the guys coming to work here squeezed us in and really didn't want to be here.The framer came on a Sat and came back on Monday making sure to tell me he really didn't have time for my house he had a much larger project that he needed to get to!!!!! Stay away from this company they are nice to begin with then it will change.Chris told me he was right on schedule seven week June 28th to November 9th and no end in sight in my eyes is not seven weeks.I have appointment with my lawyer on Wed!!!!!!!! Excellent and professional company. Our bathroom was remodeled from them, we let the owner pick all the supplies and he has excellent taste in decor. My bathroom is awesome. The bathroom was gutted and started from fresh. The owner, Chris handled everything from start to finish. He checked in on his workers all the time. They sent him pics of each day at the end of the day for progress. It had to pass his inspection. Would recommend him and his company to everyone. Thank you Mr. Chris for the awesome job! read more
