Hello everyone. Right off the bat I am confirming that the barber shop is indeed open, not permanently closed as Gmaps suggests and.. I had my haircut by Richard. He was great! I walked in, got lucky and sat right down, and was treated to pleasant ,intelligent conversation the whole time. The price was reasonable and the straight razor was a cool finishing touch. Mike is an amazing barber! I've been very satisfied with each haircut fade hard part straight razor to clean it all up. He's does it all prices so cheap you almost feel like you're ripping him off. If you're new to Kingman, there basically seems to be 2 kinda businesses... the normal, reasonably 'professional' kind most of us are used to, that actually want your business... and the small town, typical 'good old boy' types who've been there forever and already have a bunch of 'regulars', so they really don't need to 'care'. And let's just say that unfortunately this shop seems to fall into the 'latter' category, like my barber who was surprisingly quarrelsome right from the get-go, and seemed to thrive on 'drama'. But the haircut was OK, with the cost about the same, or even a bit higher than most other barbers in town. Though if you're a 'local', or else they 'approve' of you, then you'll probably get along just fine. And if not, no worries, they're not gonna care anyway. read more

Just received my haircut. Walk-ins are welcome and the hometown atmosphere is laid back and comfortable. Their great with clientele from 4 to 104! Lewis did very well with my cut and shave. Has an eye for detail. Asks questions and keeps you informed and engaged in conversation when appropriate. Barber over Salon anytime! Great job guys. I'll be back. read more

Since I moved to Kingman, I have been looking for a good barber who KNOWS how to do fades/tapers correctly. I still have my barber in Las Vegas, however, I will no longer need to drive over as much because these guys really do it right. I have gone in twice so far, and each time I was completely satisfied. Super friendly and very fair with pricing, I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a proper haircut. Don't waste your time at the national chains (i.e. supercuts, sports clips). read more

I took my grandson here for a haircut. When I walked in there were two gentlemen cutting hair and one man waiting for an appointment. I sat down and patiently waited with my grandson. For 35 minutes I watched the younger barber on the left cut hair for approximately 10 seconds and talk about politics for a minute and a half. Then a cowboy walked in with his two young sons and the barber on the left came over and for five minutes explained the possibilities and non-possibilities of him being able to cut the hair of this man and his two sons. The man informed the barber that they were going to get buzz cuts and it shouldn't take that long. I felt like saying you have not seen this Man cut hair. Anyways the cowboy politely said that he would wait till this is boys need their haircut no matter how long it took. The barber then informed him one more time ,OK well I might not be able to get to you. Hi then for another 15 minutes, watch the barber on the left talking and not cutting hair. He then started to remove the gown and the neck hair tissue. And I thought to myself finally over. And then found it he had only removed them so that he could brush off the man getting his haircut and then put it back on him again he didn't like all that hair all over his shoulders and neck the barber that is. At this point I felt bad for the cowboy because I know that he's taking valuable time away from his horses or farm in order to take care of his kids. At this point I had had enough and I informed the cowboy that he may have my position and I took my grandson to sports clips where we were in and out of the door in 15 minutes. I am 52 years old I remember barbershops from when I was a kid and I know that they are a different type of place than a regular hair salon. But when there are people waiting in line patiently for your services you need to shut your damn mouth and do your job. read more

Number one place in town for a good haircut and great conversation. Our family has been going to Mark for years. He has never disappointed and always works well with our work and school schedule to the best of his ability. We have unfortunately even ran late a time or two and he never once was rude about it. His prices are also very reasonable, and his Barbershop is always impeccably clean. His customer service is top notch and is very welcoming. He offers cold bottled water which is also a bonus in the heat. After the haircut he has a sucker jar for the patron or the parent to enjoy. It's the small things that make the world of difference and The Classic Barbershop definitely has it right. read more
