There's something so calming about aerial yoga which is why I wanted to try it in the first place and the Sukha Arts center is definitely a great place to check out! Whether you're looking to do something new or lose weight, they offer a variety of classes from Candlelit Aerial Yoga to Aerial Dance Fitness! They even offer family yoga! We started coming here when they opened in 2017 mostly because my wife wanted to. But it is impossible not to be won over by the place. The franchise owners Thomas and Fransiska, are champion dancers themselves and as mesmerizing to watch as anyone on DWtS. They are incredibly warm and welcoming and are constantly creating parties, showcases, and events to make it fun. We take most of our lessons with Klaudia who is amazingly energetic, knowledgeable, fun, and a perfect teacher who always knows just what to say to help us get better. She is a pure delight. Arthur Murray has a well-established structured curriculum with about a dozen levels (the highest being practically like a professional dancer) which requires specific steps and techniques to be mastered before graduating to the next level. It amazes me, but they can actually teach people to dance--not just the steps, but all the moves. We actually look like dancers now. The arrangement is more like belonging to a club. You pay for weekly individual lessons but are free to attend group lessons, which are offered 6 times a week. In addition, they host twice-weekly evening "practice parties" where they dim the lights and play 2-minute clips of all the different dances for everyone to dance their steps and just have fun. My wife can't get enough; she is at the studio 6 times a week. If you have any inclination to learn to dance, there will never be a better opportunity to do it than Arthur Murray Tenafly.

Her name is Charlene. I was hesitant when I first walked into the gym. I expected everyone to be skinny and that is not me. I was showed around the gym and met Charlene. I felt very comfortable and because of her I was able to let go of my anxiety and now she trains me 3-4 times a week. Without Charlene there is no way I would've been able to feel as comfortable as I do in the gym and to train as often as I do. I actually look forward to my training days. The workout spaces were immaculately clean, the equipment is plentiful and all in working condition, and they had just about any piece of equipment you might need. I understand that it might not be as cheap as your local Planet Fitness, but it isn't meant to BE a Planet Fitness. If I lived in the area...I'd join.
