This is by far the best car wash/detailer around town! They really know how to treat their customers! I stopped in after work (late afternoon) a few days back to get my car cleaned up and detailed before I traded it in. The detailing manager, Mr Haskins, apologized and said they were swamped and asked if I could come back the next day. Being a teacher and not allowed to leave during h day, I explained my situation. Mr Haskins sent somebody the next day to pick up my vehicle and then came to pick me up after work. The young lady who picked me up (I wish I could remember her name!) was also extremely friendly and we had a good conversation on the way back. The detail job was above and beyond my expectations and they even managed to buff out some scrapes on the vehicle, which really helped bring up my trade in value. I will definitely be bringing my new vehicle to this crew as soon as it's ready for some cleaning and detailing! HIGHLY recommended! Thanks yall!! read more

Awful customer service. I've been a member of Classic Auto Spa for over 2 years and visit the Johnston Street location multiple times a week. Earlier in the week, I was involved in an incident where midway through my wash my vehicle slammed into the back of an oversized truck with a hitch. My vehicle is damaged, but the trunk was fine due to the hitch. The moving belt with a stationary vehicle forced my tires off the conveyor. When the operator and manager stopped the wash and approached our vehicles, they said I wasn't on the conveyor, so it must be my fault. Rather than a simple apology that the incident happened at their business, or asking if myself, my baby, or the driver in front of me were okay, they jumped to blame me without actually thinking through the situation. (i.e. if I was on the tracks to begin then either the operator shouldn't have sent me through and/or I wouldn't have been midway through the tunnel if I wasn't on conveyor to start). A disclaimer prominently displayed before entering states the vehicles/dimensions that cannot be accommodated in the wash because they are too large or otherwise will cause issues. I was so baffled by the situation that I left with a dented vehicle full of soap! I heard them tell the trunk to drive through again for a cleaning, but I was offered nothing. Not even as much as an apology. After numerous (over 40) attempts to contact via phone, website contact form, and leaving my number for a call-back, 6 days later, no one has contacted me or answered the phone. Visited again to cancel my membership (couldn't do it over the phone because no one answers!), and I saw the manager walking in the office. I left my number again, but she has not called. read more

I came here before to get my car detailed and they did an AMAZING job. It was completely spotless and they even sprayed some protection on my car cause they saw I had an animal. I took it again today and added the floor mat washing cause it was pretty dirty and needed more than a vacuum. When I got my car back I felt like they did a pretty sloppy job. There was still mud on my mats, sand in the back of my car and dirt in the cup holders. I felt like they just took a vacuum and ran it over my car just to get the major stuff. I'd go back again cause I feel like the crew today was not the same from last time. But if it's obvious they did a careless job again, I think that's the last time for me. Why pay $40 when you could do a better job yourself ? I would just stick to the exterior car wash. read more

First they increased the price that includes the tire shine but it was still worth it now your car comes out tires looking all nasty rims really dirty. The tire shine is what made this carwash the best and now its just as regular as the rest of them. Almost 3 years with the membership and now im just really going to cancel it. I always go to Classic Auto Spa. On veterans day I rolled into Classic(Johnston St) for my weekly wash. I presented my USAA credit card to the attendant and much to my surprise she asked me if I am a veteran. Well, she proceeded to thank me for my service to our country and told ,me that I was entitled to a complimentary car wash from the owners of the spa. I come here from time to time for the $15 exterior wash and vacuum. I just showed up at 5:45 (forgetting that they close at 6) and when I got down to pre-wash my windshield, one of the tire shine guys told me they closed in 15 minutes. While I appreciate the courtesy that he let me know so that I don't waste my time, it would be nice to have gotten my car washed. I know there was no way for me to pre-wash, go through the exterior wash, and also get vacuuming done in that amount of time so I left, sad and with a dirty car. With the sun out later, maybe business hours could be extended? Or at least let a customer complete the full process as long as they're at the window by 6. read more

My wife talks about this place ALL the time, but I was skeptical. I've got a brand new vehicle that is less than a month old, so I was wary of anything that wasn't a touchless car wash... silly, I know. I decided to give these guys a try since I didn't have time to do it by hand today, but needed a wash badly. I opted for the $10 package (packages are $5, $10, and $15). This was the basic wash, plus undercarriage cleaning AND a tire wash and shine, which they have someone do by hand. I have to say, I am THOROUGHLY impressed! They have an area where you can pull in and do a free, self service pre-wash with brushes for those tough spots. Not only does the tunnel do a great job of washing, but they also do a little pre wash with a brush, by hand, as you pull into the tunnel. After your wash is done (which includes a blower dry), you are able to pull into their vacuum bay and vacuum your entire vehicle FOR FREE! Seriously, this alone is worth choosing these guys over the competition. Each space has a vacuum on EACH side for each car so that you don't have to beat up your vehicle with the vacuum hose, or try to thread the needle and pass it through your vehicle to the other side. Getting a good car was isn't rocket science, but these guys definitely know value, know what matters. It's the little things that make this place great. **today I noticed scratches on the bottom trim around the wheel wells. Not happy.** Went in without any problems, came out with a scratched up wheel. No way to prove it happened there, so I have to eat the price to get it fixed, but I'm certain the scratches were not there before. Even the rim shop asked what happened and agree that it was not from a curb or pothole or anything like that. Oh well, used to come here about twice a month without issue, guess I'll find another car wash. read more

Needs a new scanner for the membership barcodes shouldn't have to wait at the window for it to scan should be able just to drive through to increase line speed because it didn't scan mine and couldn't go through because I didn't have time to wait in the line. read more

Being new to Lafayette I did not know where I should bring my car to get it washed and cleaned. So I decided to give Classic Auto a chance. I will say that this car washed really impressed me! The general facility is super clean and well organized. The car washes themselves are also excellent. Usually with other car washes you'll go through and you might have some dirty spots still.... but at Classic Auto, nope! My car came out spectacularly clean. My wheels were also clean and I opted for the tire shine which is a must. It makes a huge difference, trust me! After your wash, another thing that impressed me was the complimentary vacuum/detail area. The vacuum cleaners are not weak like most, and the lanes aren't tight which provides you a lot space to work. This is essential because you are allowed to open your doors all the way to clean out every nook and cranny of interior. Trash cans are also provided for trash. They also do complete detailing here, which from what I've read are excellent as well. I'm glad that I found this place because the next time that my car needs a wash, I'll definitely be back at Classic Auto Spa. read more

UPDATE: Fri 03/20/2015 Earlier today, I received a smartass comment from someone who said that I should have called first rather than just showing up barely an hour before closing. I guess this person had a point. The main reason I will *NOT* patronize this business is this... I posted a review, honestly stating how I felt I was not treated very well as a customer... and NO ONE representing this business has ever bothered to attempt to contact me. It's quite obvious from the reviews that these people are capable of doing a good job... but this apparent lack of concern from the management/ownership just leads me to believe that I'll stick with Todd's Auto Care, folks who treat you *very* nicely *and* do a *great* job as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, I'd love to rate this place... but I was not given the chance to see what they can do. After driving for twenty plus minutes, I arrived at 5:01 p.m.... and was told that they do not provide interior service after 5:00 p.m. I pointed out that the web site states clearly that they close at 6:00 p.m. The young lady, who was quite polite, stated that was correct... but they quit taking cars for interior cleaning at 5:00 p.m. So, I left with a dirty car only to have to drive another twenty minutes in rush hour traffic just to get back to where I started. I have no problem with this policy... but perhaps your website should be updated so that persons like myself will not be inconvenienced. After all, it appears that "service" and concern for your customers. What about convenience? By the way, thanks for the rush hour traffic! Despite the fact that you have good reviews, and your stated concerns about providing good service to your customers, it appears that your policy is much more important to you than are your customers (i.e., my having to drive for forty plus minutes in rush hour traffic for nothing due to my arriving one minute late for your deadline which is stated nowhere). This is by far a gem of a find. I used Classic to detail my car a year ago when I was in my hometown of Lafayette and was very impressed.This year I had a terrible mishap in my car and an entire gallon of milk drained into my carpet. After having it cleaned somewhere else because it was around the corner, 3 days and a horrific stench later I ended up with MAGGOTS infested into my car coming through my floorboard. Needless to say I was completely hysterical!!! The WONDERFUL PEOPLE at CLASSIC were not only professional, but were compassionate. I truly felt like my family was helping me, calling and informing me step by step how they were handling this nightmare. As a mother of 3 children 14 hours away from my home, I honestly do not know what I would have done without them. I like this place! Although it's a little pricier then other places, it's worth it. People are nice and there's a lot of options to get your car in pristine condition. After spending my $15 in getting their top wash, I had to vacuum my own vehicle and wipe my own tires, and then I noticed it was still dirt on my car on the roof and on the hood so when I drove it over to the door where the guys are, a guy look at it and said, oh you're going to have to get a complete compound and wax to get that off, and I said to him with your finger and rub it on there it comes off like dirt it's like it turned to mud, so he did and then he didn't say anything and walked away and went got that heavyset guy in the office with red hair and he came out and he rubbed his dry finger on the car walk around and said well this car needs a lot of TLC, Doug I need a complete whack job to get that off, and I said to him if you let your finger and rub it on there it comes off like dirt it needs to be re-washed and he was like no no it needs to be waxed I was like nope never mind thank you I'll make sure I give you zero stars on yelp never when I come back here again NEVER read more

Just experienced the cash wash and was NOT impressed bugs still on windshield & front grill/bumper of car. Waste of Money!!

I got my car hand washed today with the interior cleaned as well. I go there often and they usually do a fantastic job. However, not this time. Because they were short staffed, when they told me that my car was ready, I could not believe it. It was the poorest job they had done. The car was not very clean with spots (dirt) that could be scratched off with my finger nail, lint on the car and places where water had dried ---clearly indicating that it had not been wiped down carefully. I complained and one of the guys proceeded to put some spray on the spots and to give it another wipe-down. The price of this terrible job was $50.00. Right there on the spot, I contacted another detail shop scheduling them to rectify the disappointing job that I got at Classic. read more
