We had the unfortunate luck of the window on the front of our home cracking after it was hit just…read moreright by a rock kicked up from the lawnmower. We called Glass Doctor after seeing their vehicle in our neighborhood working on a home that just went under contract. The process to receive a quote seemed painless. They sent someone out within a week to measure the window and take photos to ensure they ordered the correct product. I put a deposit down, the window was ordered and they scheduled to come install two weeks later. Upon install the gentleman had difficulty replacing the window, as our plantation shutters were "in the way." While this should have been mentioned at our initial "quote" visit, it wasn't. My husband removed the entire shutter, caulking, nails and all so the gentleman could have better access to the window. Unfortunately at some point a piece of the window lock was broken. He assured us the company would take care of replacement, took photos of the window, took the broken piece with him to "match" the color and went on his way. Weeks went by with no word. Eventually we heard the wrong part had been sent and they were waiting on another one. Another week. Meanwhile, our front shutters were still sitting and waiting to be put back up. Finally they texted that the part had arrived and they would be out to replace it in the next few days. A new gentleman came to replace it. He was just as confused as we were when he pulled out the WHITE replacement for our BEIGE window lock. He assured us the office must have made a mistake, but left us with the white piece so that our window would be functional in the meantime. We contacted the office to let them know about the mixup and we're told "Yeah, white was the only color we could find. I Can have a manager call you if you want." I was disappointed regarding the lack of care taken to make right a situation we had been exceptionally patient and kind regarding. It's been radio silent since. No manager call. I'm guessing we're stuck footing the time, energy and cost to have a product that matches on our high end window as well as have our shutters put back up. I'll consider looking elsewhere in the future for my glass needs.

But get this, they didn't have the windshield nor the molding at the shop. Like you, I smacked my forehead at the ineptitude of whomever scheduled me to come in without ensuring the material needed was in the shop. This is the third time I've come to get my windshield fixed. The first time, they replaced the windshield. The second time I came in to tell them the molding along the passenger side of the windshield had flown off while I was driving the car. Also, I showed them the molding along the driver's side was buckling. To prevent it from flying off too, they took it into the shop to reseat it. While doing that work, they cracked my windshield. Safelight scheduled me to come in today to get a new windshield and the passenger side molding, under warranty. But after sitting here for almost an hour, the tech came out to tell me they didn't have the windshield nor the passenger side molding in the shop. I asked if when they do get the windshield and the molding, that they come to my house to do the work. They said they would. I'll edit this post to report what transpires next...stay tuned.

I called AGSA and a window specialist came to my home within 2 1/2 hours. When the specialist arrived, he quickly determined that I needed a window regulator but was very kind to get the window up since it was cold outside. After buying the part at a local auto part store, I texted the specialist. He was opened to coming back to my home to repair the window; however, I was at my work location. The specialist arrived at my workplace within 20 minutes and fixed the window in the parking lot. Note: The home and workplace visits were done on the same day. I highly recommend AGSA. Professional. My car dealer had recommended…read moreit and with all the construction going on around town and tons of trucks, industrial vehicles and weather around SA, I wanted to protect the paint. When we heard about the service, my husband called several times and no one called back?? They just corresponded via text and email, no personal interaction until we got to the shop. We even brought it up to our car dealer and he said that if we didn't hear back after a certain amount of time that he would try to reach out to them. Finally, they corresponded with a price via email and time available via text. I finally brought it in as I was on vacation for a few weeks. When we got to the shop, no one greeted my husband according to him as I was still outside. No salutations. He proceeded to tell them his name and what car we were dropping off. The rep was with another employee on the computer in the front desk. When they finally got to us, they took our info and the rep explained the process, other services they provide if we wanted in the future, e.g., Ceramic Coating and Window Tints, how long the job would take, how to take care of it and how long it would have to fully cure and to not allow water to sit on the top for now as it is a porous product. They also offer an Uber if you needed a ride home. After the paperwork was completed, I asked if we could look at the shop in the back so there's a waiting area with windows to view the process and application. Pretty cool and I noticed lots of high-end vehicles being serviced. You could really see the attention to detail when positioning the film on even the front Grill area of an SUV. It was going to take about 1-1/2 days to complete. We heard back in the late afternoon the next day so we told them we'd pick it up the next morning. When I picked up my car, there was a female rep helping me out behind the counter and I think she was being cross-trained but was very thorough. She also gave me a free Detail Spray with Microfiber Cloth kit. After explaining the warranty & paying, the original rep walked out with us to see the car. We looked at the seams, detail, checked under the hood, looked if there were any bubbles or imperfections. He said if there were any imperfections or bubbles that we notice, that we could just call and notify them. We wouldn't have to make an appointment. He reiterated how to take care of the car with the film coating & explained that brushless car washes are recommended because the brushes on regular car washes can damage the coating as well as your paint. Plus the brushes pick up other dirt from other grimy vehicles like trucks and can transfer them to your car. Good to know. He mentioned the other services again and mentioned that the Window Tints & how it minimizes heat esp. in the hot Texas summers. We were impressed at the work and in the coming days/weeks/months will monitor how it wears and if we see any imperfections.
