I came to Tint One on August 12th to get my windshield tinted. This was my second time coming to Tint One. The first time, I didn't have any major issues other than having to sit in an uncomfortable chair while waiting for my service to be completed.
However, the same night after getting my windshield tinted, I noticed that my automatic headlights were no longer turning on. I immediately called Tint One the next day and informed them that my automatic lights were not working and that I had never experienced this issue prior to my visit.
The owner told me to let the car sit in the sun to possibly dry out for 48hrs any liquid that may have gotten into the headlight sensor during the tint installation. After 48 hours, the issue was still happening. At first, the owner tried to make it seem like the sensor could have already been damaged before my visit, but said he would have a mechanic look at it.
I went back to Tint One, and their mechanic inspected the issue and confirmed that my headlight sensor was damaged because it had been drenched with solution/water during the tint installation.
While they were inspecting the damage they caused, somehow my backup camera also stopped working. They claimed they didn't know what happened, but considering it was working perfectly before I brought my car in, you can draw your own conclusions. Thankfully, my backup camera started working again about two miles after leaving Tint One.
I was told that the damaged part would be ordered and should arrive within one to two weeks. The owner originally told me the part should arrive around August 19th or 20th. That date came and went, and I received no updates.
I eventually called Tint One again to ask about the status of the part because it was well past the date I was originally given. I asked for a tracking number, but they couldn't provide one. At that point, it became clear to me that the part had not even been ordered when they originally told me it would be.
What really doesn't make sense is that I checked Amazon myself, the same day i spoke with tint one and the same part could have been delivered much sooner. Yet, when I called Tint One, I was given another estimated arrival date of September 19th or 20th. The math simply wasn't mathing.
Then, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, Tint One finally called me and told me they had received the part. We agreed on a specific day and time for me to come in. On the day of the appointment, I called ahead, but their phone line was going straight to voicemail. I still drove to Tint One at the agreed-upon time, only to find the business closed with no one there.
Now it's Monday afternoon, and do you think anyone has contacted me to apologize or resolve this situation? Absolutely not.
As a Black man, I genuinely love supporting Black-owned businesses, which makes this experience even more disappointing. But I am 100% annoyed, disappointed, and disgusted by the lack of communication and professionalism from Tint One.
To make matters even worse, the actual tint job this time around was horrible. There are bubbles all along the bottom of my windshield tint.
I have tried to be patient and give this business the opportunity to fix the damage they caused, but the constant delays, lack of communication, missed appointment, and poor-quality work have been extremely frustrating.
I would not recommend this location based on my experience.
