Reading them, you would think the doctor just punches people in the mouth and sends them home. That was not my experience. There was a wait when I went there, but that didn't bother me at all. I have yet to go to a dentist office in my entire life where I have walked in an seen the dentist at my appointment time. IT. HAS. NEVER. HAPPENED. Folks complaining about that aren't being honest at all. Not saying its ok, but it pretty much happens at every office. My appointment was at 930a, I got called for X-Rays at 1010a. You know what I did in the waiting time, pulled out my phone and scrolled on IG, and watched Netflix. There was some issue with the X-Ray machine, and the dental assistant did have some problems getting my x-rays; however she explained to me the problem, and they were able to get it fixed. I wish I could remember the name of the dentist who cleaned my teeth because she was AMAZING. A beautiful black woman with glasses, was amazingly gentle with my teeth and cleaning. We shared a few laughs and talked about our backgrounds. One of the dental assistants even came in to put Vaseline on my lips prior to the cleaning, which helps to keep my lips moisturized while my mouth was open. After she finished, the main dentist came in to check her work and ask if I had any issues or questions, and that was it. I rode a bike home and was very happy. I will be back.

I overheard a lady being told that her caps would not be covered by her insurance. This was much to…read moreher surprise as she was told differently prior. They told her that only the silver caps would be paid for, and they were her front teeth. These people are the type to do something un needed to a tooth then tell you, you need to fix the tooth they ruined, and it has to happen today or there is no way you're going to survive, type of deal. Scare tact's are used and intimidation by using health problems or complications as manipulation.

He referred me to get a CT scan and found that I had resorption that had made a big hole in my tooth. I was so thankful for his help and being a good dentist who actually listens to his patients. It has been many years for me to have the trust and reliability that I have for this Dentist, when…read morevisiting a dentist prior to seeing this Dr. I would shutter and actually deny myself the visit for the fear I held as I would always feel the pain and grab as the pain worsened within me. More often than not , appointments would be canceled because of the horror I would feel in that chair each time . I can truly say; Dr. Schiavone has cured my fears and has given me strength to visit when the need arises, he has ALWAYS explained the proceedures to me BEFORE proceeding , reassuring me as he proceeded and even then, explained to me each and every movement as he worked on my much needed "mouthful of a mess" !
