That was so NICE! Toby was clean and happy to see me! They even gave him a bath! Helen said that she always watches for tail wagging. Helen and I had a nice conversation. She's really lovely, and truly LOVES dogs. She's very concerned about their health and happiness. I appreciate the fact that she won't just take any dog for boarding without knowing about vet visits, shots, etc, and prefers dogs that she sold. When I arrived, there were larger dogs playing outside, in a fenced area. Toby was waiting for me with his raincoat, toy, and hoodie all bagged up. Helen showed me the outside play area for small dogs, and told me that Toby had been playing with her Maltese, Sophie. I met Sophie :) Then Helen showed me the puppy room. OMG!!! So many absolutely adorable puppies, including Shih Tzus like Toby! I saw poodle puppies exactly like my brother's family dog. Everything that I saw was very clean, and the dogs and puppies looked healthy and well-cared for. I read the bad reviews. I like Helen. I think that if she doesn't want someone to have a dog, she has a reason. My brother's family has had their puppy for about a year now, and he's perfectly healthy. Noisy, but healthy. Helen did advise me about a group of basically criminals (HSUS), which includes people convicted of sexual harassment, embezzling, child sex trafficking, fraud, and racketeering. Interesting. They're supposed to be a humane society. So I wonder if possibly some of these reviews are perhaps not entirely accurate. But I can only speak to my own experience boarding Toby for 9 days, and my brother's family dog.

Unfortunately, Ms. Camlakides has proven to be much more like the person portrayed in those reports than the person I had hoped she would be. My advice is to find another breeder or kennel for your own peace of mind.

They also have a dog named Max who is playful, healthy and you can tell is very loved and cared for. When I purchased my Frenchie from Diego he was well nourished and full of energy. Since purchasing my frenchie, he has been great health wise and playful with other dogs. I have no regrets buying my frenchie from them and I highly recommend bulldogs of Long Island!! One Testicle would not drop. Nuetered ( planned on it anyways) with extra work for nondescending testicle. Archie fine and we took him everywhere the first year. After first year, he became aggressive & anxious whenever I tried to leave. He would get excited & nip me if I attempted to leave. Had to literally fight him to leave. Fine when I came home. He would get excited whenever I tried to separate from his presence. Tried crating him but he became wild whenever we tried to crate him. He was like a wild animal. Stopped trying to crate. Tried gates but whatever the barrier, the point of separation triggered this aggressive behavior. Tried trainer who diagnosed resource guarding & I the resources. Whenever repairmen came to home, had to strategically plan how to separate from him. He bit me 4 times . Girlfriend loved him and showed him kindness. She was petting him one time and somehow triggered him to be aggressive towards girlfriend . Bit her in arm. Loved him notwithstanding all this. To protect him. No more visitors to my home & I didn't take him to anything social where episode may occur. Changed my life to protect him. Lovable when no triggers. Eventually became controllable when I wound leave him. He would chew a broom head to assuage his anxiety. Continued controlled environment & livable as long as I avoided triggering events. At 8 diagnosed with a cancer on 4/10/24. Just this past Tuesday, 8/20:24, let him go as he was suffereing. Miss him but relieved he never hurt my daughter or me seriously. Honestly, when he became aggressive , it was frightening. My daughter learned Diego actually acquired Archie from a Florida breeder. People on reviews say not Diego's sister. I don't know. Been told Archie was aggressive due to bad breeding. I do not know. Bad breeding lead to cancer at 8 years old? Don't know! Just encourage Diego to be up front with people about origin of dogs he sells. Encourage customers to ask questions. Be informed. Glad we had 8 years with Archie, but challenging times t
