Mary and Dr. Kupferer are both kind and not rushed. Easier to be seen. We had a long wait one day, because Mary was out with Covid, but Dr. K made us feel like we were his only patients. I recommend this practice, as independent doctors, with their own family practice.

When I called to request an appointment…read morefor my sick husband I was bluntly informed that I had to come in and fill out paperwork before even being allowed to schedule an appointment, followed even more bluntly that doctor was not taking new patients if they needed opioids. I was then treated to the tale of how this woman's son and grandson both had curvature of the spine and her grandson is a wrestler. Meanwhile my husband is coughing so hard he's passing out. In spite of her rudeness I got my husband in the car and made the almost one hour drive to the office. I asked if there was a chance my husband could be seen that day she flippantly informed us that doctor wasn't even in the office. I commented that that would have been nice to know when I called. She quite derisively replied that I hadn't asked. I admit that in my frustration I snipped that I didn't realize I had to ask and turned to help my husband back to the car. On our way out she made sure we heard her sarcastic verbal parting shot, "Nice." It doesn't matter how wonderful the doctor may be when the office staff act as if they're doing you a favor by deigning to speak at you.

However, a recent event has changed our opinion of them and we will no longer be using their services or recommending them. Weeks ago, we had made reservations for our daughter and her friend to have a message done while they were visiting us from Chicago. On the day of the appointment, we traveled the 35 miles to their location only to find them closed. We called the number and just got a recording. The next day we did receive a call from them wanting to know if we wanted to reschedule the prior day's appointment?! Why didn't they call us before the appointment!!! It would have saved us the travel time and we could have planned something else. We will never go back to then.

I wasn't happy with my current situation, and I've always had a good experience with her, so why not? In 34 years, I've never had such a detailed cleaning. She not only cleaned, but walked me through everything and explained why and what was being done. Checking on me periodically and so thorough. After I was finished, obviously the doctor came in and spoke with me. Well, articulated, pointed out things that we would watch that weren't necessarily a concern, but could be in the future. Again, explained everything very thoroughly. Front office experience was great too. Had a couple hangups with the paperwork, but they helped walk me through it. Everything about this place so far has been incredible, and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. My only complaint is, that I didn't come here sooner.
