The doctors here are amazing. I'm new to the area and hadn't gone to the eye doctor in forever. I'm a new mom ( 7 month old ) and had to bring him with me to the appointment. I was really nervous taking him with me, but the Dr made me super comfortable. I explained my concerns with vision and he made me feel at ease. UPDATE 7/25: They took my advice and now sanitized, and had available cleaning wipes for the equipment, or wiped them down before use. Now I have to worry less about pink eye, or some other eye sickness being transferred. From there to five stars! Good job! read more

I went to get glasses and they took forever to see the doctor. I made an appointment too. Then the guy tells me to sit tight while he gets everything set up. I sit there for 30 mins until the assistaint ask me why I'm sitting there and that I can leave. Pisspoor pathetic read more

I will begin by saying I have been going to this office since I was a child. The doctors here are a husband and wife team are amazing. Love, love, love them. However, their staff is absolutely terrible. I know several people who have had an issue with their staff, but my experience the other day did it in for me. After arriving for my eye appointment, the lady at the front desk told me she accidentally scheduled me for the wrong time, and that she had already given my appointment away to another patient, even though it was only a ten minute difference. She then proceeded to tell me that I couldn't be there anyways because I had brought my newborn. I understand that everyone has their own COVID rules, but the way she handled it was unprofessional. My husband is deployed, and I don't have anyone to look after my baby. Not only that, but he's a NEWBORN. I've never been given a hard time for having him with me. When I tried to reschedule my appointment she told me I had to sit outside in the cold to fill out my paperwork because I "didn't listen to the rules". I don't need to be "punished" for having a new baby that isn't old enough to be watched by someone else, and relies on me to eat. And I'm certainly not sitting outside in the cold with a new baby. I called the doctor later that day and let her know how rude their staff is, and never got the returned phone call I was promised. Other people I know who have tried to make an appointment with them have called for weeks without anyone picking up the phone or calling back to make an actual appointment. I wish the doctors here had not sold their practice to Clarkson Eye Care. It's probably because they sold their business to another company that they can't reign in their own shitty staff. I have a lot of family and a couple friends who have been loyal to this office, but they, along with myself, will now take our business elsewhere. A business is only as good as it's staff. read more

The two people at checkin were vastly different. The man who did the covid temp check was kind. There was a confrontational Individual in the room, however Dr John Michael Cummings was great and made up for the cold encounter. He explained his reasoning for eye-care selections and took care of my eye concerns. They offered a new option for retinal exam at $35, this method did not require dilation. I hope it will be included in exam price soon. He set me up with new contacts that settled in and work great right way. Dr Cummings was informative, thoughtful and patient. The lady doing fitting and pricing was willing to work with me to get the best economical offer. I was a little surprised that they did not give me a starter contact solution and case, but maybe at pickup they will??? Over all it was a decent experience. read more

My daughter's first time at Clarkson and we were completely at home and impressed with everyone from reception, to technicians to Dr. Laura Cummings. Everyone was very friendly and professional. Dr. Cummings was very personable and easy to talk to about any concerns. Convenient Milton location was a big plus too. Will definitely be back with the rest of the kids. Very friendly staff, knowledgable techs and doctor. I did not feel rushed through the exam and the doctor was great about explaining to me what was going on with my eyes. The tech afterwards that helped me pick out my new glasses was very helpful and patient as I tried on several pairs. The office was neat and tidy and very welcoming! read more

Wonderful doctors... Wonderful staff. You can find larger offices with more selections for eyewear but you will miss out on a wonderful caring crew who really goes beyond to make sure your needs are met and your vision needs a priority. You can't go wrong coming here with your whole family. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Be ware if you use this business. The front office staff is terrible, but the staff in the rear seems to be ok. They make promises that they will not keep. Sure they say that they will make things right. I do not like progressive glasses and have tried several times in the past. The staff pressures you and uses car saleman tactics and makes promises that they simply will NOT keep. Things like, "Try progressive lens. Things have changed a lot. If you don't like them, we will make it right." Sounds great until you need them changed. When I returned, I was told sure, we will make you a single vision prescription, but we will not refund the over $250.00 difference in lens. You would be better off just to buy a new set of glasses. Kind of like the undercoating on a new car deal. Then I say maybe the prescription is wrong. Without even checking the front staff, says nope its right. Horrible, horrible place to do business. My shadow will never darken their door again. No one will listen to your complaint. Avoid at all costs. read more
