Prices for contacts or glasses are noticeably less than I had been paying at Clarkson Eyecare…read more Frame selection is less varied but I had no trouble finding some I liked. If the eye doctor changes your prescription after you get the glasses, they will redo them free. Glasses came back promptly after ordered. Beware, however of two things. First, the optical area is ALWAYS understaffed for the number of customers, so expect to wait 30-60 minutes every time you visit. This means you will be helped by a staff person who is hurried and under pressure, with five or more people waiting for you to finish. They have no "line" or even "take a number" system, so you have no idea how long the line actually is. Second, every optical retailer I'm aware of is willing to exchange unopened boxes of contacts if your prescription changes. Not Costco! I purchased contacts in September of 2019. Dr. Steele changed my prescription in February of 2020. I had two boxes of contacts (approx $200) in the old prescription (with an expiration date on the box of 2024) and Costco refused to exchange them because my original contact prescription (NOT my purchase) was more than 12 months old. Happily, I found out 1800Contacts has prices that are better than Costco and they were willing to take back the contacts I purchased AT Costco(!) and fill my new prescription with that credit.....and they were far faster, friendlier, and competent. My advice is that the "savings" isn't worth the hassle, the lack of customer service, and the more restrictive approach to exchanges of contacts.

It would be one thing if they got you in right away and he left in that scenario but when have you ever saw the eye doctor in the first ten mins of your visit? Never. We had an appointment on a Saturday at 4PM. We understand they close early and that's fine but don't tell us that we're able to get a pair of trial contacts to get by before glasses come in but won't give them to us because a doctor has to see us put them in and out...told us at the beginning. And at the end the male manager said he wouldn't give it to us since the doctor has to see...well that's a total lie. We went to a different location on Monday and a doctor did not see us at all while getting and putting contacts in. Hmmm sounds like the manager at the Lindbergh location was just plain lazy and wanted to get out of there since everyone else was leaving. Again, I understand they close early on saturdays but don't say something then change your mind at the end since everyone took so long. We will never come back to this establishment ever again. Full of lies and do not care about their customers.

Had a broken pair of glasses that were only a few months old. One of the arms just fell off. No fault of anyone. Put them on a side table, picked them up and the arm came clean off the frame. No break. Took two weeks and 2 days to get them back, after being told a week. I finally called and magically they had just come in that day. Picked them up about an hour after I called them. Then about three weeks after that, they broke again, this time we realized that while they broke in the same spot, they were different frames. Okay great. They had replaced the glasses, not fixed them. So back to Rosen to get them fixed again. Not a break, they had fallen apart. After several minutes I was told that the charge to repair would be over 100 dollars. Really? They had already been repaired once. I feel like they lied to me about the first fix. I feel like they had the frames in stock and when I called they put his lenses in a new pair because they had not been repaired in the two weeks before I finally called them, then when the new ones broke, (totally different style "arm"), they wanted to charge me over 100 bucks to fix them. I asked for a copy of the prescription, took a couple of minutes and left. Went to another optometrist the same day, they fixed the glasses while we waited and gained three new patients. No charge btw. I would not recommend Rosen to anyone, ever. Oh and we weren't crazy about them after the visit in January as the optician who "helped" with trying on frames didn't say more then ten words to us and made my grandson uncomfortable and feeling rushed. Husband and I had planned on all using the same eye doc and we are, but it is NOT Rosen. 8 star docs, 3 star staff, 0 star customer service. Plenty of other choices out there!

I have a difficult prescription, and they've been extremely helpful and accommodating in trying to get me in the right frames and contacts. I've been super happy with all my visits here! I just keep coming back. Good selection of frames. Multiple doctors with specialty backgrounds, including high prescriptions. Good parking. Easy online of phone scheduling, including some after business hours options. All staff I've worked with have been great, friendly, helpful, caring, knowledgeable. That says it all!

I made it equally clear that my situation has changed and I was ready to purchase new lenses and follow proper care moving forward. Instead of working with me, the doctor made an assumption about my future behavior and refused to fit me for contacts or provide trial lenses at all. There was no effort to discuss options, no attempt to find a safe path forward, just a blanket refusal based on a past circumstance I had already addressed. The outcome is exactly what any responsible provider should want to avoid: I left without updated lenses and am still using old ones. Being honest about a prior hardship resulted in being denied care, which is both dismissive and counterproductive to patient health. I would strongly caution others about this experience. I could not recommend this doctor under any circumstances!

We had the pleasure of knowing Dr McReynolds for about 10 years. Then lost touch with her when she moved to another practice. Then when we lived in Kirkwood and found out she had opened up West County Vision we were happy to have her close by again. She took care of all our family optician needs during our stay in Kirkwood. She is friendly, thorough, knowledgeable and compassionate. The office staff and optician will make sure you find the right pair of glasses that best suits you. We have never felt rushed, they take the time to get to know you and your family. West County Vision reminds me of that small town practice that knows their patients. Check them out, you'll be glad you did. (Full disclosure, we no longer live in the area)

It's definitely one of the most thoughtfully managed medical-related groups our family has used, and Dr. McReynolds stands above any optometrist we've met over the course of multiple-state relocations. The St. Louis/Kirkwood area is fortunate to have such a great resource.
