They are knowledgeable, kind, communicative, and genuinely have your best interests at heart which are qualities you want in anyone handling your money and business needs. They're reliable and consistently go the extra mile to ensure you feel supported. Every request I had was handled promptly, leaving me feeling secure and confident. Brian's practice is guided by excellent values, and his accounting firm is a prime example of why I love living in Chicago. It shows that people here take care of each other, remember what's truly important, and maintain strong ethics in everything they do.

When I raised the issue, Danny Roseth responded with a long justification about how busy he is -- including being "up since 5 in the morning," having "80 emails" he "hasn't had a second to look at," and that his normal response time is "2-3 days." I'm sure he's busy, but if that's the standard expectation for responsiveness before you even become a client, it's an easy pass for me. I was looking for a tax advisor who has the capacity to take on new clients and communicate in a timely, consistent way -- without needing to justify delays as an unavoidable "feature" of the business that clients should simply accept. I don't. update If you look at Danny's comments, what's missing? Accountability. Not we could have done better. Not an awareness that communication takes two parties. Instead, calling me an internet troll. Making me the problem. In 35 years, every client was happy? What company has a perfect record? Perfection is a goal. Not reality. But I guess I'm an internet troll. I don't recall any name calling.

There were many hidden charges and they charge for every single e-mail and call. My personal taxes turned out to be almost 8 times (!!!) more expensive than my new CPAs. I really don't think they are worth the cost (over $2000 for a relatively simple tax return. I say simple because my last two accountants who did the returns, said they were simple and charged only $400). With the new tax law, I'm probably better off with a software program off the shelf.
