We thought we had finally found a legitimate place with Clark Hearing. So much so, that driving 45 minutes to a hour was worth it. Unfortunately, it ended up being a rip off. Makes me wonder if this is their business model, suck you in with a great deal then ultimately screw you?! There has even been a 60 minutes exposing the greed of many audiologist and hearing aide companies. Yesterday my husband drove a hour to get his hearing aid fixed. Even though it was under the year warranty and no surprise, they provide zero paperwork, they still charged him $1000 to have it fixed! Michelle was HORRIBLE with absolutely ZERO customer service. He had his other hearing aid fixed about a month before, and that was $450. He called beforehand letting them know he was coming and what for. They could have at least saved him a trip and told him it was going to be $1000. Do not go here. If anybody knows of an actual real reputable audiologist who doesn't partake in abuse of people with disabilities, please let us know. Tis the season?

I had a hearing test at another facility with another company and it was not a pleasant experience…read morenot was it feasible to get assistance with them. It almost turned me away from getting the help that I need and rely upon a still non-existent VA appointment. I took a chance on a card I received in the mail from New Sound in the Woodlands. I am so glad I did. Kelly was a true understanding professional who did a complete hearing assessment, gave me detailed information and personal attention. After finding out that I could finance them for a whole year at 0% and that my insurance would cover $2000 of the total cost. It was a done deal. Kelly did a custom fit and custom adjustment that fit my hearing loss perfectly. I have had my hearing aids for a week now and it has been such a revelation of the depth of my hearing loss that I am ecstatic about the things I can hear now. I hear birds singing when I walk to my mailbox, I can hear my turn signal ticking in the car, I hear the faint beeping countdown on my alarm when I walk in the house not to mention not disturbing my neighbors when I watch TV because I can hear it at normal volumes. My wife does not have to yell at me to get me to understand what she is saying. I no longer have to stand idly by while people in my group hold conversations because I can now hear what they are saying. I can go to the movies and theater and enjoy the performances without saying, "What did they say?" to my wife. I can fully recommend New Sound Hearing in the Woodlands for complete, professional, and courteous care when it comes to helping with a hearing loss. Both Williams were amazing and incredibly helpful, and the entire staff was professional, organized, and attentive. What really stood out to me was the level of personal service. From the follow-up calls when I first scheduled my appointment, to being given Dr. Ben's personal cell phone number in case I had any concerns, to the personal phone call from William before the procedure, every detail was handled extremely well. The entire office is truly dialed in. You can tell a tremendous amount of time and effort has gone into building a team that works together so well and consistently provides such a high level of care and service. I ended up getting a second opinion and cancelling my procedure. He also kept pushing the Inspire implant even though I had just started using a CPAP without any issues and it seems like Inspire is typically considered a second-line or alternative treatment meant for those who cannot tolerate or benefit from CPAP.

Overpriced, unqualified, and unprofessional, bad experience from a shoddy, little company…read more 1. Overpriced because they're 2/3 MORE than my doctor's second referral for comparable equipment, with much worse service. 2. Unqualified because: a) the alleged respiratory therapist who called me unexpectedly was unfamiliar with the controls of the CPAP device that her own company provided; b) she was unfamiliar with the industry-standard functionality behind those controls (reducing flow during exhalations); c) This person wasn't even listening in the first half of the call, ignoring my words such as "quite a bit of bloody mucus" and "hurt too much to leave on more than 20 minutes" - just no response at all, only silence. I know multi-tasking when I hear it. d) In the second half of the call, she merely read word-for-word the cleaning instructions I'd already been provided; e) She never mentioned my sleep test, therapy goals and metrics, how the data would be used. She left me with no next steps other than "your doctor's office will be in touch". (My new provider assigned follow-up person and made sure I understood the timetables for a true therapy program, not just a machine delivery.) 3. Unprofessional because: a) they first scheduled me on a day when the company doesn't work (Friday), no choice for the patient. b) The alleged therapist dismissed it with "that wouldn't have happened because I don't work on Fridays". Better response would have been "I'm sorry that happened and I took you by surprise, I'll look into that." c) The phone staff let me die on five minutes hold waiting for a supervisor, then refused to answer when I re-dialed. Their phones ring for a solid two minutes before the answering machine comes on, meaning they intentionally discourage callers.
