Please ensure that you review any sales agreement carefully…read more When speaking to sales, I indicated that I would like to negotiate a lower interest rate. He had to speak to management first, then great news we have approved a 3.99% rate for you. Went through the remainder of the sales process. I had to ask for a copy of my sales receipt, this was not given freely. When I reviewed it, they had added $2,300 to the cost of the car to "buy down" the interest rate. Instead of telling me the interest rate comes from head office and is not negotiable, they tried to hide it in the purchase agreement and clearly they don't like customers reviewing the invoice too closely. I cancelled the sale, got my deposit back and went to a different dealership. I think I should have read the reviews before I started there, this seems to be common practice at Clarington Hyundai. Buyer beware at this dealership.

Recently purchased the 2025 palisade from this dealership. I purchased a BRAND NEW vehicle and yet…read morethe seat came damaged. I told them while purchasing and they said they would replace it. They did.. WITH ANOTHER DAMAGED SEAT. When I showed them the damaged prior to leaving the dealership they said "we don't have enough palisade seats on site to replace it so go through Hyundai Canada". Also, somehow they are selling brand new cars without the mats because Hyundai apparently sends them separately. So what am I supposed to use in the meantime when my kids are going to drag in mud and dirt from all the rain and winter like conditions we are having in April. I can't even return the car apparently because I would have loved to go to another dealer at this point. ABSOLUTELY the worst car experience I've EVER had. Would not recommend. Take your money elsewhere. I bet Honda or Toyota which are on the same street would not treat their customers like this. They ruined the entire experience of buying a new car.

Response from service manager when I complained: You said,…read more 'The charge for the actuator should never have happened because the tech should have CONFIRMED it was the actuator before replacing it, that's basic trade practice" verification or confirmation of this is DIAGNOSIS, which you declined, PROPER diagnosis would have eliminated any guesswork. When your appointment was booked by Greg, he suggested Diagnosis, as did Scott in parts. Re the wiring repair, our Licensed/GM trained technician, following GM procedure for a "broken pin", where a service terminal is not available, will have no alternative other than to replace the harness, hence the replacement quote you were given for the harness. If the PIN WAS BROKEN I wouldn't have been able to fix the issue myself, they aligned their stories as not once did I say no to DIAGNOSIS as the part was ordered as a contingency so it was on hand. They failed to do their job and take no responsibility

Terrible experience with a sales rep!…read more Stay away from sales rep Shelby Keefer! Went in to look at a car, and knew from the first impression something was off with this guy. He came across as very condescending and, well, just fake. You could tell he wasn't listening when I talked to him, and he knew what I wanted "better" than I did. I dont think so, bud. Just another typical salesman, but that wasn't all... I overheard him talking trash about people behind their backs: other customers, local business people, etc.. in Bowmanville. If you want to get a sale in my town then you better show respect. Dont recommend.

This dealer really does live up to the old stereotype of the "used car salesman", even when selling…read morenew cars. The sales agent will say anything to make the sale, being dishonest about features the car may or may not have or claiming they don't sell a certain brand of winter tire in order to make the bonus sale for pushing a particular brand. When it comes to servicing, despite making an appointment for a specific time, they have no intention of actually servicing your car then. No, this is just an appointment to "drop off" your car, and they'll get round to it sometime during the day when it suits them. Be prepared to wait for many hours for what should be a simple and quick service. When you complain, the salesmen promise to make things right, until it actually comes to making it right. Then they deny ever offering to help you and will reluctantly let you speak with a manager. A manager that will either tell you he can't do anything, or to take your complaint to GM head office. If you do take you complaint to GM, they refuse to help you saying you have to speak with the dealership. We've had nothing but dishonest and disrespectful treatment from Ontario Motor Sales, and consequently will never buy from them again.
