Clandeboye Park is home to the illustrious Bangor Football club it has been home of Bangor since 1935 and like most football grounds has seen some great days as well as some bad ones. The ground has an excellent history with it also hosting go-karting in the mid 60's.
Bangor Football Club are currently in the IFA championship one which is the second tier of Northern Irish football. Bangor's glory days were in the mid 90's were they won the Irish cup and Clandeboye Park hosted UEFA Cup ties. I have fond memories of Clandeboye Park as I spent many Saturday afternoons of my youth cheering on the "Seasiders". Clandeboye Park used to generate an excellent atmosphere especially when local rivals Ards or the big two from the Northern Irish Premiership come to visit..
You can purchase a seaside ticket to Bangor Football Club or you can get tickets on match days. These days it is unlikely that Clandeboye park will sell out. But I would recommend taking in a game at Clandeboye Park as the club has a real family feel and some hardcore fans who actually know their football. read more
