Friels interior has a lovely old pub feel with two bars ( hopping on weekends ), a fireplace, wooden benches. Comfy and cozy. It is well known as a venue for traditional Irish music. When we were there on a winter Thursday, three musicians came in to play, as much for their own enjoyment, as for everyone else. Great ! The pub is run by the charming Jonny and his father. Make no mistakes about it, this woman pours a fine drink, dishes out the best craic, and has some of the best insults to spare in County Clare.
