Anastasia was BEYOND welcoming and warm. I felt seen and felt like a valued client. She was helping another couple at the time but made sure to greet me as I walked in with a smile and asked if I need any support choosing a piece ... and not in a pushy/condescending manner but with genuine, earnest support and friendliness. The other stores/restaurants in this area could use an Anastasia.... This is my sixth stay in the area and the very FIRST time that part from the awesome hotel I stay at, I didn't feel that I wasn't welcome. Thank you Anastasia... I will be back! Also it's an outdoor mall so you have to deal with the elements. There's little available parking but usually there's some that's far away from any stores. A lot of fancy ass places are here. It makes sense because it's in Burr Ridge, and those rich people need to go shopping. The mall has most of the popular trendy stores, and some others to help make it more unique. Among these are Barbara's Books. However there's a lot of clothing stores for women. About all there is almost. There's places like Bath & Body Works and Topaz. It has a pretty nice outdoor area. There's a greenway with a fireplace and seating around it. Getting here by car is about the only way, and it makes for headaches. It sucks parking. There's never any open spaces in front of the stores, so you have to go far away to find these.

Then finally, as she was processing my return, she said I have to give her my phone number, email and address in order to finalize the return. I said no, you don't need that information. Then she smirks at me and says, I'm sorry, but we won't be able to do the return then. Really? You need all of this information to make a return? I called another location (Oak Brook) and asked if the above "policy" about returns was valid. She said absolutely not. We only ask that if you want to be on our mailing list (for catalogs) and receive special offers through your email.

I was in dire need for an evening dress for a special occasion, with absolutely no time to shop. It was near closing time and I desperately called and asked what time they were closing, if I could make it in.....they quickly answered and said "come on in, we'll get some dresses ready for you, what size are you?" I was working out across the street and made it 10 min before close...it was the only opportunity to try on a dress. I showed up and these ladies had 8 dresses, with shawls, shoes and accessories waiting for me in the dressing room. Amazing service in such short notice. They never made me feel rushed and it was their mission to make me feel comfortable with what I was trying on. Such great service! I felt like a million bucks!

Absolutely Inexcusable Treatment -- Walgreens Hinsdale (Willowbrook Road)…read more I recently visited this Walgreens to refill a critical eye drop prescription for my advanced eye disease. This isn't a casual medication -- missing doses risks irreversible vision loss. I called ahead at noon, spoke directly with a technician, confirmed they had my drops in stock, and was assured one would be held for me. I confirmed twice. My doctor also called earlier to make sure everything was set. I arrived promptly at 7:15 PM, only to be told they had nothing on hand. I patiently explained that I had spoken to someone earlier, gave my name (Lee Robinson), and asked them to check. For 30 minutes, I waited while they attempted to reach the technician I had spoken with. Understandably, mistakes happen -- but what unfolded next was unacceptable. For the next 45 minutes, I begged for help identifying any nearby location that could fill my prescription tonight. Instead of providing clear answers, the staff simply rattled off Walgreens locations without providing addresses or verifying inventory. When I asked which stores were open late, they vaguely pointed me to a few -- but again, no real help, just dismissive answers as if I was interrupting their evening. At no point did anyone -- especially the head pharmacist, Tanya -- show even basic empathy or urgency. I wasn't treated like a patient, or even a human being. I was treated like an inconvenience. Tanya repeatedly ignored my questions, avoided eye contact, and carried on with other refills while I stood there desperately trying to ensure I wouldn't miss my medication. Walgreens -- you are in healthcare. People don't come to you for fun. We come because our health depends on you doing your job. I didn't choose to have a disease that steals my sight. I didn't choose to rely on these drops to stay alive, functional, and able to see my kids grow up. But your staff made it abundantly clear that my situation wasn't important enough to warrant even minimal effort. The complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic human decency displayed here was disgusting. Walgreens, you should be ashamed. I will never return to this location.

I recently retired and have more time on my hands and have been 'shopping the sale items' to save money and for fun. Since I now have time to go to other stores, I've noticed that Brookhaven's produce section is not the best. Lots of less than fresh items still for sale in their produce aisles as well as past due expiration dates on some of their dairy. Their prices are higher than other stores for many items, and many of the items shown on sale in the flyer on their own website, are not on sale when you get to the store. I would not recommend this store, and suggest if you do shop here to check the expiration dates and check your receipt to assure that you received the sale prices. Now that I'm paying more attention, I'm treating this store like a convenience store and not doing my full shopping here.
