If I could give zero stars I would. Rich and his wife took the worst pictures possible, and were completely unprofessional. They also ate my moms dinner so she ended up not getting what she had ordered. They didn't even ask - they just took food and drinks that were clearly not for them. Please don't make the mistake of using this company for your wedding (or any important event). You will regret it. My wedding photos are all awful and I'm sincerely heartbroken that I don't have even one good picture to remember the day. read more

Rich and Dasha were fantastic! We hired them for my son's wedding and couldn't be more happy with their service. They were especially attentive to our large family who could be difficult at times. Rich and Dasha made the entire day less stressful and they photos were nothing short of AMAZYING! They managed to capture the entire event in beautiful photos. They arrived early and stayed past the agreed time ( without charging us) in order to capture the cake cutting which ran 45 minutes late. We highly recommend them. Their prices were fair and reasonable. Our friends also used them for their engagement and wedding photos and were very happy with everything. read more

I have just about had it with this company! In fact, I know I've had it! I am so fed up! Normally I don't spend my time giving bad reviews, but this company has just been atrocious! It's been a nightmare working with them. First, I get notification in September (6 months after the wedding) that my pictures are ready to be put together in an album, so we go and do all that stuff, and we even spend extra money to get additional photos put in the album. In the meantime, they decided to close their Delaware office, but they don't inform anyone who had outstanding items with them. In fact, I was given a one day notice to pick up my discs, and they didn't even have the correct amount of discs, although BELIEVE ME They took the payment for them. They had to burn an additional copy last minute. Literally the last night they were open. I am not kidding. I also approved my album back in October. And then on my Wedding Anniversary (March 15th) they asked me to approve it again. A Full year. A FULL YEAR. They said they had to "Make some changes." What is that? It's been 5 months since I first approved it and they didn't look at it at all!? Then today I got a call telling me to pay the remaining balance of $315 and then they will ship me my album. Finally. But I'm sure it's only after the scathing email I sent them about having to approve it again. The best part though? I already paid everything! In fact I had to pull up my bank statements to make sure I had, and sure enough the extra money I had spent back in September $315.00 to be exact, was on my account! I called them back and I will print my bank statement that says "Clair Pruett Studios" if I have to! But they apparently didn't keep any records from the Delaware office. It's like they have no clue how to run a business or keep any financial records! I also have NO IDEA where my video is at! And apparently they only have one high def machine to work on or some such nonsense. I should also note, the photographer was a jerk and the pictures were weird. Even the woman helping me put the album together thought the pics were weird. The best pictures I have are from the photo journalist, so thank goodness I paid extra for her. Those were about all I had worth framing. I don't have a time machine so there isn't much I can do about the actual formal photos. I just know not to use them again, basically. Which is sad, because at the end of the day, all you have is some photos to capture those special moments. When your spending thousands of dollars to capture your special day, you shouldn't be treated like this. What an awful awful company. Do not use them. Rich charged us all of our money one month before the wedding which was $1,900 and when wedding could not happen due to Covid 19 would not refund any of the money after being contacted many, many times during the crisis. Says they have no money and will go out of business. So do not send them any money if they remain in business because I do not think it is appropriate to take that much money from a couple and then give no services and not give any of the money back!!!! We used Clair Pruett for our wedding. There were some minor hiccups with the process that the previous reviewer mentioned -we also had trouble selecting the photographer we wanted. Based on the website we had a few picked out but none were available on our date. Not a huge deal. We settled on one photographer and had a chat and suddenly Clair Pruett changed the photographer assigned to us without telling us until a week or so before the wedding. Again, vacations come up, availability changes, but this was not handled well on their part. Now, we're more than one YEAR after our wedding and we STILL do not have our album. We did get a DVD of all photos, smaller parent albums, and the video, but not having our album after a year is completely unacceptable. We shouldn't be responsible for following up with the company and micro-managing them. We paid a lot of money -wedding photography isn't cheap- and expect to receive a product that will last us a lifetime, not a bigger headache trying to get something that we paid thousands of dollars for. read more

Below is an email correspondence between us and Clair Pruett. We wed in August of 2015 and received our Wedding Album from Clair Pruett in August of 2016. Since the email below was delivered to Clair Pruett, we have not heard from them, nor have been provided a resolution to the issue... We are the couple featured on "The Best of Philly Magazine" photo submitted by Clair Pruett. Congratulations to Clair Pruett, but the couple they featured in "Best of Philly" is extremely disappointed in their experience with the vendor - So disappointed we felt it necessary to share our experience Dasha, Thank you for providing us with the Wedding Album. I am trying to access the Wedding Approval Link to show our Change Requests because we feel that there are photos missing from the Final Approval that we made. We'd like to see the Audit Trail of the Change Requests because although you provided us with a Wedding Album, the Final Product doesn't reflect the Final Changes that we had approved. In addition, according to the Invoice of our Photography Package, we were allotted 80 Images in our Wedding Album and then we opted to upgrade to 90 Images. After our initial "disagreement", we'll call it, we asked to be refunded for the album and we would go our separate ways. You offered to refund us for the 90 Image Upgrade but include it in the Final Product to remedy the situation. This is all documented and agreed upon through an email thread. ... With a quick review/count of the Photos in the Album you provided us today, it only contains 64 Images. I thought we had agreed upon 90 Images... We have been extremely patient; even agreed to let you and Rich attempt to remedy the customer satisfaction issue while he berated us in an incredibly unprofessional way. Seems like that's a common occurrence with Rich acting unprofessionally towards customers - We have read through a number of Yelp Reviews, Facebook Reviews, theKnot.com, etc. We too, are on the verge of writing an unpleasant review to share our awful experience with interacting with Rich... That speaks volumes considering that our photo was selected to be the feature on "The Best of Philly" Magazine... I write to you, because I feel like you're much more reasonable to communicate with - Much like working with Laura and the other Photographer/Videographers we worked with. It is unfortunate that I have to look at this Final Product called our "Wedding Album" and feel displeased with the outcome - Both the quality and the experience in trying to have it meet the expectation we had set forth when we agreed to use your services for our wedding.... Is there a way to resolve this issue? I'm open to suggestions, however, I have little faith at this point that Clair Pruett will be able to deliver a pleasant resolution. We have documentation showing that the Final Product does not match the Invoice at which we paid. I had used Clair Pruett in the past and they were wonderful. I used them for my daughter's wedding. The cost was considerable but if the quality was good, it would have been worth it. The shots were poor, the quality of the prints were poor. They were unwilling to work with us to try to improve things. They were rude. They were a big disappointment read more

My wedding was on 10/9/2015. I called them the end of Feb/beginning of March to ask when my wedding video would be ready and left a voicemail. No return call, so I called again the following week and spoke with someone, and they said the video would be ready the end of March. I called last week and left a voicemail, didn't receive a return call, so I just called today (even though they are closed today; I left a voicemail). I have not heard anything from them and the video was supposed to be done like 3 weeks ago. I will change my review if I get communication from them and some kind of explanation. I don't know how long it should take for a wedding video, but so far, the lack of communication makes me question the professionalism of this company. I am upset the video seems to be taking long, but I would appreciate at least the courtesy of a phone call to update me on the process. Update on my review: after I called again and spoke with the videographer on April 20th, he said there were equipment issues, which I see in other reviews has been stated before. He saidI'd have the video within 12 days. Still no video. I can not recommend Clair pruett due to poor communication, being unprofessional & not delivering a product in a timely manner or when stated. read more

I recently used Clair Pruett as my wedding photographer. I decided on this company because a good friend used them and I really liked her album, combined with reasonable prices. The staff at Clair Pruett is very friendly and helpful. All my emails and phone calls were returned promptly and they are very easy to get in touch with. The one minor flaw was when I went to choose a photographer. I made my top few choices after researching their portfolios, just to find out they were no longer with the company or already booked. I feel that part of the website could have been updated. After that, it was suggested that I use Crissy as my photographer. I got to meet with her before the wedding and discuss details and guests I wanted photographed. She was very nice and easy going at the meeting, as well as on my wedding day. On my wedding day Crissy was prompt and arrived with an assistant, which is very helpful with catching extra photos and alternate angles. They were very laid back and allowed me to go to several locations for photographs. My proofs came back REALLY fast, in about 3 weeks which I was very pleased about. I haven't started creating my album yet, but I'm sure Clair Pruett will do beautiful work. read more

I signed up to Yelp JUST to post this review. PLEASE, DO NOT GO TO CLAIR PRUETT FOR YOUR WEDDING PHOTOS OR VIDEO! PLEASE DO NOT DO IT. SPEND THE MONEY ON REAL PROFESSIONALS!! I can't stress this enough. We had an absolutely catastrophic experience with these guys and we want to save anyone else from the HORRIBLE experience we had. They were the cheapest out there, but looking back we deeply regret spending a dime on our wedding photo/video with Clair Pruett. First off, multiple guests claimed that Rich looked really tired the day of our wedding like he barely slept. He comes into my home, and instead of taking photos of me (he took only a few HORRIFIC photos of me at my house with my bridesmaids/etc. with the sun glaring in our faces), he was in the dining room eating food with his wife!!! He claimed his wife was our 2nd photographer that we specifically paid for, when she barely took any photos. Did we pay them 4k to eat our food the morning of the wedding?! I clarified to them THREE TIMES the time/date/place of our venue and they called me the night before the wedding with the WRONG LOCATION, TIME, VENUE OF RECEPTION!! We had been working primarily with a lady named Sue Hitchens who was taking care of the paperwork/questions/secretary work, but suddenly she disappeared and Dasha started emailing me for payments when there was absolutely 0 communication at all about anything going on. MONEY HUNGRY is what they are. All they care about is your money - even after I complained multiple times, they just b.s. you and try to make you feel better, then ASK FOR MONEY. In multiple of our wedding shots, the videographer was in the way! They claim that they work well together and that was one of our selling points, but these guys had NO IDEA what to do!!! I don't want a video of myself walking down the aisle with my father and the VIDEOGRAPHER is IN THE WAY!!!!! The videographer promised our video 6 months after the wedding. After trying about a thousand times to reach him, Dasha finally answers and asks ME to try to reach out to HIM because THEIR OWN VIDEOGRAPHER DOESN'T RESPOND TO THEIR PHONE CALLS!!!!!!!!!! If I sound outraged in this, I have fulfilled my duty. I seriously seriously seriously CANNOT stress ENOUGH how disgusted I am with everything that has to do with Clair Pruett. These guys are AMATEURS. The photos they gave me had RED EYE, were BLURRED, the COMPOSITION WAS TERRIBLE, they got in each other's way, the COLOR was screwed up, literally everything!!!! I literally can say I had ***ONE*** single photo of myself and my husband that I half-liked out of THE ENTIRE DAY. I had zero of us with our bridal party. He only took ONE of us with our bridal party and it was guy/girl/guy/girl/etc then TWO GUYS. WTF - I mean seriously, can Rich even SEE the photos he's taking?! I had way better photos from my wedding from guests' CELL PHONES!!!!!! That's sad. Thank God we had an awesome wedding or else I'd be even more pissed off about the photos/video. The memories will last, but no thanks at all to Clair Pruett. I would have rather saved the 4k+ we spent and done anything else in the world with it. All of our guests said the photos were HORRIBLE, everyone agreed. Not a single person liked a single photo. AMATEUR WORK and Rich is the owner so we thought he'd be the best photographer to choose!! Unbelievable. I warned them of traditional things going on at the wedding that I NEED pictures of - nope. "Don't remember them happening" was our response, in both photo and video!! Oh and after I complained, their answer was, "omg really, but your wedding was featured on our facebook page" - they shared our photos on their facebook page WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION. Just writing about this is upsetting me right now. The ONE day we paid so much money for to capture the moments, the perfect weather, everything was perfect, but these guys f'ed it up so badly I can't even stand talking about the wedding photos/videos. PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BDFORE YOU GIVE THIS VENDOR YOUR $$$$ ! You WILL NOT have your album for AT LEAST 6 months AFTER you finalized your album pictures, design, etc. Do you really want to wait until AFTER your 1st anniversary before you get your pictures??? The video came 10 months later after many follow up phone calls. They cited a fire in a hard drive was to blame, but they had our data and this would take longer. The album is promised to their patrons within SIX MONTHS after finalization of the album. Here it it... 7 months later and no album. Clair Pruett stated "This is our TOP PRIORITY", but there is no date that has bee promised. We don't even have our wedding proofs yet! Who cares about professionalism and service when you can't get your product in a reasonable time.... or at all. This company is not worth your time or money. I was married on 6/6/14 and it took me nearly two years to get my video back. My account changed hands 3 times without my knowledge, and we had a huge issue where the company responsible for putting our album together ignored our change requests and then tried to charge us for the revisions. They put photos in the album out of sequence- and put important photos like parent dances in thumbnails on the bottoms of pages with totally unrelated photos like cake cutting or generic dancing videos. If the album is to tell a chronological story of the day- why would they place photos out of sequence? And if parents are so important in a wedding why would you take an image of my wife dancing with her father and relegate it to a thumbnail on a cake cutting page? When we asked this to be changed NUMEROUS times- they tried to charge us!!! So they ignored the first 4 requests which were free and then tried to charge us every time we asked for them to be changed after that. That's thievery. Bruce was told not to cut anything from the mass- yet after 2 years of waiting, we received a video that had all of the musical performances in the mass cut out. We spent over a grand on musicians and a singer and the songs were all cut out of the video. He said he would fix it and nearly 4 months later it's still not fixed and non one from this company has answered my emails or calls. This is unacceptable. It's unprofessional, and they are going back on their word. Rich, the owner told me we would get a monetary credit that he has since retracted and refuses to deliver and again has not answered any emails or calls. I have emails spanning 2 years of trying to track down my video and resolve the photo album issues that were only addressed when I threatened to sue the company. And even then they made promises they did not deliver on. Check their facebook page too. See how they respond to negative reviews. They will call you a scumbag and a joke. Not apologize and make improvements- but rather berate you and call you names. DO NOT work with this company. Any person that deals with customers for a living knows you can get fired on the spot for calling a client a scumbag- yet Clair Pruett makes a habit out of it. Again I say, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They ruined a great day for me and my wife, and 20 years from now when I show my kids and grandkids our video I will have a sour taste in my mouth. read more

This is the one thing that I was not happy with. Engagement photos were included in our photo/video package and came out just awful. My husband & I didn't feel like he (Rich) listened to anything we said, made no attempt to take photos that matched our personalities and we felt rushed (in & out in 30 minutes). We had my future sister-in-law (Aaren Lee Photography) re-take these and came out beautifully. The planning process after the engagement photos went pretty well. We made it known that we did not like Rich's style and so chose a different photographer (Maureen). We went talked about what we wanted and went through a list of photo ideas together so we felt really comfortable that our wedding photos would be better. The photo proofs were emailed to us within a month and I was immediately disappointed with most of them. While the quality was good I was disappointed that every single family photo was taken in the same location of our reception venue: the same set of steps with the ADA lift to the right & table jack to the left. The venue was amazing but every group shot was the same. Another thing was that my brother-in-law was captured in maybe 3 photos total- no pictures with him and no pictures of he and my sister together. I should note that Clair Pruett asked for a detail of family, anyone in the wedding and their significant other...I thought my matron of honor (my sister) and her husband would be photographed. I was wrong. Dress was bunched up, people not looking at the camera, glare from my husband's glasses not adjusted. We started the album process by July (wedding was in May). You make a favorites folder on the website to choose the album photos then submit it for the album. After that, their designers need 2 weeks to review our picks then set up a meeting. We submitted our photos for the album on 8/1 and couldn't get an appointment until 8/21 to review the photos together. We were told the album layout would be ready for review within 2-4 weeks. After almost 6 weeks, I wrote them to ask where the album layout was and was told that they were behind (shouldn't someone have reached out to tell me that?) and then miraculously our album layout was emailed to us the same day, 10/1. We met again to review the layout and at that time, we asked if the photos would be touched up, cropped, etc. and were told no, they don't do that. We were so perplexed- no touch ups up at all? Lighting adjustments so that all the photo lighting is the same? Crop out this table jack and ADA lift? After a little bit of an argument they said okay and made us go through each photo that we wanted fixed and what we wanted done to it. Isn't this what photographers/editors are supposed to do? Maybe it's just me. We got our final album back in April, 11 months after our wedding. As for the video, Bruce was great to work with on the day of but it was like pulling teeth to get a status update on the final product. The video quality was great but the edited video didn't contain one song that we submitted- not ONE. At this point (January- 8 months later), I was tired of complaining. There is not one photo that I am excited to blow up and hang on a wall (married almost a year now and still haven't hung any up). We are planning to have photos re-taken for our one year anniversary. read more

I had my senior portraits taken at Clair Pruett and I thought they did a really nice job. They were very accommodating and open to ideas. I was able to bring in multiple outfits and props, which allowed me to have a wide variety of pictures to choose from. Unfortunately, the day I had my pictures taken, I did not have the best of hair days. When I got my pictures back, I was unhappy with how my hair looked. The people at Clair Pruett were so nice about it, though. I got to go in again and retake the problematic pictures. I am really happy with how they turned out. (They do a wonderful job with editing the photos, as well!) read more

Clair pruett takes the senior portraits at my daughters school. You make an appointment for a one hour session, the main purpose of which is to get the senior drape photo for their yearbook. You may use the remainder of the hour for any other photos you want to have taken, including family photos, etc. well, we decided my daughter would get her formal portraits as well as some casual ones done and we would get a family picture taken. While the photographer was very nice and certainly seemed to know what he was doing, we were not at all pleased with the results. We only ended up with a total of 6 formal shots, and the drape was crooked in all of them. In addition, the positioning of our family members in the group photo was not good at all-my one daughter was so far out to the side that she looked like she wasn't even part of the family. To top all of this off, their prices are quite high. I ended up purchasing the rights to the session (for $500!!) which come in the form of a disc which I had to drive back to their location once again to pick up. When I got home, I discovered that the photos on the disc weren't even my daughters! read more
