After the wedding, all my wedding guests had horror stories to share about demanding, oblivious, self-centered wedding photographers. Everyone remarked on how wonderful it was to work with Matt and Laurie. They were pleasant, gracious, and considerate throughout the day. They were so discreet during the ceremony, I never once noticed them take any attention from the service. During the day, it was obvious they had listened when we talked about what we wanted and did not want for the photographs. Speaking of, Laurie was a fabulous communicator throughout the planning process. She graciously offered expert advice, such as when I was considering whether to have the entire ceremony bilingual, 'One of the best ways I have seen two languages integrated into a ceremony was...'. She was willing to work with us to make our unique wedding - a tiny Sunday afternoon with only 19 people - a special day for us. She was even able to get a beautiful photo of us to us the night of the wedding so we could send it out with wedding announcements the day after the wedding. What impressed me the most was the professionalism of the studio across the board - working with the owner on the timeline, working with the photographers each day, and the speed of the final deliverables. The studio even made some adjustments on a group photo to remove some items and enhance it. Prior to the start, the owner created a very detailed timeline of the event for each photographer and a group text to keep everyone informed of any changes or to handle any issues. The photographers themselves were great! They were not obtrusive, quick to respond and did a great job capturing the spirit of the event across the 3 days. I had avoided doing so because I understand how hard it can be for small businesses, especially in the wedding industry, and I do not leave negative reviews lightly. That said, the request brought the experience back, and I feel it is worth sharing for other couples. We originally booked J & J Studios during lockdown in 2020 for our April 2022 wedding. In January 2022, after I received a serious medical diagnosis, my husband and I had to postpone our wedding to October. Our venue and every other vendor worked with us, requested reasonable documentation, and did not require additional payment. J & J handled things differently. We were told we would need to pay a new deposit to hold the new date, plus an additional fee because they were unlikely to rebook our original date. We were told that if they did book it, the extra cost would be refunded. With significant medical bills at the time, that added cost was not feasible. For context, about two months after we postponed, I had a friend inquire about our original April date, and she was told it was booked. I wish the experience had been different. We were willing to meet them in the middle as far as the additional payment given the circumstances but they felt they could not at the time. I understand that businesses have policies, but during an already difficult and emotional time, we were left feeling unsupported.

I booked E&E Visuals for my engagement shoot, wedding photography and wedding videos in 2022/2023…read more I liked the look of their work and decided to book them after our initial consult, however due to COVID, we had to push our engagement shoot several months after we had planned for it. On short notice, Elvis was able to reschedule and meet us at a botanical garden and do our engagement shoot. He was prompt, friendly and gave us guidance for posing (we are not used to having our photo taken and needed the direction). We had discussed the vibe I was going for which was old Hollywood dramatic and romantic, and while not all of my ideas panned out in actuality, he did get me wonderful photos that really captured our personality. We felt completely at ease, and it really showed in our photos. I don't consider myself to be very photogenic and was expecting to hate how I looked in everything but I could not be happier with how they turned out. Same to be said for our wedding photos, we requested a specific shot of us kissing right after we said "I do" facing the audience in attendance and he made sure to get this picture done right. He helped me coordinate the day of timing so that he could get all of the shots I wanted, and even did a last minute run outside to catch the sun on our rainy wedding day. Lastly I have to say - our video exceeded my expectations. It felt like our very own movie, the editing was excellent, and he captured all of the most poignant moments that day on camera and film. 100% would recommend this vendor, they are awesome.

We would love to say that working with Studio Nine Photography was a pleasant delight but…read moreunfortunately their lack of professionalism is quite appalling and it honestly ruined our experience. While the quality of photos taken were nice, we regret trusting this studio with our wedding photos. Our first complaint is with our photographer, leading up to the wedding we were very open about specific photos we would have liked to be taken with family members. We shared a small list of the photos we would have liked, we didn't even receive half of these images. The words "Millitant" and "Drill Sergeant" were the kinder terms used to describe our photographer during the day of our wedding. Guests were yelled at, chairs were thrown, and while we hoped this was a process for getting the best images on our memorable day, yelling at elderly guests that they need to walk faster or they will not be in any photos is incredibly rude. Because of this behavior we were unable to have many photos with grandparents or elderly family members on our wedding day. After the wedding, our photographer posted a photo on her social media site to scorn our family members for having phones out during the ceremony. These were very clear images, it was easy to identify our guests, and it is completely unprofessional to shame wedding guests especially since our wedding was not "unplugged" nor did any members of the Studio Nine Photography group speak with us previously about phone usage. The first photos shared by members of this company for our wedding were shaming our guests. When we finally received our wedding photos, many images were lacking the creativity that was shown to us when we interviewed Studio Nine. We were shown super imposed images and told that the photographer would bring their own lighting to add to the creativity of our day, none of the images we received had these effects. It was unfortunate. Of course we reached out to Studio Nine to identify these issues and their response was what really turned us off with our experience. We were told that the reason some creativity was lacking in the photos was due to no communication on their part and a lack of time. Being the bride and groom, we were able to set up the timing of the wedding and could have pushed our cocktail time over to get the photos we wanted or the time the photographer needed. Studio Nine never communicated with anything about what they needed, they only told us that they would be able to create these photos. Studio Nine also agreed with us that our photographer behaved unprofessionally, but there was nothing they could do about it and could only consider it for future clients. So I am sharing with all potential future clients. My husband and I would not recommend working with a company who is lacking in effective communication, who's photographers feel entitled to subject your guests to online embarrassment, and who, after the fact, say there's nothing more they can do for you because they need to worry about future clientele instead of current clients. We regret considering this company an honest and professional organization.
