Rae Gabrielle de la Crétaz, Claim Your Voice and Sing, is a singing teacher with 45 years experience. I specialize in problems, people who believe they're tone deaf, people who've strained and hurt themselves, people who want to sing healthily.
I don't care if you're a professional, or someone who has never sung outside of your own shower. Everyone can sing better, for choir, community chorus, karaoke, you can sing better.
I NEVER teach children. Singing lessons are intense and require a minimum amount of physical maturity. Children can take general music, piano, or other instruments, choirs, school chorus. All those things are great. I don't teach them.
My minimum age for students is 13. There's no maximum.
In addition to teaching in person, I teach online through Google Hangouts and Facetime. I have students all over the country and even overseas.
History
Established in 1973.
I've taught singing in Caldwell since 1973. In the last few years, I've expanded to include online lessons, which are very effective. I was the assistant choral director and James Caldwell High School and I taught vocal music at Felician College.
Meet the Business Owner: Rae D.
I'm Rae Gabrielle de la Crétaz and I have taught singing since I graduated, BA, from Oberlin College in 1973. I has performed in a medieval and Renaissnance group, then in classical concerts throughout north Jersey and New York. In the last few years, I've added jazz to her repertoire. She's also performed in community theatre, doing Broadway style productions.
I studied for 20 years with Florette Blank, then for 10 more years with Gloria Blanco. My background is strongly in the Lamperti tradition.
I love teaching all styles from classical and jazz, to my students in heavy metal bands. I care most that whatever my students do they do it well and stay healthy.
