I had to take an entire day off from work and wait at home for the technician. Around 12:00 PM, I called to check on the status, and the AI representative told me that a note would be left regarding my call. I called again around 3:30 PM and received the same response. The service window has now passed, and no technician ever showed up. I wasted an entire day waiting at home, with no meaningful update or communication about when--or whether--the technician was coming. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. If the company could not make the appointment, they should have notified me rather than leaving me waiting all day. I would not do business with this company again, and I would not recommend them to others.

I spoke with Mike at Air Repair, and he came over (on time) a couple of days later. He saw that my house was relatively new, and asked me when it was built (Dec 2019 - 4 years ago). He took a look at the ducts in the furnace room and said that cleaning the ducts would not help as they are already clean. He recommended changing the air filter a bit more frequently and said that the dust was probably normal. Next, I asked him to look at our dryer vent/tube. He said he would need to come back for that, and he did - on time. Wow! He quickly and efficiently cleared out the dryer tube, vent, and dryer filter. He showed me before and after pictures. He also advised me on how to clean the dryer more efficiently with a long bristle brush and flat vacuum hose nozzle. Very friendly, polite, on-time, and reasonably priced. I cannot recommend Presidential Heating & Air Conditioning based on my experience…read more I hired the company to perform a refrigerant leak search for my HVAC system and paid over $750 for the diagnostic service. According to the technician's diagnosis, the indoor evaporator coil was leaking and needed to be replaced. However, a subsequent licensed HVAC contractor discovered that the outdoor condenser originally tested by Presidential was not actually connected to my apartment. After identifying the correct condenser and testing the correct system, they found no leak in the evaporator coil. The HVAC problem was ultimately resolved by replacing the reversing valve, not the evaporator coil. Because the wrong outdoor unit was tested, I believe the diagnostic conclusions I paid for were not reliable. This resulted in significant delays, additional contractor expenses, and considerable time spent trying to determine the actual problem. I contacted Presidential directly and requested a refund for the diagnostic service, providing an explanation and supporting documentation, but did not receive a response. I understand that HVAC troubleshooting can be challenging, but correctly identifying which equipment serves the property is a fundamental first step before diagnosing or recommending replacement of major components. Unfortunately, that did not happen in my case.
