Met Crawford in early 2022 when we moved to Cedar Bluff, Alabama. We knew no one here we could trust of course. Found Crawford by way of a sign advertising his services in a local business we visited. In our case we needed some trees removed. We had several tree folks come out and provide quotes. Then I met with Crawford. Crawford told us what he would do, gave us his quote and we parted. After we met, I felt as though I had known him for years. We hired him for the job. He showed up on time with his crew, did exactly what he said he would do, he led his crew and worked himself, and that was priceless to me. After that, Crawford was the only man I would call for anything we needed done. It didn't stop with just trees. He completely rebuilt our entire staircase to our dock, rebuilt decks and staircases on our home, and much more. If you need a man you can trust to do the work properly, then look no further. I was extremely impressed by these four individuals attentiveness of what Jeffrey was instructing them to do. Jeff had initially told me $3800 for my rather large deck plus we needed a wheelchair ramp that I thought to be impossible to build given the space of good solid ground he had to work with up the street. My mom had to have it. Her health isn't good. Jeff explained to me that there could be more added at the end depending on what took place at my mom's home. If it turned taking him the entire 5 days he allotted for my two projects the total would $6100.00 which I thought was a great deal due to the situation at my mom's. Jeff and I decided to knock my Deck out then move to my mom's. These guys were done with my deck in 2 days. But when they finished at my mom's and was packing up to leave after day 3 I was astonished. Especially when Jeffrey came to collect for the job. I paid $3,000 up front like Jeffrey asked. That would have left another $3100. When he told me all I owed was $2,000 I almost cried. Awesome man of God!

We were pleased with the photos of his craftsmanship until we were in town and on closer inspection realized that Mr. Byers installed doors costing $538 each rather than the $1353.61 each for which he had quoted. Prior to installation, we were clear in our communication with him that we wanted the better quality doors. He responded with a photo of the doors he would be purchasing, and we agreed to the quote based on that quality of doors. We would never agreed to over $3600 for materials for the cheaper doors. We tried to get to the bottom of this with him several times and we received either no response or delays, until he admitted to the cheaper brand doors (but without showing the price). Further, he did not provide paperwork, receipts, or the lifetime warranty provided with the better doors upon request. We are in a bad way, because this is our retirement home and we needed to have a product that was durable and energy saving. We have no proof of purchase or promised lifetime warranty for the existing doors. We will likely have to replace these doors too as they do not appear durable. I would be very leery of hiring this person/company, especially if you are not personally purchasing the material or supervising the work. Our review is showing as from CA, but we are actually in North Georgia.
