I honestly don't know where to start with this review as it's all so bad…read more I can start with workmanship, or lack of it. See the photos attached for the standard of the plastering, there are float marks all over, ripples and snots of plaster. It took us days to rectify it with sandpaper and filler and the mess he made was totally avoidable and unnecessary. In fact the mess from day one was horrendous, he never used plastic sheeting or dust sheets. He didn't put a skip on my property instead piled all the rubbish and rubble on the drive and garden and it sat there for weeks (so long the beams he left in the garden turned the grass yellow) The radiator took him 5 attempts to attach it to the wall, during which he bent the brackets and gouged out a hole in the floor beam for the pipes rather than measuring correctly, and then when it still wasn't right he used caulk to fill the screws into the wall. The tiling was a disaster with him chipping tiles and not aligning them correctly. It was so bad we had to let him go before he finished and we had to rip up the whole £2000 worth of tiles and redo the floor. But that wasn't an end to the sorry saga, no. The electricians he contracted first put every single spot light and pendant fitting in the wrong place. They didn't wire the new fuse board correctly; put the sockets in not levelled up; didn't leave enough room between the back boxes to put the front plates on; didn't put the correct cooker cable in; stood on my new worktops and would not come back to complete the second fix and rectify their mistakes. I have had to hire and pay another electrician. Add to that Chinos made a doorway too short by 4 inches; didn't allow room in the chimney breast for the extractor motor by putting the boxing in too close to the lintel; didn't turn up till nearly 10am had an hour lunch break and left at 4pm most days (apart from those days he had to work late to attempt to rectify his mistakes!) left his apprentice and labourer to do jobs he should have been doing while he messed on his phone; was recorded on ring cam being highly disrespectful, and you get the idea. I really, really, really regret the day I ever set eyes on and hired Sean Chinos maintenance. I supplied endless hot and cold drinks, biscuits and snacks, made allowances for days off, daily trips to builders merchants and him doing other work and yet he showed no respect and displayed and threatening attitude when we complained. He clearly was not capable of such a complex job. I'm still dealing with and paying out to fix problems him and his electrician (who it turns out I discovered wasn't even registered!) have caused, it has been a total nightmare 4 months with still no end. I cannot in all good conscience let anyone else have this same experience.

What a truly disappointing experience for us…read more We hired truly to repair leaks in our conservatory roof above and below our roof vent. Despite asking them to do so, they declined to come to site and quote for the work, instead asking us to email photos of our roof to them so they could confirm it was a roof type they could repair. We duly did so. They then took a deposit from us equivalent to 25% of the total cost and sent us invoice paperwork to cover that. This meant they had agreed to a contract. There was no inspection of the problem prior to coming to site. They then came to site and duly performed the repair work, resealing the glass in and around the roof vent. This took a couple of hours. They then took full payment on the spot and then went away. We had to write to them to get a repair invoice and also a follow up repair report which we had also paid for. There was no follow up call in the days thereafter to determine if we were satisfied with the service as customers. A few days later, when it rained, amazingly the roof leaked again above the vent, although the area below the vent appeared to be fine and wasn't leaking (and hasn't since). We then contacted Truly the next working day (about 7 days after their repair) and advised them of the problem and asked them to return to re-examine the repair above the vent to determine what might be the problem, and to fix it. It appeared to us that the roof vent itself wasn't properly affixed to the panel above it thus leaving a gap and allowing a leak to continue. Not being experts we weren't sure, which is why we hired someone like Truly - to get to the bottom of the problem and resolve it. After a phone call with them and a couple of emails asking them to return to fix the leak, they refused. They claimed that the roof wasn't one they were familiar with and could repair. This surprised us greatly as we had asked them before they did the work to confirm this and upon sending them photos they duly did confirm it. Also, their website makes it quite clear that they can repair any type of conservatory roof. At this point we reminded them of their repair guarantee and asked them to honour that guarantee in good faith. Its not as if we had waited the full 12 months of the guarantee to advise of a new leak - we did it within days - and we felt we had done absolutely the right thing by making them aware of the problem. As far as we know, on the day of repair, there was no testing done to determine if the leak had been fixed so you can only really wait until it rains to find that out, which we did unfortunately. We made it known that we didn't believe the repair had been completed right and we had hired them to repair the leaks above and below the vent, and the leak above the vent still remained. Despite repeated requests to ask them to honour their warranty or provide a refund, they refused both. They have since refused contact with us and we have now had to file a formal complaint with TrustMark, who regulate such repairs in the industry. It is truly an unfortunate turn of events as this leak had been causing us problems for some time. We had sought out a repair organisation that based on their website reviews and repair guarantee, could assure us they would find the sources of the leaks and repair these and then honour those repairs. To have this still not fixed and the repair organisation simply ignore its customer without showing good faith is, well, truly disappointing indeed. We are hopeful that Truly will recognise the importance of keeping all customers happy and that through the TrustMark complaints process we shall achieve the result we believe we have paid for - a repair backed by a guarantee of service as advertised. This is all we ever wanted along with a non-leaking roof. Hopefully, we can update this review later with a more positive reflection of the good deeds of Truly as they return to effect our repair in good order with a view to making us satisfied customers ! That would be a truly good outcome for all concerned.

We gave up trying to repair it and asked Truly to quote for a complete new roof with glass this time. We contacted 4 companies 1 didn't turn up 1 had a 2 min look and said if we're thinking of spending 10k he'll sit down and chat and we also received 2 competitive quotes. Because Truly had looked after us so well previously we gave them the job. Ordered mid November the work was done in some atrocious weather in December within the 2 days we had been advised. An excellent job and what difference it has made, much warmer and hardly any noise when it's raining we are very happy with the new roof and would Highly recommend Truly.
